I would love to see a review & comparison of the Swan M300MKII to the M300, D1090, D300. The M300 Mk2 has improved power, a larger physical size, a changed tweeter (from cat-eye to ribbon), and is 3-way (opposed to 2-way). It's a big jump in price though at MSRP $800 or $900 compared to M300 Mk1 ($530), D1090 ($400), D300 ($300).
Holy shit, I thought I was the only person alive who still owned the Ren & Stimpy soundtrack, and I recognized that song by the first opening arpeggio but thought "no way, it can't be!". But it was. Bravo. Also thanks for the thorough reviews.
I've had them for months, tried them in every configuration possible - can confirm maxing out the bass and treble knobs "unlock" the speakers like in Zeos' M300 MkII review (go check it out there) - everything sounds better, nothing sounds too much, it's definitely not a "boost". Also the difference in analog vs digital input is perceptible, but very slightly so. I prefer to keep the signal chain to them digital (get the cheap SMSL PO100 and connect it to your laptop or something). The ONLY flaw is that the volume jumps are rather large so it gets annoying (and they really do sound much better loud) so sometimes I just connect them via XLR to my DAC and lower the signal on the DAC so I can crank the actual speakers. TL;DR HIGHEST PRAISE FOR SWAN

Yep. They actually could be had for less than $380 in the US. Plus tax of course. I went for the D200's for $280. Like them a lot. Do worry about US warranty support as apparently, there is none.
I know, you said these are the best soeakers for under $1,000. But, how do these compare - in detail retrieval - to either the Adam A5X or the Genelec 8020D?
I have the Airpulse A300 for a couple of months now. I think I need a streamer to get proper sound through it. Are the D300 better than the A300 (airpulse) thanks in advance
Hi z, do you have any suggestion with which speaker, monitor doesn't really matter, for under 400 euros i can get the most in balance sound? So really detailed and balanced is my preference. Audiophile level. Thanks a lot!

I know they are different types of speakers for different applications but how would you compare the clarity and loudness of these speakers to the PSA mt110 you reviewed a while back? I still have my eyes on those for lcr in my ht. Are the PSA speakers still the beasts that you thought they were back then?
So, if I'm just about to buy a pair of powered speakers for my desktop (I say desktop, but my speakers are on stands and it uses a 48" tv as a monitor and I just push my chair back if I want to watch movies and such), and I was pretty sold on the Triangle Elaras, should I reconsider and maybe get these instead? I might be psychotic enough to use these for a desk setup, but right now, I don't really get them loud that often. It sounds like these are better, but how much? Z Swans are basically DIY speakers with low to mid range parts and drivers. If these do that well, maybe we should consider what we're really getting from other brands and hold them accountable.
Anyone who have listen to Swan D100, D200 or D300, how wide the horizontal dispersion or how big is the sweet spot with the waveguide? I'm hoping to be at least 90 degree or more for a wider sweet spot.
So.you recommend using digital input but what if I want to connect these to my Denon 4500 avr. As part of home.cinema 7.2.4. Then the coax input is the only way, right?
@Z Reviews gotta love timing. If this video had come out a week later I could have grabbed a set of these. I am putting together a new desk and want some nice nearfield bookshelf/monitor speakers to add to it. Thanks.
Watched the video when they were still in stock but couldn't justify the extra shipping cost of ~$315USD to Australia, when the Edifier S3000Pros can be bought for ~$455USD delivered. Are they really that much better than the 3000pros?
Dangit I just the got the swan m300 off his raving review! I saw the d300 and noticed them but now they are sold out hahaha. How much better are the d300 than m300
Hey man I own both and the kef ls50 wireless. Your good with what you got . Better looking speaker in the long run after the novelty wears off. Sound wise these d300 do not have the fullness of the kef. D300 compared to m300 sound compressed. Zeos is a great sales guy take that with a grain of salt .you have to understand his music sound taste and that takes watching hundreds of his videos. He likes his mids
They’re Emotiva Airmotiv/Stealth 6, but not quite. Emotiva made the superior version of these almost 10 years ago; however, the rear adjustments are a nice touch. I’m surprised you’re not comparing them to the Emo!
You're probably well aware of this but almost all modern active speakers and monitors are internally DSP'ed. That applies to the LSR 305s, MR524s, iLouds, Rokits, T5Vs and most others.

What are the best dolby atmos headphones???

Swans are basically DIY speakers with low to mid range parts and drivers. If these do that well, maybe we should consider what we're really getting from other brands and hold them accountable.
Swan is HIVI, they make amazing drivers.
Me: Looking for the measuring tape.
My Philips FW-777: Sweating.
They look a lot like the Edifier Air pulses and swan always does that, they always look like some Edifier speaker. Not saying they sound the same.
These or rp600m. Look like a similar style build
This vs klipsch fives?
Can you remove the grill over the woofer?
can you plug a 3.5mm cable coming from the pc to the coax port or use a 3.5mm to rca cable instead?
Get a USB to coax or optical to connect to your PC.
Zeooos, how does the GL1200 compare to the Meze Empyrean sound wise? When sound is concerned which one is to get?;))
get the Empyrean
@@digitalnation2876 thank you for your input! Things start to open up here in the NL, so I will request for a listening test soon.
You could hook it to the RCA Pre-Outs of that unit. COAX is another digital input, you need analog.
@@ZReviews That's what I thought. Thanks
@Z Reviews gotta love timing. If this video had come out a week later I could have grabbed a set of these. Given it will probably be an eternity before they are back in stock, how do you rate the iLoud MTM in comparison (or maybe the Adam T5V/T7V)? I am putting together a new desk and want some nice nearfield bookshelf/monitor speakers to add to it. Thanks.
These are way too huge for nearfield tbh. I recommend the Kali IN-5 (not the 8-inch, too big once again)
Listening to you is exciting always. Best audio advice and dream like viewing. I want to now learn more.
I want these so bad but I have D1090s that I don't currently have a use for. Ughhh I have too many speakers!
are those good ?
Yes definitely worth purchasing if you are looking for powered speakers.
I have the D1090s on my desk, and I DO love them! they do need the treble down tho
Hay Zeos who was that covering little wing ?
Watched the video when they were still in stock but couldn't justify the extra shipping cost of ~$315USD to Australia, when the Edifier S3000Pros can be bought for ~$455USD delivered. Are they really that much better than the 3000pros?
Buy these off of AliExpress and negotiate for lower shipping prices (but delivery will take longer, obviously). I got them for $530 shipped to Croatia
Because im an idiot im gonna go for some alto tx 208 or the tx 210 because i want to go loud without an external amp
I just got jbl 530s on sale 🙃
Where can we buy Swans?
That applies to the LSR 305s, MR524s, iLouds, Rokits, T5Vs and most others.
true 'active' means it has internal amp and the sound rely heavily on its quality
