Congrats! As a fourth year engineering student in hku I’d recommend u to stay away from the bachelor of engineering science offered by hku...it’s a total scam. And for the global finance & engineering, ud expect to study for 5yrs for a double degree. That’s just my advice...good luck
i didn't do an interview for HKUST, so i was actually really surprised the update turned out to be an offer bc i thought it would be an interview invitation lol. i applied in late December so don't worry if you haven't heard back yet, different programs/courses do take longer to make decisions!
i'll make a stats + ECs video after i've gotten all my decisions! some of them were the ECs i mentioned in my "how i got into YYGS" video tho. i applied for engineering/computer engineering depending on the school. nope luckily!
What are my chances of getting in with test optional policy? I didn’t submit standardised tests because I couldn’t take them and I know that maybe other students had the chances
no one really knows for sure since this is the first year so many colleges went test optional, but i read some statistics (i don't have the sources sorry!) about some top colleges (sorry lol i forgot which ones) that said the ratio of students who applied test optional and those who didn't was almost 50:50.

If you want to study BME, then I think choosing engineering science at HKU is actually pretty good But if you don’t know which engineering field you want to study yet, you should pick Engineering instead of Engineering Science (what I meant was, do not choose Engineering science just because it is harder to get it)
