Shane was 100 percent RIGHT!! And it took quite a bit of time for Rick to get that through his thick skull. If Shane was still alive in the series, with the way Rick is now, him and Shane would've made the ultimate team of simply 2 best friends who you didn't wanna mess with in is current nightmare of a world.
Yep! It's all fucking Lori's fault! She manipulated both Rick and Shane, and often used Carl for her own benefit.
I agree 100%!!!!! Shane knew what was up. Eventually Rick got there. Shane is and always will be the best!
I loved Shane and it should be great if Shane still was alive..they where partners..But in season 2 Shane went crazy and would kill Rick..Thats sad..
Shane was too far ahead. Shane knew what he would have to become in order to survive from day 1 it took the rest of the group longer to figure it out

Everything Rick believes now (season 8 aside) he learned it from Shane. “If you don’t fight you die” sounds a lot like Shane.
Dale was right, Shane was made for that world. Rick ended up gaining Shane’s leadership skills, and he literally repeated what Shane said before, that you got to fight to live. RIP Shane Walsh, he died too soon imo
Shane had one flaw, he went crazy for Lori and wanted her, he should of left it alone after Rick arrived

Rick definitely felt more and more guilty about killing Shane as the series went on, when he realized that shane was almost always right.

Back in season 2, I couldn't help but love and completely agree with Shane, people were judging me for it and I was always getting into arguments about TWD. Good to know, years later the show confirmed what I thought : Shane was right.
Shane adapted to life in this world quicker than anyone else did and got called crazy for it. But Rick now is doing exactly what Shane was doing back in the first 2 seasons.
Also loved this edit. It showed how much Rick actually learnt and adapted from Shane. It’s perfect
I think Rick learned from Shane where the line is. He knows Shane was right but if you let it get to your head it won't end well.

I loved Shane and he was strong but there were al lot of moments in season 3 tm season 8 Shane never could handle it and Rick did..Shane was strong but Rick is so much smarter..Shane couldnt conrtoll himself

Shane was far from perfect, but arguably his biggest mistake was adjusting to the new world so quickly. Rick was so slow on the uptake in the early seasons, it was frustrating as hell to watch.
