I miss Borgnine. Wether he's playing a lovable butcher or screaming "give 'em Hell, Pike!" or voicing Mermaid Man, I'll always remember him as great actor.

I've looked a lots of interviews with Ernest and I don't think he has ever talked- or been asked - about "The Vikings", I remember the film coming out and it caused a sensation with the lads at my school. We talked about it for weeks and weeks. Hail Ragner!

One thing I can say having worked with a couple of productions. Pleasant Behavior has gone out the window completely for many years, all they do is fight.
borgnine would have been a perfectly awful choice but only in respect to what you say...Brando. Much as my distaste is for much of Brando, his clowning around in the muck of acting, turning it into a mud wrestle with himself, damn the guy was just flat out perfect in Godfather. But it seems after that he went back to his old circus tricks, strange fellow, a few good performances, always weird, and then that one indelible incarnation.
I agree, Borgnine is great, yes, but Vito Corleone needed to be played by someone with a quiet intensity who could speak volumes with his silences and perceived mumbling. And that’s what Brando brought to the role.

I love the way he uses the word wonderful so often. It sums up his attitude to filming and life and reflects on the man himself.
