Very well done, this game actually taught me to read at a couple grade levels ahead all those years back. Fun fact, the reason there's only one hero and typically one monster (always one?) on screen was to ensure console players weren't overwhelmed.
I got this game on the NES way back when and I was amazed with it's structure. I was ten and had no idea what and rpg was. The closest I had gotten up until that point was The Legend of Zelda II since it had experience points and leveling. I would sit and play this game for eight hours at a stretch. I was totally enthralled by it. Classic, classic game and very important for console rpgs.
I started back in the day with the holy trinity of games: Ultima, Wizardry and Might & Magic. And oh boy, Dragon Warrior was easy in comparison. Clear goal and a logical created world to explore. And nothing tops Wizardry 4 in terms of difficulty. When you grind to get your level up quickly the difficulty goes into easy territory very fast in Dragon Warrior. It’s the meat of early jrpgs. It took them some time to reach Might and Magic levels of story telling.

...Huh. It's not 8 Melodies at all, actually. It's Rikki's theme from Xenoblade Chronicles. ua-cam.com/video/tlUF-ZlrwRs/v-deo.html Starts at about 1:30. It does sound similar now that you mention it!
If I have never played Dragon quest and want to play XI, Where do you recommend me to start? By 1 to 3 on mobile? Also I don't have MUCH time to play a lot of games before playing XI
In all honesty, DQ11 is a fantastic place to start. But if you do wish to play the original trilogy, the mobile versions are a great place to that. Same with the Switch versions as they're basically the same thing. I will say that DQ2 is easily the most skippable one. DQ3 makes way more references to 1 then it does to 2. And DQ2's end game is so phenomenally aggravating that I'd say play 1 then 3 if you'd rather save yourself the hassle.
Also worth mentioning that, like Final Fantasy, DQ games tend to have self contained stories. The first 3 are a connected trilogy and 11 does make some references to them. 4 through 6 are a separare trilogy as well, but the connections are a lot looser. It doesn't terribly matter what order you play them in.

Good video. Sucks to see you don’t have many views cause this is pretty well made
Thanks!
I can see your channel blowing up, you have great editing format
Thanks!

Great job. You gave me some good laughs with this review.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
You deserve way more subs man.
Thanks, though I'm doing that to myself with how seldom I upload.
How do you not have more subs ? You deserve it !
Thanks! Though I have myself to blame for the sub thing, given how rarely I upload videos.
Thank you for a fantastic review 👍
You're welcome! Glad you liked it!
You should review the second DQ trilogy
Probably will at some point! Finished DQ4 and am partway through 5.

@@earthboundian4871 Thank you very much man! I will suscribe
Which version would you recommend if I am just starting?
Well, the mobile version is pretty good. The Switch version is basically the same thing with button controls if you'd rather have that.
it's not old english it's an attempt at early modern english. if it were old english you wouldn't understand a single word.
True, true.
