What a terrible thing to say to a young person. It wasn’t just his NFL dream she basically told him he could never be nothing anyway.

Has to make Rodgers feel like a god everytime he throws a td or drops a 50 yard bomb perfectly into a receivers fingertips. Man I wish I was that good at something, I’d be the most arrogant prick imaginable to those who doubted me and I’d regularly let them know about it.

Never in a million years is anyone going to take fucking advice from a food appreciation professor but that moment when he said watch me, that's gold!

Right?! Like how do you even get a job like that 😂😂 When he said “watch me” that was totally bad ass!

My first semester in college I asked my parents if they would buy my books because I was totally broke. My dad did very well in life, had a graduate degree from UCLA and said they would not pay for my books because education was wasted on me. 😂
I ended up dropping out after my second semester because I couldn’t handle the financial obligation of school (I knew nothing about student loans or grants).
Subsequently, I went into business for myself, and after my second full year in business, my mom asked me how I was doing. I worked 60-70 hours, 7 days a week in the beginning.
When I told her how much I made, she said, you made more than your father! Then she said, I never thought you would amount to anything 😂😂😂
Needless to say, when I got older, and had kids of my own, I never, ever said anything even close to that to them, I ALWAYS encouraged them. All three of them graduated from very good universities and became very successful following their passions.
By the way, I never disliked my parents for making that decision and years later, I discovered that the way I was treated throughout my childhood actually made me a better person in that, I believed anything was possible and all I needed to do was work for it.

I imagine a majority of would-be professional athletes, actors and musicians were told "You'll never make it" or a semblance, thereof.

Absolutely! The smallest minuscule of a percent makes it to be a professional actor, Athlete, musician, Etc. It’s so improbable that if Aaron Rodgers told me he wanted to play in the NFL 20 years ago, I’d probably say the same thing! 😂

Best argument ever for going to a trade school.

It all makes sense after I first heard it..I knew about the Butte College route b4 Cal Berkley..falling in the draft to the 24th pick..but the chip on the shoulder I always thought it was more or less something he made up in his head for motivation. But the fact of the matter is rejection and doubters can truly be a great motivator if you use it as such!

My college professor told me I suck to my face at the clinical site and said she wasn't feeling it with me. So I can relate

@TheMockDraftGuy I was in radiology school, and this one instructor hated me immediately. Every case I did with her, she set me up to fail. She told me I'm not feeling it with you and told me I sucked to my face.

This story pretty much sums up the value of college these days. First, you're paying for a food appreciation class so you can get a degree! Really! Then you get treated inconsistently by a professor. Then the pompous professor who thinks their PhD makes them the world's most insecure god, tells you that you will never achieve anything.
