Hi, thanks for the lovely tutorial. I have a doubt. You have said 7 cm from bottom of the rib. The rib is already around 5 cams, so then do I knit stockinette for just around 2 cm? Or do you mean 7 cams from the end of the rib rows

Nithya Murali Your rib should be 3cms you will then knit in stockinette st for 4 more cms.

Jane Owen all materials are listed at the beginning of the video. If you live outside of the UK I have a conversation chart that’s on my website linked in the description bar.

Hi, would you please be able to tell me how many I would cast on with 4mm needles only, I only have 4mm needles and tried this pattern out but it turned out wrong 😔

Zainab Patel try the 0-3 months hat with 4 mm needles and that should give you the right size for a 3-6 month old here's the link

Bundle In A Basket thank you! Would this work even when using the 4mm for the whole hat and not swapping after the rib?

Hi, I have 4-ply (56.7 g) cotton yarn. I see from the Lable - 20 sts using 4.5mm needle and knitting 26 row gives 10*10 cm. can you help with the pattern to knit this 3-6 month baby hat?
    Thanks.

S K you’ll need about 104sts then rib for 10 rows or how many you want. Stockinette stitch until the whole hat measures 7cm then decrease the first row with k6, k2tog, purl the next row then k5, k2tog on the next row etc...
I hope this helps. It’s only a guide I’ve not used your yarn or tested the pattern so it’s trial and error.

Hi, If I have a 3.25 mm needle and a slightly thinner yarn as compared to what you have in the video, and I still want to follow the pattern for 3-9 months how many more stitches do I need to add to the base row? I am bit concerned that 88 st might be too little for my yarn which seems to be half as thick as yours.

Priyanka Bansal could you tell me the tension of your yarn?

How do i check tension of the yarn? Sorry i am a below absolute beginner

I have 142 stitches on my 3.25 mm needle and they are around 7.25 inches

Priyanka Bansal On the side of the yarn's label there should be a little grid and there's numbers on it. The yarn I use says 22sts by 24 rows make a 10cmx10cm square

Thanks. It says 28 stitches by 40 rows is 10 by 10. Needle 2-3
