Wow, what a fabulous idea. Ive collected so many napkins for some reason. I always wanted to try napkin cards, but I didn't like the idea of a flat card with no dimension. Guess what im doing today? Yep, you got it. Finding out all my napkins and trying this very cool idea. Thanks so much for the inspiration. New subbie here x
Hello Bea, Thank you for showing me how to use the catalog, it is a great idea!!! I love your cards!!! And, glitter is the best to use for any artwork, I love it as well!!
What a lot of wonderful l ideas you've put in this one video. I especially like the idea of using glue on your finger to separate the napkins. You've just saved me ever so much time.
GENIUS using a magazine for your 'drop cloth' behind your work. just 'turn the page' and have a clean background for the next process!! love the 3-d mixed medium process! thanks.
I have been using napkins for a few months now and like you, I love them! I have also run mine through an embossing folder and it gives an amazing effect and really compresses the napkin into the card. I do exactly the same with the second image put it on card, fussy cut and use dimensionals to raise it up! Love it! Love the magazine idea, nothing worse than dried glue on your working surface. New subscriber from the UK here!
Love the dragonfly. So many tips here. Thank you. I had to nod my head when you said you like a little glitter in your life. 3 months into the coronavirus, I agree & this is a great way to add sparkle into what can be a dreary moment.
They are so beautiful. I’ve never tried it but would love to. I’ve seen some beautiful napkins that would make gorgeous cards. Thank you for sharing. Xoxo Denise
Thats the first time I have seen napkin cards. I have always liked 3D cards, love the idea. would have liked to see the end product a little longer. also liked the idea about using a magazine to work on, great idea. cant wait to try some. what sort of glue was your daber you made it look so easy. great video..
What a clever idea and sooo pretty. I’m a napkin hoarder.. just can’t help help myself.. always looking for new ones. I decoupage with napkins and this is going to be just the right dimension my projects need. TFS
I have not used napkins for card making for a long time now, but I remember how they gave a fabric feel to the card. I remember trying things like cheap plastic wrap as a glue and it never worked. I gave up trying not long afterwards. Perhaps I should try again. It is kind of funny but I was wondering why you had a half eaten cookie on the table until you picked it up and used it. Then I realized it was a sponge.
Great video! I've never had so much fun watching a craft video! It was so entertaining and exciting which hack comes next! I was able to learn so much from you and collected so many ideas. And the music is fantastic! Please tell me the title. Thank your for this great video! Greetings from Germany!
New subbie here! Love how your cards turned out! Thank for showing the different ways to create these! You are detail oriented! I now know I need those scissors too!!!
I love getting great suggestions from UA-cam--using a magazine to glue on so that you can flip to a fresh page when the earlier is gluey! Peace + Love + Joy
so beautiful and so simple ... i have had a difficult time finding "nice" napkins, but you've inspired me to try again ..... i watch a lot of art-inspiring vids, and you are one of the best, ty (see, i told you i would be back) and the glitter! YES .... my son just sent me some german glass glitter and i can't wait to try it ....
I also had a hard time finding napkins, then stumbled upon "Teresa Davidson"- she has Loads of amazing napkins for sale- they come from all over the world. You should definitely check it out- you will be amazed
Großartig! Ich dachte immer, Servietten müsse man aufwendig mit Klarsichtfolie bügeln, darum habe ich diese Technik nie verwendet. Jetzt traue ich mich auch dran. Danke!!
I was absolutely riveted to your video. I have never watched this kind of card making before but I am amazed how you did them.
