Daniel Valdez, as Uncle Lelo, write the song and plays with Ritchie, it's the guy who hold the guitar! We see Connie and Bob in this scene: Connie is the old lady who is sit aside Lou Diamond Phillips and Bob is with Esai Morales in the end of the scene!
@0:18-0:19 That is Ritchie Valens actual mother there. She sadly passed 3 months after the film came out, yet approved of the move and Lou playing her son. There were a lot of family members involved in this, Bob and two other sisters I believe.

Ya se ha dicho en inglés, pero apuntar que la señora que aparece en el segundo 18 es la verdadera Concepción Valenzuela, madre de Ritchie, y el bigotón que aparece con Esai Morales desde el segundo 49 hasta el final es el verdadero Roberto Morales. 🙂
