Z Burst Dash nerf alone was a bad move. Other things should’ve been fixed and nerfed as well in order to balance the game. Hmm, I wouldn’t say that it’s cooked because they’re gonna be supporting this game for some time so we’ll be seeing some balance changes. I just think that we, as a community, need to voice our valid complaints. They’re totally listening but standing as a community is difficult since it’s so divided. Some would say that this is the optimal way of playing and while it definitely isn’t the most engaging play style, it gets people wins which is why they play like this. Man I think I fought this same guy or someone similar. Couldn’t throw hands couldn’t defend, couldn’t get to him. And they have a way of still getting 4 characters to fill the roster. You can’t stop UI goku, androids 17,18, 19, and 20. With 19, 20, and cell it’s all health regeneration.
MUI AUTO DODGE when he turns around when you are behind them needs to be nerfed asap. I got a clip where I was behind an mui and as I threw a punch his damn auto dodge kicked and literally FLIPPED him around to sonic sway me. I put the controller down after that shit.

It definitely shouldn’t cost as much as it does but there are archetypes in the game already for this. There’s Heavies, Ki types, and speed types. Heavies cost more to dash around usually only 2 dashes per ki bar, whereas most characters have around 4, speed archetypes such as Dyspo Burter Kakunsa etc have like 8+ dashes per ki bar. I think it should all be doubled across the board, so characters like Reccoome and Nappa have 4 dashes, most characters have around 8+ and speed types have 16+. Because tanky low DP characters need to have weaknesses and limits.
For the air ki blast or whatever its called that ui goku throws, you can block it by throwing regular charged ki blasts. What i do is i progressively approach the ui goku spammer while throwing charged ki blast when he throws his shit, or you can simply dodge them while approaching and let him burn his ki. It takes alot of patience to counter these cheesers i admit that
You can’t do that if they fully charge it. At the Z Rank level they master that and the only way is to time the dodge because it is unblockable when fully charged

@ Yep once you fight against top zoners they will regular Ki to lock you in and fully charge it. The likes of OneTrueMorty and Quyon. Very scummy Z Ranks Blocked them.

Nah FR, I joined a lobby with an S rank Zamasu farming wins off a C Rank. Idk if it was his friend or what, but as soon as he fought me, he would Zone and abuse unblockable ki blasts, and if I got close he’d fly away, charge and use a rush super. When I was the king of the hill and it was his turn, I went to World Tournament, and surprise surprise, he couldnt actually fight at all. Its a player match, idk why folks have to cheese just for a W that doesnt mean anything.
You should really use the full power low sweep from behind. It’ll let you charge your ki up so you’re never at a disadvantage. I’m Z rank and I never use my ki blasts, or Z burst dash. My entire playstyle is centered around having max ki or just more ki than my opponent at all times. Once you master that, you’ll rarely lose. Especially if you get every other aspect of the game.

There's a secret to beating zoners u have to learn how to turtle them u need to master 2 techniques rush clash and vanishing rushes also master perception also a wild sense character will slow these type players Im a Ui sign player but most Ui users make me sick
Dragon dash deflects ki blasts and dragon dash ascending up or down helps cause those charged unblockable ki blasts to miss also. Takes time to get used to, and you might still get hit but you’ll get hit a lot less. Edit you don’t need to hold long it can just be quick ascend/desend
I’ve fought so many people who move goofy like that A4. Usually it’s Broly or Kale with the ki blasts zoning you out until your health is low then using the unblockable
Its so funny man for people to finally realize that the patch wasnt all that. I platinumed the game so i obviously loved it no hate here. The z burst dash nerf makes no sense nobody asked for that at all that's honestly whats causing a lot of issues . It makes less engagments and if boul knocks you away now you need to be able to charge to get back to him depending on your ki. The other thing is dp battle is a lot worse due to the switch regen nerf an the new win condition. Basically regen characters are meta and just having them bleed your team an win on time out. Yajirobe is even more meta with this patch.
When dealing with charged Ki Blasts you have to stands still to deflect them. You can’t be moving. Dragon Dash would also deflect them unless it’s the unblockables Also if they spam too much you can revenge counter. He usually catches the lower rank off guards The Gero Ki spam was honestly easy to deal with.
The best solution I found to defend against zoning is dragon dashing but even that is mad punishable because of how predictable it is, the worst part is that even that can be counter by mui goku charged ki blast and sword slash ki blast so there’s really almost no counter play, not to mention the both of those ki blasts have INSANE tracking meaning that they could still catch even if you dash away.
@ if it cost 1.5 ki I wouldn’t mind that because you could still close the gap frequently. They really need to reduce the cost or add other movement mechanics that makes you harder to hit by ki blasts
To be completely and utterly honest, I agree with your arguments, but you really should be using more than Teen ssj2 Gohan in DP battle lol. I’m A3 and prefer to box, having to deal with these players always finding and abusing the exploits and cheese as much as possible is just stupid, the old patch had a lot of problems but at least Z-Burst Dash costed 1 ki bar and revenge counter had a use.
Unfortunately if you get stuck in this it’s hard to get out of it. And the new vanishing assault out of combos is a headache. You got stay in close, master z counter and stalk at all times. If you let them get space it’s over. Most cheesers can’t go hand to hand.

I told folks that patch was ass. Buffing side steps, nerfing tools to get in, making smash attacks easier, essentially buffing wild sense. Honestly the game was better before the patch.

I've noticed this style of playing have become more common this week. Along with the vanish assault bug that makes ur combo drop mid-combo. Personally, i play this game for fun but this playstyle really just sucks the joy and fun out of it, and bandai really is not putting any effort to fix this bs.

Don you know to do high speed dash tech in the stepping zone? I’m slowly figuring auto dodge out to and that tech plus just doing a light charge smash attack can catch people trying to use auto dodge….just gotta get out of the habit of going straight in to punch when we vanish and get behind them
If they want to zone I just use Majin Vegeta lol his buff makes him invincible to ki blast and melee attacks. It’s cheap but y’all play cheap so oh well.
Do it. Just note charged ki blast will do damage and stun but just move out the way. His buff last 15 seconds. You don’t need to final explosion unless you want to

I just got the game for chrismas and I’m already s3 using mui goku ts takes no skill I beat people that are clearly better then me I think that in ranked they should make all characters same health the damage is fine because they technically are stronger characters.

Ki blast revenge counter is bettwr than melee imo, cause it tracks, and gets you through ki blasts so if someone’s mindlessly committing to ki spam you have a way in, but its so niche

@ u can definitely deflect almost any charged ki blast in the game except for trunks and ui i think. U just have to time it. The android was spamming it tho which is annoying i admit but u can atleast deflect to stagger him.
You can only deflect charged kin blasts when standing still and timing it, generally deflecting small ki blasts whilst moving leaves you open to charged ki blasts. And UI and several other characters unblockable ki blasts simply cannot be deflected and are often too fast to even side dash to dodge. It needs to be addressed.
@ u just keep watch of their ki gauge u can tell when they doing a charge ki blast do a burst dash up and then just close in on em obviously u gotta play it tactical too tho and the zoning only works with characters that have a unblockable ki blast like ui goku or any sword user any other character u can reflect by pressing r1 right before its about to hit you

In order to make zoning a thing of the past is to make Bandai update the movement … BT3 neutral dash didn’t consume Ki. BT3 movement is far superior.

My entire playstyle is centered around having max ki or just more ki than my opponent at all times. Once you master that, you’ll rarely lose. Especially if you get every other aspect of the game.

There's a secret to beating zoners u have to learn how to turtle them u need to master 2 techniques rush clash and vanishing rushes also master perception also a wild sense character will slow these type players Im a Ui sign player but most Ui users make me sick
Dragon dash deflects ki blasts and dragon dash ascending up or down helps cause those charged unblockable ki blasts to miss also. Takes time to get used to, and you might still get hit but you’ll get hit a lot less. Edit you don’t need to hold long it can just be quick ascend/desend
the worst part is now the developers know we cant get a refund after wasting hours onna game like 2 hours is not long enough bro
I’ve fought so many people who move goofy like that A4. Usually it’s Broly or Kale with the ki blasts zoning you out until your health is low then using the unblockable
Its so funny man for people to finally realize that the patch wasnt all that. I platinumed the game so i obviously loved it no hate here.
The z burst dash nerf makes no sense nobody asked for that at all that's honestly whats causing a lot of issues . It makes less engagments and if boul knocks you away now you need to be able to charge to get back to him depending on your ki.
The other thing is dp battle is a lot worse due to the switch regen nerf an the new win condition.
Basically regen characters are meta and just having them bleed your team an win on time out. Yajirobe is even more meta with this patch.
When dealing with charged Ki Blasts you have to stands still to deflect them. You can’t be moving.
Dragon Dash would also deflect them unless it’s the unblockables
Also if they spam too much you can revenge counter. He usually catches the lower rank off guards
The Gero Ki spam was honestly easy to deal with.

The best solution I found to defend against zoning is dragon dashing but even that is mad punishable because of how predictable it is, the worst part is that even that can be counter by mui goku charged ki blast and sword slash ki blast so there’s really almost no counter play, not to mention the both of those ki blasts have INSANE tracking meaning that they could still catch even if you dash away.

@ if it cost 1.5 ki I wouldn’t mind that because you could still close the gap frequently. They really need to reduce the cost or add other movement mechanics that makes you harder to hit by ki blasts
To be completely and utterly honest, I agree with your arguments, but you really should be using more than Teen ssj2 Gohan in DP battle lol.
I’m A3 and prefer to box, having to deal with these players always finding and abusing the exploits and cheese as much as possible is just stupid, the old patch had a lot of problems but at least Z-Burst Dash costed 1 ki bar and revenge counter had a use.
Unfortunately if you get stuck in this it’s hard to get out of it. And the new vanishing assault out of combos is a headache. You got stay in close, master z counter and stalk at all times. If you let them get space it’s over. Most cheesers can’t go hand to hand.

I told folks that patch was ass. Buffing side steps, nerfing tools to get in, making smash attacks easier, essentially buffing wild sense. Honestly the game was better before the patch.
i don't know why ui / mui goku has so much dmg, in anime was clear about it. He had more speed and technique than strenght.

I kid you not i was joking with friends of mine when i finally tried out MUI goku and was making jokes about the fact that like half the things i was doing in the match was Goku reacting on his own to things. he is legitimately using MUI because hes like half botted and its funny to me they made him like that.

I've noticed this style of playing have become more common this week. Along with the vanish assault bug that makes ur combo drop mid-combo. Personally, i play this game for fun but this playstyle really just sucks the joy and fun out of it, and bandai really is not putting any effort to fix this bs.

Do it. Just note charged ki blast will do damage and stun but just move out the way. His buff last 15 seconds. You don’t need to final explosion unless you want to

Ngl up close you rlly can't do nothing about that, sometimes even revenge counter don't even work. From afar u can dragon dash ki blast spam. Its like ki stunning from XV2 you sometimes get caught in the deflect animation and is punish by it.
I think they should delay the ki blast input a bit in this game ..thats just my opinion

There are character "stats" in game. Recoome is considered a Tank thus why the extra health bar.

Revenge counter is TRASH. It takes 2 skill points to get instant countered by 1 skill point.

Ki blast revenge counter is bettwr than melee imo, cause it tracks, and gets you through ki blasts so if someone’s mindlessly committing to ki spam you have a way in, but its so niche

REGARDLESS, it doesn't solve the underlying issue that Revenge counter simply isn't worth it. spending 2 skill points for something that miniscule in effect is not good. The Zoning player can just knock you back again anyway and repeat, with even more skill point lead than you.

@ u can definitely deflect almost any charged ki blast in the game except for trunks and ui i think. U just have to time it. The android was spamming it tho which is annoying i admit but u can atleast deflect to stagger him.
You can only deflect charged kin blasts when standing still and timing it, generally deflecting small ki blasts whilst moving leaves you open to charged ki blasts. And UI and several other characters unblockable ki blasts simply cannot be deflected and are often too fast to even side dash to dodge. It needs to be addressed.

@ u just keep watch of their ki gauge u can tell when they doing a charge ki blast do a burst dash up and then just close in on em obviously u gotta play it tactical too tho and the zoning only works with characters that have a unblockable ki blast like ui goku or any sword user any other character u can reflect by pressing r1 right before its about to hit you
@ and if you actually wanna practice u can set up ai to use ki blast to help you counter or get used to that shi

The game never needid the patch people are just litarly usong any thing they can't to cheat or spam at thish game now we got zoners it's honstly not even the devs fault at thish point we love in a world we're we got some salty ass people online that only want that w and they will get it anyway they can even if it means not having fun and doing the most annoying strats I had no issues online intill I got up to rage quitting all they had to do was just fix the online mode not balance shit to make it even harder they just needid to take out the dam timer and rage quit ban and lose points I know we got that now but it made it worse for zoning now me personally tho i was doing fine and got to a point were I stopped caring about rage quitting I got to the point were if they quit that was a win for me cause I know they were trash at the game thish gen of players is just sad and thish is why I refuse to go back online now I perferd the old controls compared to the new machinics for the game the only thing I did like from the patch was the z vanish wars finnaly being speed up that should have been the only change not nerfs no complete overhaul like think of it thish way if you took out the timer how bad would yajorobies bean healing really be if he can't out run a dam clock makes simple sense to me but when I was saying thish back then people thought I was speaking jibrish but yea thish online game is full of toxic players and noting but salty as winners that will do notjng but to play unfair and get a w hope those people are happy cause the people how acculy played good hate this
