Oh, those little party plates were just darling. I would have had a hard time resisting them! They are fun to use if you host bridal showers for daughters or nieces. I have several clear ones but no cups! Those painted ones would just be so wonderful to use!! 💗 This was a great goodwill shopping trip!! Ps…you did a WONDERFUL job getting that sweet little jewelry box cleaned!!
Ohhhh those daisy snack plates were gorgeous! I think I would have bought them just to have an excuse to have friends over for a luncheon. So, so pretty!!
Fiesta collector here! The S&P’s don’t have the mark, so those certainly appear to be Fiesta. It’s hard to tell exactly but think the color is cobalt (discontinued ). The pepper shaker should have six holes and the salt will have an extra one in the middle. 👍
Great haul today. So glad you took a chance on those lovely dishes. I’m equally sad those older girl pictures don’t sell well for you, l just loved them. There is always going to be something different for very one. What luck with that Royal Dalton. 🥰 Thank you so much for sharing!
The JK Adams two piece thing at 10:48 is for serving pistachios. Nuts in the center, shells around the edge. I just sold one - very long tail. JK Adams makes things for Crate and Barrel and not sure who else. Great store in Manchester, VT that we visited years ago
I have that Royal Doulton Bo Peep on my mantle! I got it in honor of the Little House on the Prairie books because the mom, (Caroline), always had one on her mantle. Wherever they moved to, the shepherdess came along and was placed on the mantle to signify that they were home. It's beautiful!
I was at a Goodwill that does not merchandise but throws and shoves items on shelves when I spotted a box. It was the wood aisle but knew immediately it was a leather box. Picked it up, turned it over, and read Elsa Peretti for Tiffany & Co. 1st Dibs has one for sale for $350 called The Wave, a jewelry box. Woo hoo!!!
I have an earring box and a jewelry box very similar. Mine are Wells brand. I got them in the 1970's. The selling feature was that you could turn them upside down and everything stayed in place. Great for traveling.
I loved the old canisters still in a box and was so proud of you for paying up and getting some things you normally would not have. Good job Dagny 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Glad you got the whistles those weird looking things were my favorite and then the girl. What. not I forgot which one she was but it was cute. You. got a lot of great stuff. Did a good job. Thanks for the video and I’ll catch you on your next one.
That frame with the little girls poem would come back to life with some gold rub n buff. They have it in gold, silver, bronze, antique gold, ebony, pewter, and so many more. It is amazing how it brings damaged colors back to life. I think antique gold would do wonders for that frame.
Wow Dagney! This was an awesome shopping trip! I too am looking forward to seeing you shopping here again! And yes! Please do a showing of that poem piece, that is beautiful!!!!!
What a great shopping trip! I loved the glass canister and dishes with the green leaves looked like they belong together. What a great collection of blue willow too! Charlie at the end with his ears popping up at the loud chord was so cute. My grand puppy is scared to death of the piano.
Edit : You picked it up ! So at about 10:55 I recognized the uncommon goods tag. I looked the items up. They actually belonged together. It is a Pistachio Pedestal. ... This solid wood pistachio server is designed to offer an elegant solution for storing discarded shells... it sold for 50 bucks
So much dagney! A theme even...cool. commentary was superb. We say mettloCK, no matter the several variations of spelling..old mettlloch ends in er. That was a pretty pattern. I wish I had remembered to look at the makers mark. You did wonderful I think. The blue willow is so pretty. Those nice baskets can be whitewashed with a sponge any colour and look beautiful! Restrained with natural homemade stains too. Smack that ping pong ball girl! ❤
I have the same exact green LE Smith canister as well as the next size up in the amber color.. i found both at a thrift store for $4 each. I love them so much!! I am obsessed with LE Smith glass and although the resale isn’t the highest I adore the gorgeous colors and have quite the collection now 😊 loved watching you find the same one and that you enjoyed it enough to grab it! It reassures my tastes when Dagny likes the same things I do 😂😂
I'm watching this on my phone (so not large or detailed)...was that piece IF by Rudyard Kipling? If so, it's a truly wonderful work of wisdom and poetry; it's beautifully presented (whatever the actual poem turns out to be). I'm a fan and collector of Buzza motto prints; usually quaint and cheery little poems about Mother, Friendship or Home but they also did some more serious poetry and quotes. These small inspirations were usually accompanied by beautifully painted illustrations, often with a touch of gilding (reverse painted on the glass sometimes) and a stylized frame which made them quite common as gifts in the 1900- 30's. I love them and think they hold even more value today than they did when first popular; when I see a reseller pass them by in a video I tend to say aloud, "Go back!" .😄
um an old wives tale - an unburnned candle wick is unlucky - so one is to just light and blow out. LOL 😁 well it's what we were told oh so many years ago - and you really got some great finds today
@8:17 YAYAYAAAA!!! You’re getting the blue velvet travel jewelry box!! YES!!!💙💙💙💙
🐷🧡Oh my goodness Dagny! A lot of nice things on this trip. THANKS for taking me along. I hope you are having a good day. HUGS!!!🧡🐖

Those champagne glasses were gorgeous!

11:50 Yes yes! A short about the poem! I love things like this!
Love the red dog planter!

The white and red candle choir boys are vintage...from the 50's/60's.
Wow some fantastic things

Beautiful Royal Dalton figurine. And behind it was a real Hummel.

That wooden box with pegs was so neat I wish I could find things like that
I love the blue plate! Enjoyed this video.
Great video, Dagney!!

Beautiful blue box
Hairspray takes ink out. Old trick from my nursing days.
Nonacetone nailpolish remover also works on ink
Wore white for years as a nurse....hairspray was my best friend 😊
What is Jenny’s channel, so I can follow & subscribe🥰
We had Chico and Elena on our wall growing up. Now my mother has them wrapped up in a box.

This was a beautiful video Dagney.
I’ve found, recently, that paying up, within reason, is definitely worthwhile for my booth.
Oh the daisy snack dishes were beautiful!
I LOVE the jewelry box! It cleaned up very nicely, it’s beautiful!
Velvet jewelry box maybe made by Mele. Fun shopping trip!🌻
This is the first time I have seen a Royal Doulton at the Good Will. Well done.
What a great shopping trip! I loved the glass canister and dishes with the green leaves looked like they belong together. What a great collection of blue willow too! Charlie at the end with his ears popping up at the loud chord was so cute. My grand puppy is scared to death of the piano.
Try a steam iron with a cloth on the top of the jewelry box. It might take the mark out
Edit : You picked it up !

Great, great haul!! You found awesome things. I believe the jewelry box brand is Mele. Watt & Shand sold that brand. Cleaned up rather nicely.

I liked the Art of Chokin plaque. I use eye make-up remover for stains on textiles.
Please please please buy the blue willow by Johnson Brothers!!!

At the bottom of the piece it says “Suggested by Kipling’s “IF”, J. P. McEvoy”. It looks like it’s dated 1924.
Great treasures. Loved all you purchased today. Favorite is blue willow set, and the holy family in silver.
You found great items again in this video👍❣ Your clean up job on the velvet is so good.
Great haul, Dagny.
Charlie is a cutie.

Hi Dagney, I carry a Tide stain pen in my purse, I use it to help judge if a stain is going to come out or not. Just a thought.
