- Once again I do a useless job of describing how much I love this band, but I give it a damn good go!
Read all about it in a much more eloquent fashion in Mark's Testwood blog:

And I'll see you all next week for some more Flashback Friday =)

Tim writes a good portion of their music...and i always loved his style. He understood how to rip a breakdown so heavy it could turn your brain into soup and also write some of the brightest most beautiful and fullest chords I've ever heard.
Durran Born Absolutely, Tim just knows! Tim is the man!
Spencer actually wrote this riff!! Pretty dope!
It’s crazy how what you said in the beginning rings so true to me as well. I started playing guitar soon after They’re only chasing safety came out. I listened to that album 1000 times through and learned every song. My chords and song structure and overall band dynamics have so much been inspired by Underoath.
Will always love those guys
Underoath is and has been the best live band for the last 10 years
TheCerdolerdo99 Second!
Define the Great Line still hits me in the feels to this day. Any song off that album just digs into my soul in a way no other albums or songs do.
thanks for the helpful tutorials and it was a blast seeing how much fun you were having playing this song! the enthusiasm is contagious !!
I agree with everything you said about Underoath. They are so so great! Thank you for playing this:D
hell yeah dude!! one of my favorite bands ever i'm so grateful to have them back!! thinking about getting an underoath tat soon
I've been thinking about it for years. Let's pull the trigger!
I may have gotten teary eyed when I saw their comeback show in Florida...on UA-cam. They're wonderful and had such an amazing statement to make when they hit the scene. Thanks for this, Mike.
John Smith Haha, yeah, they're such an influential band and they still hit hard now even after so long.
Underoath literally got me through some shit back in high school. Possibly my favorite band of all time even though I don't listen to them as much as I used to back in the day. They're one of those bands that truly makes me FEEL. If I ever get to see them live I'll probably cry, to be honest (and I'm not one to get emotional). Thank you, Mike, for playing this. You performed it perfectly and I truly appreciate it.
JustGresh Absolutely, there's just an indescribable passion that exudes from everything they've done. They truly know how to convey pure emotion. They hit deep!
This song will forever get me pumped when I hear it
They throw a great fucking show. Man I don't know how you pump this stuff out so fast. You're crazy man!!
Shaun Wright Thanks man. Yeah they're incredible live performers. I've seen them loads of times and they just keep getting better!
Saw them in Dublin earlier this week. They absolutely killed it.
Man I think that’s exactly how we all feel when we hear this song.
Yes excellent band and cover! Their whole catalog is amazing and what got me into metalcore
I'm so glad you did Underoath! Growing up, I listened to tons of Underoath and Emery.
I'm seeing them May the 19th in Finland. Going to be amazing. Sick cover btw.
Oliver Ström Thanks. You're in for a treat, they're better than ever!
You're a great guitarist, man. I love watching through these videos as a 25 y.o. long time post-hardcore fan it's just amazing to see this. Great fucking job. Don't stop what you're doing!
Love the air drumming haha!
Yes yes I finally saw underoath in 2016 and it blew my mind
Jesus, passionate isn't a good enough word for what that guitar playing was, that was fucking phenomenal.
Adan Ma Thanks dude. They hit me right in the feelz!
MMMOOOORRREE!!!!! I NEED MORE!!!!
this is incredible! definitely one of my favorites from you. I don't think I've ever seen anybody request it but if you could do pueblo cicada by lower definition that would be the coolest thing ever. I think it would be a really fun one too.
carl jaysen Thanks dude 😀 I love Lower Definition, they're on the Flashback Friday list, hopefully they'll be chosen soon. (we have a randomiser choose our band each week for the next Flashback!)
love them dude. i been listening since the dallas taylor days before Spencer. But I love spencer and Aaron and i love every single album. I even have an underoath tat :D literally my fav band since age 13 and im 31! and sick cover dude!!
Majestic.
Define the Great Line is a masterpiece. BTW what are you playing over? Is it just the original song?
No words can do Underoath justice but I gave it my best shot. I might have to write a whole essay about them though to cover the rest of their catalogue!
Mark Johnson It's a difficult one isn't it! I've added their entire catalogue to my cover list now 😁
Yes! Writing On The Walls next, pls.
you look like you had a lot of fun with this one! haha
I literally love you bro
Anthony Kelley Kisses x 😘 x
HAHAHAHA, yeah. liking the air drumming and the end.
yes yes yes more my good sir
Jony Gula There will be more Underoath 😀
YEAH!
Underoath is the best the reason i play guitars!!!
Nice job. I was getting nervous waiting for you to accidentally knock over your beer. HaHa!
Man from underoath to polyphia and even Eternity Forever you have great taste in music
Micah Mclemore Thanks man, I love so many different bands and styles and genres, it's hard to pick what bands to do next!
Its crazy that Spencer actually wrote the guitar riff
i just subscribed cuz i thought i was the only on who loved this band lol, i dont even listen to other music :P
Amazing FUCKING AMAZING
Alejandro Batista Thanks 😄
I did a drum cover of this track and gotta say I love your covers dude. We should cover a song together!
Hardcore!

Josh Tsavo Thanks dude ☺
I assume you're ready to start covering Divisi? Easily the album of the year for me. Can't wait for your videos.
Mylo Paradox I've not heard it all yet. The singles they've released were pretty good, didn't really get massively into them though. I'll be getting the album shortly so maybe the thing as a whole will get my juices flowing 😀
Mike where is that accent from exactly? It's great haha
Julian Comeau Well thanks! I'm from Mansfield which is just north of Nottingham. We Brits call this accent 'common as muck' haha!
