I always come to your channel for this type of games, (I don't watch a lot of gameplay only Sims and City builders) and I love the way you play, very natural and organic and also everything has a logic and I love learning that. Not a "gamer" thinking what could get more views 👍🏻👍🏻

It's fun to hear you talk about your style of doing things and comparing/contrasting with other UA-camrs. However, I like your style best! As another commenter said, it very much so feels like we're playing together and that we're playing to have fun, not necessarily achieve a specific purpose. And for me, that's what video games are all about - having the most fun we can!

The scarecrow has been around since ancient egypt, to keep birds from eating seeds and/or ready crops. Some crops do need their seeds to be 'turned under' though.
@cityplannerplays showed that as long as you form the militias before the retinues, you can keep them as long as you never delete them. Then you gain a retinue with each manor and can still hire mercs... So you can definitely end up with more than ten companies.

In the last video I commented that I thought I saw the first symptoms of a food problem in Swords. Ive played the game many hours since and yeah, Swords is in deep trouble. I'm afraid your food economy and food logistics are collapsing. Swords doesn't make enough food and buying will become very expensive very soon. And the food you do have doesn't get distributed fast enough. Those are actually the same problem the few granary workers you have are so overworked, they don't have time to mend to their plots and make no food. Long story short: way less market stalls (4-10 is plenty) and triple your granaries and specialize them.

I watched your stuff back when you were Republic of Play (if I'm correct). Mostly Total War. Haven't really come back since but I stayed subscribed for some reason. When I saw this series I was curious and have kept watching. I really anticipate each next episode. Whatever your play and commentary style is for Manor Lords, I really like it. Maybe how relaxed you sound but IDK.
The were actual gridded medieval settlements, they tended to be planned out rather than grow organically. Some also grew from the older Roman layout that was typically a grid.
The Ale production is also kind of messed up right now. You need crazy amounts of breweries etc to do it. You're best just buying it in ready made on the market. You can disable the granaries from accepting it too so it should just go straight to the tavern. Skips a logistics step.
I believe that market stalls will fill whatever market was built first before filling another market. However I believ you can manually move stalls around, like you can with some buildings.
The beer consumption is absolutely through the roof. It is something absurd like one barrel per family per month. That's why you are constantly short. AFAIK developer asked twitter already for their preferred solution.

Im surprised the save file loaded. I heard from other youtubers that the preview build given to all of you was incompatible with the official EA one. Nice to see the run survive.

For the Trade Depot, isn't the tradeoff that it takes longer to move the goods to/from town? Also, I don't want him trying to combat cheese and work on adding all the missing features. This is a single player game, not a competitive shooter.
Yo Darren, is your Anno series completed, or are you planning on coming back?
How do u draw lines for the soldiers to fallow? Or even movements well in battle? Or is that not really in yet?
I think it's Ctrl+Right Click to drag for soldiers to follow a line. Can only do it on one unit at time, not a group.
For moving entire formations together, it's Alt+Right Click and drag. I do it in th enext episode to keep my lines cohesive when moving them.

Tho the idea is not new and we saw numerous similar games over recent years.
Is this the best implementation of city building game? Prob not.
Is this fun game? Prob yes.
Does this worth 14.99? For me - no.
