  • Many expats who have spent time in other emerging and developed countries may have noticed that some aspects of different healthcare systems were superior to their home country’s healthcare system.
The availability of low-cost and high-quality healthcare is one of many reasons why many people choose to become expats in other countries. If you are a resident of a country in areas such as the Middle East, Asia, or South America, it is crucial to compare the healthcare system of the country you live in with regional peers. You may be able to save 50% or more on your healthcare costs while not having to compromise on quality.

In kutaisi Georga I had 4 old ceramic crowns removed And replaced with higher quality zarconium crowns. All her equipment was the most modern from Germany. The total cost was $500. My dentist in the US said it was top class and in the US it would have been $6000.

South Korea's $25 k for knee replacement don't look cheap to me. The American Hospital in Cyprus quoted me $11000 for a custom made one. That was in 2023.

Great video!! I spent time in Turkey a few years ago & was told by some locals that Istanbul has a strong medical tourism sector. I was wondering if it fell on your radar & if so why it didn't make the top 12? Thanks!

I love Turkey overall, it didn't make this particular list but it's also an interesting option and one of my favorite countries.

I wondered the same, Turkey is one I hear most about and they advertise frequently in travel publications.

Thank you for sharing this list - as many of the leading nations begin to struggle with access and timely care medical tourism will grow across the world. When it comes to getting care abroad stem cell therapy, unproven gene therapy, and full-body imaging option are the lowest on my list. It's too early to say if they have any clinical benefit but we have seen some harm but little benefit so far.
Taiwan is a great mention - incredible quality to be found there. But it's on the consumer to vet the physician, the staff, and the hospital. Published complication rates aren't always reliable in most healthcare systems but having that heart to heart talk with the physician should help you answer how likely you are to have a good outcome based on your individual risk factors.

Whether UAE or Singapore 90 percent of Doctors are Indian. Thats truth..India have most advanced hospital and best in class doctors but our problem is if they step out of the hospitals compounds they are not comfortable with cleanliness..traffic ..like a lot of things thats where UAE Singapore Taiwan etc shines..but we have one of the world's best doctors...

No where in the video do I say Healthcare is free in the UAE, so not sure where this comment is coming from...

He never said it was free in the UAE, nor did he slightly hint that it might be free. Maybe your comment was meant for another video you watched.
