    Hi Madhura where do you get the crushed mustard seeds . And its yellow in color too. The ones available in m place are black mustard seeds...

    Hi Madhura....what a fantastic suggestion to roast salt.....this recipe looks delicious. I usually finish eating my pickles in 3-5 days so marinating the pickle for 2 weeks is difficult :-)
    Question: What kind of oil do you use?

      @@madhurasrecipe Thanks Madhura.....can you be more specific on what refined oil you use???? Is it palm, canola, sunflower, corn/soy, olive oil? All of these oils can be and are refined. I'd like to use what you are using in your recipe to capture the same flavor and taste. Let me know your thoughts....

    everyone's mother tongue brings accent to a foreign language. thats nothing to b ashamed of or being horrible. if the Latinos or Italians speak English with their heavy accent, n they don't seem horrible, then we Indians will never seem so as our country speaks many languages n also we r great with our English speaking prowess n our cooking skills. Madhura is very talented n speaks perfect English. stop being abusive of her accent n learn the recipes she teaches.

      1 Raw Mango / Kairi1/2 cup Oil3 tbsp Degi Mirch powder1 1/2 tbsp Roasted salt1/4" Cinnamon stick1 tbsp crushed mustard seeds1 Clove3 Black Peppercorns8 to 10 Methi seeds / Fenugreek seeds1/8 tsp Hing1/4 tsp Turmeric powder

      Yes it tastes better with vinegar (more khatta) and also lasts longer. Also, use sterilized (heat glass bottle and place on wood) for storing pickle and do not leave any metal spoon dipped in the pickle.
