If that happened, there would've been 3 types of scarecrow bosses:
1. Batmobile: Giant Scarecrow.
2. Predator: Hunter Scarecrow with signature gun.
3. Combat: Titan Scarecrow.

Batman Yeah, the only boss that wasn't in the car was the arkham knight one and even that was just a predator encounter.
'SpiderMatty I am really thinking that in the batgirl DLC Barabra is gonna call batman and say "Theres a tank" and Batman is gonna say "I'll send the batmobile" just to make sure we get more batmobile.
I still think Arkham Asylum used scarecrow better. But if there had been more of this sort of stuff in the story, it would have been rather cool

***** If I'm honest, I preferred Asylum's voice actor. I think realistically, no matter what a person goes through, their voice tends to stay the same. Crane isn't the stoic, sarcastic badass that Knight's voice fits to -- he's physically incompetent, a nerd, and his brilliance is in his mental abilities. I think Asylum's voice fit that better.
I really like the voice Crane has in Knight, I just on't think it fits the character.
Anderson Hailey They used the WB Montreals, Arkham Origins character model for black mask. Rather lazy if you ask me and as for killer croc, he has grown and evolved

I would not be surprised if it was considering there was no Scarecrow boss fight despite being the main villain and Rocksteady had to cut it due to the marketing deal WB Games had with Playstation which had exclusive missions in the contract.
So if this guy could barely do it in time for 3 stars, then everyone else is doomed.
thedredmanable to be honest, he's not as good as a driver as he is on combat, he doesn't use the powerslide and crashes way too often

Call me stupid, but I fail to see the "fear" in this. The only thing that startled me in this game was the man-bat screaming in my face while I try to peacefully grapple up a ledge.

That scene where you play as joker in first person, where batman suddenly appears behind you, scared the living shit out of me.

There should be a "What If" Mission were Scarecrow succeeded in spreading the Fear Toxin on Gotham, and Joker pretty much appeared and took over Batman's body to face him and the other villains
That would have been wonderful. I would have loved a "What If" for if Strange's Protocol 10 was successful. I could imagine playing out Strange marching to Wayne Manor and dragging Alfred through the streets of Gotham, making him all the world how Batman failed.

Don't get defensive bro. But there was a ton of tank battles that were boring a and repetitive. It's my opinion, and just because it's not yours does not mean you can say I don't know anything about the game.
Imo this should have been in the main game. Right when you dive into the cloud burst and fix the batmobile, this "nightmare" should have started. It makes sense for it too since Batman was inhaling the cloud burst fumes. I also thought this batmobile boss was quite fun AND we actually get to fight the main villain. It just makes sense from a story standpoint to have this in the main game
Scarecrow’s has a little more personality in these. He makes a few jokes and is a lot more mocking. It’s funny to hear in his deep, foreboding voice.
Would have been cool to have these three battles happen throughout the game like Asylum.
I loved the game and got 100 percent completion and got all achivements, but to be honest, Gamespot was right, this game has too much damn Batmobile.

Yeah the voice is the best part about him. Probably why he speaks even more than the Riddler. This dude literally came to Gotham, gave speeches and orders and went to Jail. Thats the Scarecrow as a main villain for you.
Should've called this game Batmobile: Arkham Car. This DLC looks pretty lazy compared to Asylum's fear segments. The Batmobile doesn't have a changed look to compensate for Batman being under the effect of Fear Toxin, the drones look exactly the same despite the goons in Asylum changing into skeletons.
It just feels like a push for more Batmobile content which the game already has in spades.
Ikr. This game has a great potential but the Batmobile ruined it. It would be fun if the last boss battle would be us fighting Scarecrow just like his battles at the Asylum but this time, three battles in a row while switching to Joker at some point when the screen flashes. Then, when we completed the third battle, we beatdown Scarecrow on the ground but after a couple of strikes, Crane will switch to Joker who laughs when Batman keep punching him then finally, he puts the Joker away forever and conquer his one fear. Finally, at the ending scene, Crane got arrested....blah blah blah......then finally, ending credits.

CheesyGranola Well they did listen community who wanted Batmobile in Batman Arkham games. But anyway this DLC reminds me to Twisted Metal 2-4. Just little different.
The Krage Which basically we spent more time with The Joker instead of Scarecrow. I guess his threats to Batman are nothing than annoying hallucinations of The Joker. They promised there will be no Joker and they lied. This same happend to Black Mask in AO trailer and in game, just little different. So The Joker is main villain in the game, hallucination or not he's main villain... Again.
Scarecrow was shown to be useless in this game. All bark no bite.
Rocksteady really shoved tank battles at us, It's like they forgot it was Batman and thought that his name was Tank man. Smh

@@nine_tails137okay since this was 8 years ago I don't know for sure, but I'm pretty sure I was just referring to this UA-camr's skill. He's known for never taking hits in his videos, and this was one of the hardest challenges in the game for me, so I was just acknowledging his skill.

It seems like Scarecrow is using his old toxin from Arkham Asylum here
His old toxin just made hallucinations with monsters, not exactly “fear” but more of an acid trip.
His new toxin however directly used the inner insecurities and fears of the victim to utterly break them, there’s a militia solder dialogue where he describes that after inhaling just a BIT of the new fear gas he started hearing the voices of people he killed before and it haunted him, genuinely chilling how the guy describes it.
Oh and also it leaves long-term mental trauma, so there’s that.
And at the end of fear , Oblivion
Honestly this game kind of disapointed me....
The lack of boss fights, scarecrow didn't have that big of a role as we thought he would, joker returned even though he is dead, too much focus on the bat mobile, they took away the riddler's revenge thing and replaced it with "AR simulations" (Which in my opinion was the most upsetting), sort DLC's, no free roam as any other character, and too many console exclusives.
Don't get me wrong I still loved Batman Arkham Knight but it just had a couple of problems.
The only thing i disagree with is that joker was probably the best part of the story and game
They rushed this game man. None of the things you mentioned dissappoints me. The most dissappointing thing is the Paul dini story part. He want to make a game about hush and scarecrow but they make a game about arkham knight and scarecrow.
I found 243 Riddler trophies too be a bit of a stretch. the racing repetitive, and deathstroke in another tank fight I just didn't bother with.
personally I very much liked changing riddlers revenge to AR challenges cause you didnt have to hear him whining though the intercom in every mission
I agree, except I liked that Joker was in the game. It shows that Batman really can never get rid of the Joker. And I like the psychology behind it.
6 years already, this game was a gem, the whole series was. If only the finale was an Asylum like scarecrow world that took place all across Gotham. Cloudburst was fine Burt something like this without the Batmobile

Its crazy that we dont get a boss fight against Scarecrow in the main game, and this does not count. It'd be a great chance to do an Asylum styled fight, giant Scarecrow, but a lil different to spice it up.

I bet this was happening when Joker was shooting the villains and destroying Gotham. While he gained control over Bruce, Bruce was trying to gain control over Scarecrow before moving on to Joker.

So... the original game had a dissapointing ending where almost everything that died (Barbara and even the batmobile) was back. It lacked a final boss, an insulting resolution for the guy who's in the FREAKING NAME OF THE GAME, and you can only play as other characters during certain missions.
BUT!
-You can play as one villain that appears for 20 minutes of the game, paying for a 15 minutes DLC
-You can ACTUALLY FIGHT THE MAIN VILLAIN but doing so with the batmobile, that just covers a 55% of the freaking gameplay, in a 15 minutes DLC
-And you can play as the identity of the antagonist, so you can't suspect that's actually him because that would be dissapointing, in a 10 MINUTES DLC

LexioLTG I was so hyped, then I played it and was so disappointed. I also thought they would make the arkham knight the first guy you killed, that's why they created him, so that they wouldn't kill off any main villain. When they showed the first flashback with Jason I knew who it was, didn't want to believe it, but it happened. Only thing I really like was playing as the joker.

CompSciTheatreGuy I'm a bit biased since Deathstroke is my favorite comic book character of all time, but this fight was handled terribly. When I first heard him I was excited to do the militia side missions. I thought that it would be a mano a mano between him and Batman, but NOPE! A tank battle featuring the most annoying enemies in the game (The Cobra Tanks).
Overall boss battles in Arkham Knight were dreadful. The two most capable enemies of taking Batman down hand to hand had terribly designed fights.
I feel like this was supposed to be the final boss, but they didn't want the last boss to be entirely the Batmobile. That would've made it even more underwhelming of an ending.
In arkham asylum crane didn't look that scary but in arkham knight he looks disturbing

Honestly, I can say this one was just OK but Arkham Asylum one's scarecrow's nightmare mission was the best, anyone agrees??
That Scarecrow's only problem was the costume, voice and personality. Otherwise he was the best.
Even if you hate the Batmobile's over usage in this game you have to admit this would have been a cool final boss fight for Scarecrow, At least better then a simple cutscene and his threat is done..

It’s really cool how BAV went at a casual pace through these missions instead of maxing out the speed so everybody without a PlayStation could see what it looks like.
Would be nice to go back and see it again with emphasis on a high score and all the upgrades in play.

@@batmirin35 ruin the game? Dude there was like 4 boss fights in the whole game, and hardly any were good, the only memorable boss fight was riddled, and he was literally a side quest, which could only be unlocked when all the riddle trophies were found, and even his boss fight was easy.
@@batmirin35 after Batman locked joker away, they could have had scarecrow inject Batman one more time and have Batman do this boss fight, then when imaginary scarecrow is defeated, that’s when Batman should have escaped and defeated the real scarecrow

SilverWolf04 So what? We're not allowed to have additional critiques of the game? I knew what I wanted and I didn't feel I got that and a lot of other people didn't too. If you personally liked the game, then great, I'm happy for you. But I feel AK lost a lot of the charm the originals had. I wasn't a huge fan of the batmobile and how it was forced in every situation imaginable. I was disappointed there were no proper boss fights as well.

But there was absolutely no "fight" against scarecrow, whetger is was one of their overused batmobile tank war or not there is nothing in the actual game except this and its an exclusive, it doesn't make sense.

I know this is off topic but there was a scrapped idea for a DLC where you could play as joker and drive the jokermobile around gotham and burn it down
They should have added content like this into the story, I'd have liked to see more of the effects of fear toxin. Missed opportunity.
The boss fights in this game are dreadful. I wanted more boss fights just like with Arkham City and Arkham Origins. Even Arkham Asylum was better than this.
Joshua Russell knights boss fights are better than asylum since at least you actually do something instead of throw batarangs at their faces

Looks like Batman Arkham Knight Boss Battles are designed in hurry.
These missions are cool and all but a boss fight similar to Mr.Freezes from City would’ve been perfect for Scarecrow. Where it’s a predator map that Scarecrow creates and since it’s his world, he can take away vantage points, Batman’s detective vision, and disable maybe some gadgets throughout the fight. Scarecrow himself, through Batman’s eyes, could be this super scary and menacing monster that does heavy damage if you try to take him head-on and can only be damaged through takedowns. But like they could’ve gone HARD on the creepy factor with the map and atmosphere. Make it feel like the player is hiding from Scarecrow, not just hit and runs like Mr.Freeze. To make it more different from Mr.Freeze, have scarecrow create duplicate versions of himself on the map (which we’ve seen him do in this game) and the player has to find and pick them off until you find the real one to damage. Few jump scares would be icing on this hypothetical cake.
I think 90% of the boss battles in this game is involving the Batmobile. Rocksteady said they are trying to minimize the use of the Batmobile but they clearly don't. There's a lot of villains in this game that didn't get a great boss battle. The only battle i like is the Riddler Mech battle. Nice game, too much Batmobile. For me i give it 8.5/10.

The Arkham Knight boss battle is also very dissapointing. It doesn't use the Batmobile but HE'S THE ARKHAM KNIGHT! The title of the game even says Batman : ARKHAM KNIGHT. But they wasted him. His boss battle can at least be like this :
He's standing on a vantage point while pointing his sniper towards Batman and tries to shoot him while Batman fighting his Militia Soldiers. Then Batman use the Batclaw to pull him down and beat him up until he finally uses a Smoke Pellet to return to the vantage point. And Batman keeps doing this until AK finally defeated. Similar to the Titan Joker fight.
This is my opinion so don't hate. I like this game but i think it could be better.
@xd Justxn Wow I forgot I commented this lol. But yeah, when talking about great boss fights it's very rare seeing someone compare it to Arkham Asylum. We're mostly talking about Arkham City's boss fights, which have some of the greatest boss fights in games.
I think Insomniac is the only good place to play a Superhero game now. Right, Spider-Man?

I think they cut these Scarecrow nightmares from the game and made the a Ps4 Exclusive. The whole game I was waiting for this scene and it never happened.

-Joker not really getting the control (meaning that Batman did't actually killed anyone)

-batman not really exposing to fear toxin (we should have seen more than just Barbara's and Bruce's parents deaths)

I wouldn't of minded this being a Side Mission in the main game. Scarecrow places three fear toxin detonators (one on each island in the centre) for bombs placed on the island. And with each one disabled Batman is doused with Fear Toxin causing this hallucination
These scarecrow challenges give a whole new meaning to nightmares.
This DLC was quite fun to play with Batmobile. Got all with 3 stars on 1st try :)

this is first game that has batmobile and last arkham games by rocksteady. i don't think there are too much batmobile in this because remember.it's 'LAST ARKHAM GAMES' so unless WB montreal wanna milk the franchise more we won't get any batmobile more now. and in the long term people would appreciate what rocksteady did by having too much batmobile in the game.

I actually like all of the driving in the game. That and hearing Scarecrow talk.
Even now in 2022 can someone PLEASE tell me why the fuck Rocksteady, after the massive success that was the Nightmare Scarecrow segments in Arkham Asylum, did not bother INCLUDING any in the Arkham Knight despite Scarecrow being the main villain?! And then just shoved it as DLC? For the Batmobile?! Wtf?!

Purushangam Gaming I don't know while the fist meeting of batman and mister freeze is cool I like the Arkham episodes especially red hood , nightwing and Robin mostly because I like seeing the batfamily coupe with out batman . Also I like t that batman is only mentioned in the episodes Even in a matter of family were he should be alive .
I really liked the Catwoman episodes and Nightwing campaign from Arkham City. But I can agree with Cold, Cold heart being the best
Say what you want about the actual missions in this dlc, but john noble killed it as scarecrow.
I only have two problems with this stage. The first being that the road seems slippery so you'll accidentally swerve sometimes. The second is those dumb crows that Scarecrow launches at you and they sometimes blend in with the orange sky which makes it harder to hit them.
Really disappointed that the Nightmare DLC are actually just races. I think Batman Arkham Knight has enough forced Batmobile experiences
This version of AK Scarecrow is awesome. The costume, the powers, the mechanical army. Amazing. I want a male villain like this one in Supergirl.
Think these should have been a Most Wanted Side Mission as opposed to just a VR Mission. Would have had more involvement of Scarecrow in the main meat of the game.
Like have Scarecrow's fear toxin bombs at certain positions and it ends up overloading and blasting Batman.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the Scarecrow missions, but why did all of them have to include the Batmobile? I at least wanted one Batmobile, one combat, and one predator challenge. Not 3 Batmobile challenges.
I find it hilarious that a fan community that complained that the batmoblie wasn't in city or origins are now complaining that the batmoblie is finally being utilised, you know there are three games without it and if you liked them better go play them again
i feel bad for enjoying this scarecrow in the dlc more than in the actual game. he just has a little more life in him here, the prying psychologist he's supposed to be, a twisted sense of humor, not that the main game's scarecrow was completely out of character though.

I was fine without the formulaic boss battles though I agree with too much batmobile. Fighting 62 drones when GCPD was attacked is pretty ridiculous. And I disagree about Scarecrow, loved his role in this game. Having Joker was freaking awesome and I liked the idea of Jason Todd as the AK. Great game, best in series.

What's new game+ ? How's that different
***** When you beat the normal story there is an option on your start screen that says "Start new story+" when you select this you can do the story over again with harder enemy configurations,no counter signs and you take more damage. As a trade of you keep all of your upgrades and gadgets.

Surprising this wasn't a base game actual mission tbf.
Why do people keep whining about the batmobile? From asylum to origins all we have done is run around beating up bad guys while gliding around rooftops. When they try to innovate by introducing the batmobile. I did like the tank sections although I agree that they were overused. But they brought a whole new level of combat and vertically to this game. You can use baseball bats, dual play, environmental takedowns, fear takedowns, new enemy types, eject to insane heights, the grapnel gets you even higher than before. The combat and vertically has never felt better. Stop complaining

With the 1st scarecrow battle esp with the helicopter at 2:42. Do you need to use the 60mm canon or the vulcan gun is enough to shoot down the heli?

Is there an actual story reason for these or are they meant to just be a simulation? I mean do they appear on the game map at certain points or are they all just accessible off the bat (pun intended) from the main menu?
I guess they cold take place during the time when the fear gas from the cloudburst has covered the city.
