You could always get the chairs sandblasted at an auto body shop. Then ask if they have any left over paint that could be powdercoated on the chairs. My brother did that and the chairs are so well built and preserved that they will last through the apocalypse. We live in Michigan and they were done over ten years ago, and still look brand new.
That’s the best, my husband had that done to something we had. So I hope that’s what Drew does he won’t be disappointed. I personally would not have got the rusted chair . But hope everything works out. Merry Christmas! 🎄

I love thrifting video's, even when you don't find a lot or anything at all. Because of my health, I'm housebound and these type of video's make me feel like I'm there too, doing the things I loved to do!
I am not housebound per se but I do not leave my house much and do not ever go shopping. I feel the same way you do about the shopping and antique store videos, I feel like I am getting out. Due to my mental health, I just do not leave my house unless I am going to a doctor's office.
@@lonefox I believe it's called trench art. Men in WWI and I think WWII would make things out of any materials they had when they were stuck for days in the trenches 💜💙💚🙃🧡
I have a pair of side lamps made from artillery shells that came from my grandfather. An intricate design was actually etched into them. They are definitely unique!

Eventually, people figured out what was making them sick and Paris Green lost its popularity. Go figure! I hadn't heard of the Poison Book project. How cool is that! Just because arsenic is bright green doesn't mean it couldn't be lightened to the lichen color of those books. Arsenic is a pigment just like notoriously toxic Cobalt blue was.)
For your bed, I wouldn’t bother looking for an antique unless you can settle for a full-size. Go to Wayfair and get something that LOOKS old. Prices are great and Wayfair customer service is always outstanding.
I thought the same, I wasn't watching just listening but as soon as I heard 1800s and green then glanced up... it would be good to check as they used arsenic to create vibrant green colours which didn't exist before then
I think you totally need that bathtub that baby looks super super old like back from the days of kings and queens and kingdoms😁. And it’s such a beautiful copper. I think it would work so well in your house.
I think the way you do the antiquing videos is very thoughtful You show the stores you show the prices and what they're all about. If I lived in your area I would definitely love you giving me reviews on the stores. Even if you don't buy anything I still like watching your adventures and it gives me inspiration and ideas. You're One of my favorite channels on UA-cam. Some things I have to be in the mood to watch but your videos I would watch anytime they don't take a lot of energy to watch and they actually inspire me and bring me so much joy.
Drew, I love you shopping videos. I enjoy seeing the items on display and the beautiful selections you make. Inspiring! Just one note - the handles on the kitchen utensils are wrought iron, not cast iron. That mirror with the arrows was also wrought iron. Wrought iron is made by heating the iron rods to red hot then hammering them by hand to form various curved, twisted and pointed shapes.
Even if you don't buy many or any things when you go antique and thrift shopping, it is great fun to go with you and see the stores. It is mind-blowing how much is available there. I really like your taste, so the things you point the camera at are always interesting.
I bought 6 rusty chairs with wood seats in Laguna Beach about 25 years ago for 800 or 900 dollars , we still use them in all sorts of places . They have made their way with us across the ocean to England , so glad to have them we never see anything similar here . Hope you have a very Merry Christmas Drew 🎄

Wow! I need that copper 🛀. I ❤️ seeing all the cool antique stores. I remember going to a little tavern on the Chippewa River in Wisconsin that had those same exact wire heart chairs and matching tables. As a young child, I thought they were the 🐝 knees. 😎
Decor question for you drew: So with all the pretty and unique antique pieces you’re getting, how do you add in modern things like a super comfy/homey couch (for practical reasons we all wanna lounge on a giant cozy sofa at night and watch our shows) Vintage is so gorgeous but sometimes isn’t as comfortable/cozy as more modern furniture. Im excited to see how you find the balance. If anyone can do it it’s you! I love you and your style and your personality and your work! 💕💚
I have trouble with this too. But I just watch Drews old livingroom decor videos for inspiration. Since he had his more modern couches. Mixed with old vases and older side tables. It’s so hard to do though.. Drew truly has an eye for these things. His style is beautiful. I see good pieces but I like you, I have trouble making things from different areas look cohesive. And drew just does it so easily and beautifully, it’s crazy 😂
I think watching people Antique shop is so much fun! Its so cool to see so many awesome pieces in the background. Just the store with all those rugs and lamps... I melted away just looking at those wooden mirrors! So cool. Recently I do quite a bit of thrifting for antiques. Today I picked up a Cherrywood Armchair from the 1920´s for only 50 bugs. The colour of the wood is chipping away a little and I likely need to replace the whole upsolstery, but the wooden Frame alone is so extremely pretty. Last Month I Picked up a big Antique Buffet from 1870-1890 in incredible well condition for only 300 Euros! Needed to hoist the thing out of the 4th floor into my dads Van but it was totally worth it lol. All of these old furniture pieces are often times still very stable and only need a little love to look amazing. And the quality is just so much better then a lot of brand new furniture.

You always find something unique and beautiful in those overcrowded shops and flea markets…my favourites were the mixed metal utensils, the sweet nightstand and the little clay pot, with the red in it.
Drew I got to say your taste is unique that is why I think I like watching you....I saw some amazing things on your trips and I would love them and then you showed us other things....that is how it rolls but I still love to watch!
I was so confused about the gigantic cupboard at 3:07 because here i Germany they are often seen in very old people's living rooms an do not look great, veery oldfashioned and the rooms look too squashed with it. We call that style "rusty oak" (Eiche rustikal) 😄 But your videos tought me that you have such a good eye for such furniture pieces to style and set them in a good light :) It surprises me every time how you make any oldfashioned stuff look great.
I swear I sat in chairs like that when a child in the 50's....in old soda shops that were quite cute in their time, that was In NY. I think they made a comeback in the 8'0's, and a great come back again. Great Find for your lovely home. On another note though...I really like your style, so creative, as well as inspiring...yes, even at my age LoL You have the eye for sure, as they would say back then. Thank You for sharing your Gifts and Beautiful Talent. Many Blessings to you, for continued Success~
The brass spatula and spoon are identical to utensils I have. I have a spatula and spoon of brass with copper rivets, like the ones you found, and a slotted spoon and ladel of copper with brass rivets. I bought them from the blacksmith who made them by hand at a Harvest Festival in San Francisco in late 1979. Those festivals happened in all major California cities in the late 70s, generally with the same group of juried craftsmen. I cherish those implements. They're gorgeous.

Love shopping with you wherever you go...it's so fun seeing things that I've not seen before either. That huge Ceiling lamp was AMAZING! Choosing items that are really unique will always work in your spaces and you will always love them. You might end up having to design your own special Lone Fox Designs king-size bed. You might never find something that suits your design esthetic otherwise. Every time I see your new house I get so excited to see the way you will update it without ruining it- it is lucky to have you as the new owner. Might have to add some seats to those patio chairs tho...:-) Happy Birthday, Justin, and best to you both for the holidays and New Year.

I have those brass deer too. Love them. Decades ago my mom had one of those round candelabra. She decorated it with fir boughs and with a cut glass bowl filled with glass ornaments in the center for the holidays.
Love love love that you share your antique shopping experiences 🤍
Drew I really enjoyed you taking us on your shopping trips - you have picked amazing pieces & looking forward to see you incorporate them in your home as you decorate your home

Happy birthday, Justin and happy holidays to you and Drew. I have had such fun watching you two go antiquing this past year, especially from the time you bought your lovely house. I’m a retiree living alone and can’t wait for your posts to poo up in my feed. My very best wishes to you & your family for a wonderful new year. Bless you. 🙏🙏🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🎄🎉🕊🕊🕊🕊

I first started watching you way back when you did crafting vids. I do miss them but am now really enjoying your new house projects and especially your vids on shopping to dress your home. My very best wishes for the holidays and the New Year for you, your family and all those who make your channel so fun to watch! Ho, ho, ho, from Greece. 🎄🎉🕊🇬🇷
You always find something unique and beautiful in those overcrowded shops and flea markets…my favourites were the mixed metal utensils, the sweet nightstand and the little clay pot, with the red in it.
Merry Christmas! Enjoy spending time with your family. BTW Your videos always make my day!! ♥
Big Daddy's Thrift place looked AMAZING! If I lived there I would definitely be checking it out!
Happy Birthday Justin and Happy Holidays to the whole Lone Fox family and crew
I'm enjoying your love for Spanish gothic everything! ❤️
I love those shops you are going into I would spend the whole day looking in them all xx
I so love tagging along with you whilst you are shopping for antiques. That copper tub. Gorgeous!!
I could just see a beautiful out door rusted&black chandelier hanging from that plant hook above where you want to do a little round table!!!
I just wanna spend the day with him and go shopping. Sigh. Such beautiful things.
Happy Birthday Justin !! And Drew, the minute your video came on I said out loud, "He's so dear." Enjoy Christmas and thank you for the fun video !
So fun! Vicariously enjoying the antique shopping!!
I LIVE VICARIOUSLY THROUGH YOUR FLEA MARKET/ antique shopping expeditions, Drew! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
McCenna would LOVE that book set. Ya know how she shops for great looking old books! ❤️❤️
I love your cheerfulness and passion for what you are creating. Merry Christmas 🎄
Love the huge hutch and church window from first place, big daddy thrift, I could go broke with all the stuff there, and same with last one. Love the tiles and ofcourse that tub. Thanks for sharing Drew!
Happy Birthday Justin.❤🎉 Love flea market shopping.🎉Love the two kitchen pieces.Everything you purchased is adorable. This was fun. Until next time🎉❤😊
Just the fact that that antique store has a beegees playing in the background, I’m all about that place! Loved it

Love your finds. This home is going to be incredible. Love your eclectic style . Done right it is the best style. You have to be very careful mix and matching pieces ( or it can become a mess ). You have the talent to do it right. What a great eye.
Id highly suggest looking into coming to Roundtop down in Texas! You would die at how amazing all the antiques and shopping is 😍
Hello Brennan how are you doing,
where are you from?
Thanx to YOU Drew!😊
Love going with you on ur shopping trips!!
Even if you don’t find much, please take us along! Great finds btw!!
Love shopping with you wherever you go...it's so fun seeing things that I've not seen before either. That huge Ceiling lamp was AMAZING! You gotta have a huge space for something like that though, but WOW! Love so many of the pieces you got. 💖
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Justin! 🥳🍰🍧💖
Merry Christmas to everyone, Cas in ON, Canada 🎄 ☃ 💖
Choosing items that are really unique will always work in your spaces and you will always love them. You might end up having to design your own special Lone Fox Designs king-size bed. You might never find something that suits your design esthetic otherwise. Every time I see your new house I get so excited to see the way you will update it without ruining it- it is lucky to have you as the new owner. Might have to add some seats to those patio chairs tho...:-) Happy Birthday, Justin, and best to you both for the holidays and New Year.
Love hearing your excitement when you find fabulous pieces for your home. Happy Holidays 🎄 ☃️ ❄️
Happy Birthday Justin! Love thrift/antique shopping so these videos are so much fun!
Thanks for taking us shopping with you.
That hutch was cute and the mirrors were nice. I think Big Daddy has the same taste as you, looks amazing (Fox Wonderland) that copper bathtub is definitely you, it's moody and so pretty. Add some candles and I think it'll feel like your at a spa
Very nice find Drew, thank you for taking us along. Happy Birthday to Justin. Have s wonderful and bless holidays Drew. 🕊💝🙏🙏🙏🙏🎄🙏🙏🙏💝😘🤗
Happy Birthday Justin! I love when you take us shopping with you! You always find so many interesting things! ❤
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY! JUSTIN! HOPE IT WAS THE BEST EVER!!
Big Daddy Antiques - Stunning! Such a beautiful arrangement; I agree, it looks like a curated home. I've never seen an antique store look so inviting, pretty, organized & clean! I live way too far away (Midwest) so I won't be going there anytime soon; however, if I ever get back to CA, I will most certainly visit.
Enjoy your day!! Merry Christmas to you & yours, Drew (and Justin).
HE IS BORN!! Luke 2:10-14
Drew that "brass table leg" as you called it is a casing to a military shell as in AMMO ! Merry Christmas to you and all the family !!
