I have a spinner suggestion, was tryna find the name of it online, butt cant find it. Dont know if they still make them, guess closest would be a mepps agila long in simple silver or gold, then whip some red wool or suchwise to the hook shank and leave a bit of a tail. I did find something else tho, apparently there is a bait company called uncle josh

You are killing it today Josh. Started off by singing some hilarious tunes, then ya cranked up the goofy banter to about 8, caught some awesome trout and had a bunch of viewers recognize you out at the lake. You're getting famous, at least on your home turf. Next you might start getting hounded by the paparazzi ! Thanks for the video Josh!

    Dave and Marilyn...
Southwest Missouri here Josh...I fish one of Missouri's premiere Trout springs and hatcheries, Roaring River State Park. In fact I live about 10 minutes away in good old Cassville, Mo. All kinds of fishermen from all over come and test their skills here. Some use fly rods and flies. Me, I use an ultra light open face cambo with 2 pound test, a number 12 or 14 hook and almost always an orange " Lucky Lady Trout Worm ". The smaller tackle helps me get more strikes and catch more fish...a similar set up may help you as well in Nebraska...

I have fished Roaring River. Those are some smart trout. When the season is over, the big ones are catch and release.

on Onchorynkus mykiss aka Rainbowtrout there are generally fin and head deformation because of the genes (been used since he dark ages ) And from the fish farm Maan it just is My biggest bet is on the genepool when they have been in the water a couple of years they start to Naturalise ive caught a 5lb something Onchorynkus mykiss with nice fins still not the best but still large from the ice . look for Stelhead thats the naturalised "rainbow" around argentina sounds uite nice for big large "Steelhead" i guess of its origin so ive been learned as a fish stock breeder amongs other subjects . Keep it up always a pleasure to watch ! / Paul Roger Nilsson

Yeah the old man is right trout like to constantly swim i fish for them at lake erie a different strain called steel head but on clear days you can see them swimming in big pods up and down the breaker walls i have only ever seen one sitting still against a wall in a rock cove but it was because baitfish were funneling through the wall i threw a crank bait in front of him and he smashed it craziest sight fish i have ever gotten. Also try a rubber net it makes getting hooks out of the net a million times easier.

I have a tiny "lake" close to me (15 minute drive from my house in my town), it's a "watwrboy" behind the Department of transportation right off the highway. On monday March 29th I went there for only 4 hours and caught 8 massive trout on my bait pole 🤦‍♂️😂
Float and tail of nightcrawler, trying to catch baitfish for catfishing. I also caught a new species, I didn't know we had. A friggen Colorado Golden Trout......
40 years fishing central Illinois, I've never caught one of those. I did that day. Golden as shit with the red line.
Typically I go to this spot for big crappie / bass and occasional trout. It's also produced big cats occasionally. Just not recently for me.

Here's my trout secret. Get a can of canned Mackerel in Brine. Drain the liquid off into a jar, I use Power-bait jars, keep the lids on until ready to fish but let the jars sit out in the Sun for a few days. Take the tail of your lure and dip it in the ripe juice. Also, we take a pea size power-bait and dip it in the juice just before we cast. We always limit even on days when they aren't biting for everyone else.
