I’m absolutely amazed at Meg’s ability to prepare 3 meals a day for 7 hungry folks. The food looks delicious and she makes it look so easy. No small feat!
You are my favorite UA-cam family! As an old lady, it makes me feel better for the future of our world to see that you teach your children manners. I cringe when I see some of the behaviors of children in a couple of other families. You are an amazing bunch of people!
I absolutely LOVE to see the two of you walking side by side to take care of the Moo Juice. Almost as if you were hand in hand, yet you are together of one mind and that is a Joy to see. May you and the door model continue on in blessings from the Lord!
I used to follow lots of homesteaders but due to how many videos there were to watch I had to edit my list. I watch your channel faithfully because I love your family values, how well you all work together and how just how y’all roll in general! I stop and visit the other homesteaders, but when I see you guys, it’s inspirational! Love you all! ♥️👍🙏🇺🇸🤓
I would like to thank you.Your obsession with trees has helped me immensely. We're closing on a few acres soon, and before any houses, coops or barns are built....I'm putting down fruit trees. Your plantings and various other ventures since getting your place has sent me on a completely different path than I was originally heading. Totally renovated my line of thinking, realising what is of true importance when starting out.
Dear Ben, the green house looks great! I hope you can take a moment for your own satisfaction and count. In the last 3 years, how many: garden beds planted, pigs processed, chickens processed, house remodel from the studs up, how many trees planted, a green house built and functional. (I think you did just tack down the sides on the new wall so they won't open) Cows added and include the preggers one. You have held classes, cleared forest, bought a dang new tractor ect ect. You have done so much! That does not include all that Sweet Meg has done including giving birth! I hope you can really just take a moment and really appreciate that.
What a great suggestion. It's so easy to get caught up with all that we want to get done.. it can get overwhelming. Good to look back once in a while and see how far you've come. Well done Hollar family. Live it one day at a time.
Quoting Stumblin along "you are my favorite UA-cam family". I get tears of joy in my eyes every time I see you all praying at dinner time. I wish I could see that in every home, especially with children there. God bless you and grow your numbers.
Just absolutely love your family! My favorite thing is watching the two of you, with your buckets, walking side by side to milk the cow. Something about that image is so precious!
I'm also an old lady! I can't tell you how much your videos bless my days. I know we only get a glimpse into your lives but I'm sure you are genuine in your love for each other and your wanting a good and healthy life for the gorgeous kids. Love from upstate NY and enjoy your weekend.
Greeting, fairly new subscriber here. I have no idea why I started watching you guys but now I’m so hooked on your videos. Been binge watching all the older ones and on the newer ones now. Lol. I am totally never going to be a homesteader, I’m too afraid of critters hahaha. But I will say, you guys are kinda giving me the urge to plant a few tomatoes and peppers. But that’s it. Lol. I also love that you all gather together as a family to eat your meals and pray before also. Blessing to you all.
Love seeing the boys helping and learning❤️ Great father son time and memories😃👍🏼 If we are willing and listening, they too, can teach us parents something. God is Good, so Good❤️🙏🏼❤️
Thank you for the prayers for Alabama. Fortunately we had just winds, lots of rain and some flooding with no tornadoes. We were blessed. Prayers for you guys too. Loved your music today.
I just had to jump into the comments and let you know that we live about 30 miles from The Nursery at Ty Ty, GA. My mother used to make two “pilgrimages” a year to buy plants. 💖. Thanks for the shout out for them. Love your channel and your content. Love and prayers to you all.
Watching the cow getting milked, bought back so much memories from my childhood. Thank you. I love it when the boys are doing their things. Very nice. Smart young man. A lovely family. Take care
We need a full day of Meg in the kitchen. Maybe a Meg monday or something lol. Love all of your content, but her footage reminds me of when I cooked for all my littles. Just so wholesome.
You are the ONLY channel that I just cant miss. I love your content, I love how much you two work together. I love y’all’s jokes and laughter, and I love the length of your videos. Not too short, and not too long. Just perfect!!!
I used to watch quite a few homesteaders faithfully, but now I only watch Ben and Meg and family faithfully. The others when I have a spare moment. I started with Ben and Meg when they were still in California, and they NEVER disappoint! I love seeing how far they have come.
Super cute thumbnail! Good job on that greenhouse too! I’m trying to figure out some plumbing for a new shower. Wish you were here lol. I already had to rewrite the rest of the directions for this old chick to get it done. I’m determined to get it installed by my bday! Ttfn 👋🏻
Hi, Ben and Meg! The greenhouse looks great. Meg, when do you edit? You are so busy with cooking and Buggie to keep you occupied, it must be strategic planning on your part.
Yes I’m in Hardin Co Tennessee. As you were talking about the bad storm, we had a tornado yesterday as the storm came through. No bad destruction thank the Lord 😊
I’m getting a cherry tree, an apple tree, an elderberry and some asparagus from Stark Bros this week! So excited! Two will go in pots as they are dwarfs, one in the ground…oh! A crabapple too…and a nice asparagus bed. I have 4 raised beds with stuff coming up-all in zone 9B…wish me luck!😀😀😀
I don't know about the Carolinas, but in Virginia, the state dept of forestry has trees for sale, bare root too. Something to keep in mind for next time.
Good call on the plastic covering the space for the vent, Brett! It's always nice to have more than one set of eyes and brains on a task. We can all help each other. :) I love the greenhouse! I look forward to seeing how you utilize it over the years.
Your vision for your piece of land when you first saw it is working out so well, thanks to your hard work. Great to listen to others opinion and not just ignore it. 💕💕🌻🌻
Greenhouses can actually get colder than ambient overnight. Water storage inside can help keep the temperature over freezing. There are many other strategies too.
We've been searching this week for chinquapins to replace a couple huge cedars we have to take down near our powerline, and we haven't been able to find any for even close to a reasonable price so thank you for sharing this! Definitely buying some asap!
I love how you both make over your kids like you do. Giving them credit for ideas, thanking them for their help. Even when teaching and maybe being a little stern you both use manors. So many kids don't get that wonderful training and just being able to know their self worth. You are great parents. Ty for sharing your lives.
Weather-wise we are about 24 hrs ahead of you! We are in Mobile County AL. Our temps will be down to freezing tonight, Friday. Thanks for another great video. 😊
I used to live in Ty Ty not even a half mile from Ty Ty nursery! I love that place and have bought many trees from there, even still living in SW Florida!
Yea, the end looks great on the greenhouse! I'm stealing your doorway build for my chicken house doorway😊 And Meg, Carbonara is new to me. My daughter gets Blue Apron recipes and that's where I first heard of it! Yummy🥰❣
Dinner looked delicious and stay safe there, we've had lots of horrible winds here this winter, and not much snow, even though it's snowing now lol, happy weekend 👍😆...
Hello, I hope you're safe over there? I hope this year brings happiness, prosperity, and love all over the world, I would love 💚us to be good friends in honesty and in trust if you don't mind.. Where are you from if I may ask?❤
For Northern climates, there's Gurneys in South Dakota. Many years ago I planted shrubs from bare roots that I found at a local Nursery in Minnesota. They did fantastic. Later I planted bare root trees from Gurneys and they also did well. Where we live now the only trees that thrive are Ponderosa Pine. They are in abundance here, in fact we're thinning them out so they have a better chance of surviving the next Bark Beetle invasion. Deciduous trees require irrigation as the climate is semi arid. We don't have enough water to irrigate.
I’m not sure if you have it in the state your in but Georgia also has an agency call Georgia Forestry that you can order bare root trees that are native to our area.
For more hazelnut especially named improved varieties look at Willis. I have ordered a variety of different things a few times from them and definitely recommend. Good selection of bare root plants and good price.
I understand why you need to visit the chiropractor Ben, bless you, that tool belt sure looks heavy around your waist. Great job with the greenhouse, you must be thrilled to bits to have completed it.
Hangry toddler is not a fun toddler. Lol! Nice to get the greenhouse ends done and it sealed up. Now it will be much easier to go in & out when carrying or a cart, etc with both doors done too. Yea progress! Going to check out the GA tree nursery. I’ve been trying to find bare root filbert trees to plant in fall or late winter/ early spring for 4 to 5 years and every place is always out of stock.
We saw that kiss during the time lapse 😂 Seriously y'all are a good couple for folks to look to. We need strong marriages and folks willing to stick it out for life. Something that's been lost in current society.
I asked my youngest years ago if she wanted to join her father and I .. we were going to lunch. Are you going to hold hands? Yes. We always did. She stayed home. 😂
I appreciate that all Megs cooking supplies are real. They are the things she uses over and over in there every day cooking. No fancy new cookware and such for show. Love this family. Buggy is so sweet I just want to hug her. The boys help dad and I appreciate all the great videos. Thank you!
Meg, You could make pepper jelly with all your different types of peppers. I use to make 7 pepper 🌶️🔥 jelly. You will need to grow a lot of Bell Peppers, as they help to make the base. I love your farm, it's not a show room model, it's a real life use what you can to get by "Awesome Farm". And you have a beautiful family, your wife is "awesome" and you have extreme entertainment with Buggy. Love your show.❤❤❤❤
I’m absolutely amazed at Meg’s ability to prepare 3 meals a day for 7 hungry folks. The food looks delicious and she makes it look so easy. No small feat!
Meg is Wonderwoman. I'm convinced.
Plus so much creativity and variety! Dear Millie, the mascot…and the helpful boys!
I wouldn't want to be her feet at the end of the day. Ouch!
My feet ache just watching.

Ditto! Well said.
I'm turning 60 tomorrow but would love to be adopted by Ben and Meg. LOL! This channel feeds my soul.
I've done the same. I only have so many hours in a day and the edification of my soul matters, and I get that from them.
Everytime I see Buggy's little head go down on the table for prayer, it just makes me smile. She is so cute!
She’s my treat!! Lol
I would like to thank you.Your obsession with trees has helped me immensely. We're closing on a few acres soon, and before any houses, coops or barns are built....I'm putting down fruit trees. So much protein from nuts, those trees are also a very smart idea.
Your cat has definitely added to the joy on your channel! I have to laugh when she’s in pretty much every video

That is all my sister ever plants. That is enough if that is what you use. Go for it!
I love how Bug puts her head down on the table during grace. 😀
I just love how Buggy puts her head down on the table for the prayer at dinner! Such a cutie!
Hello Cathy
Most farmers do chores with a farm dog. You have a farm cat! The greenhouse is looking good!
The family tree orchard is expanding and will eventually provide mega food sources. Way to go Ben. 👏💕👍💕😊💕
Love seeing the boys helping and learning❤️ Great father son time and memories😃👍🏼 If we are willing and listening, they too, can teach us parents something.

Hope we get a seedlings update. 😊
Happy weekend. It has been a wonderful week of progess for you all. What new life and purpose you have given back to this piece of land.
Hi, Ben and Meg! The greenhouse looks great. Meg, when do you edit? You are so busy with cooking and Buggie to keep you occupied, it must be strategic planning on your part.
You are awesome Homesteaders...reminiscent to the old t.v. show "The Waltons". I love the way you all work together and are so multi-talented !
You have made so many fantastic improvements to your homestead. Keep up the good work. Looks great! 🥳

Looks great! I finished my greenhouse today as well and was also cleaning up the mess around it. Congrats to us.
How sweet, did anyone catch Ben & Megs little kiss at 7:40 into the video, love this family❣️🙏
Always feel blessed to watch your little family.

Love watching your journey with your homestead. Can’t wait to see your next project. Would love to make some of your wife’s meals.
Whoo Hoo, we just ordered trees from Ty Ty as well! Thanks for supporting a Georgia business, too!
Have any of you googled Ty Ty reviews? They are bad!
Great progress! Looks wonderful.
We have had a very weird, mild winter even for NC. Have a great week end!
Hello Diane

I plan on putting a couple ibc totes full of water but haven’t gotten them yet.
Always love a new video from you guys
We've been searching this week for chinquapins to replace a couple huge cedars we have to take down near our powerline, and we haven't been able to find any for even close to a reasonable price so thank you for sharing this! Definitely buying some asap!
The arbor club had hazelnut trees in bulk and they give you free trees (plum, red maple)
Ben you have built a greenhouse to be very proud of it looks great, all the hard work has paid off. 🙂
I love how you both make over your kids like you do. Giving them credit for ideas, thanking them for their help. Even when teaching and maybe being a little stern you both use manors. So many kids don't get that wonderful training and just being able to know their self worth. You are great parents. Ty for sharing your lives.
Oh my your chime❤️❤️
Just LOVE y’all so much! Keep planting those tree’s!
Your wind chimes are so peaceful. 😊
Have a great weekend

Hello Patricia
Nice trees! A few years ago we added a lot of Chestnut trees .... Only to find out that I don't care for Chestnuts...not boiled anyway.
Hope you remain safe with the storms!
I understand why you need to visit the chiropractor Ben, bless you, that tool belt sure looks heavy around your waist. Great job with the greenhouse, you must be thrilled to bits to have completed it.
Hello Anne how are you doing,
where are you from?

Hey Ben, great looking poly tunnel! Asian greens grow great in unheated poly tunnels in the winter.
Carbanara pasta is fantastic!
Oh man, Meg's cooking always has me drooling. The greenhouse looks great. I love your boys. Playful and helpful. 😃💞
Hello Janet
I hope that you don't get too bad weather, prayer for all of those who did!
Glad you finished the greenhouse. Looks wonderful.
Hello Greta
The back of the greenhouse is looking great!
I'm guessing many would know Hazel Nut as opposed to Filbert?
I love listening to you guys while I'm milking my cows.
Great video
We saw that kiss during the time lapse 😂
Seriously y'all are a good couple for folks to look to. We need strong marriages and folks willing to stick it out for life. Something that's been lost in current society.
I asked my youngest years ago if she wanted to join her father and I .. we were going to lunch. Are you going to hold hands? Yes. We always did. She stayed home. 😂

Meg, You could make pepper jelly with all your different types of peppers. I use to make 7 pepper 🌶️🔥 jelly. You will need to grow a lot of Bell Peppers, as they help to make the base.
We love watching you guys 😍 Cannot get over how fast the children are growing up! My oldest is 43,and my youngest is 24. I have 2 girls and one boy.
God Bless and happy gardening.
Oh, and I won first place with my pepper jelly 😋. Please let me know when you get more soap made, My allergies are tearing me up.
Awesome job......
Always a good watch.
🙋🏼♀️🕊. Blessings to your trees , may they be bountiful. Yea ! for the filbert trees . Hazelnut butter etc 💕🕊. Love ❤️ that Lillie girl . And your such helpful young men.💕🕊🍀🕊💕🍀🌳🌿🌳🌿🌳🌿 good luck with the greenhouse too 🕊
Trees need more huggers. We planted trees since the day we bought our house.... And more today
I personally don’t think the viewer’s understand how much time it takes to put out a video. The filming alone takes time to plan, then let us not forget the editing!
