Ghul is right about Mayhem having an eclectic fanbase. My friend who got me into them is now a Professor at Oxford

Thank you for interviewing Teloch cos finally i can hear his voice. Teloch is such a nice guy , he's never ignore his fan's every time his fan tagg , comment at his ig. I follow Mayhem because of Teloch , fan of him since his at Gorgoroth & God Seed with his best friend King Ov Hell

This line-up of Mayhem is my personal outright favorite, these guys are seriously restoring Mayhem's glory. Daemon is so dark, satanic, so much high evil energy get whenever i listen to it, i feel like im at the depths of hell 😃😃
This guy is definitely one of the best interviewers I've seen. He knows his shit, he genuinely likes the music, he's respectful and knows how to ask the right questions.

He really is. I particularly liked that he didn’t ask them gossipy questions, and that the fellas had their own mics on their shirts so they didn’t have to keep passing one back and forth
Ghul of Mayhem saying they that people would be surprised to find out that they are actually "pretty ok people". I worked with these guys when they came to the city during the DMDS tour, we had a blast, very profesional on stage, and off stage super cool people, I remember overhearing Hellhammer talking with his drumtech about how much they appreciated the fans, and they did, many took photos with them on the streets and got to meet them backstage, he made drawings and signed all the drumheads for the drums' owner because it was new and bought for that show, dude was a fan. After the show I asked them if they would sign one of the tech specs sheets for the sound dep and they made some very cool drawings for us. Many great memories from that day. Fuck the haters and their nazi BS.

@@Fireglo yeah, more than 20 years ago, then he grew out of it.
@@placeholder6517 racism and homophobia generally isn't something you "grow out" of. Gay rights and equal rights came through young people. Progress came from each new generation. If a young person has a problem with gays and black people it's very rare their views will change at mid-age.

That's amazing how he said they are actually good people and I totally understand/live that too and am glad someone finally said that in the black metal scene. It's very true about using the negative as a force for positive.

It's funny all these interviews with these black metal bands, these guys, Darkthrone, Immortal, Ishahn. They're all so wholesome!
Then there's Gaahl of course lol. But even he seemed to open up with this particular interviewer.
Beside these very open and cool people there are like you said Gaahl or Ash from Nagaroth, who is the Drama Queen of German Black Metal... I like it when Black Metal Musicians dont take themselves to seriously

Gotta love how these bands have the most evil and batshit crazy images and histories, yet every interview I watch they seem like the nicest, most well spoken guys.

These two guys brought some freshness to the band. I like how Mayhem evolved its sounds with the last album where Ghul and Teloch were responsible for the great deal of music. One may say that the sound tends to Marduk/Dissection like swedish essence - I say why not. Love the record all the way through.

I think black metal artists are hypocrites. They act all happy in front of the microphone when some one is interviewing them but when interacting with fans (online) it's just a different situation. Their answering to questions is very limited. It's like, " We want your money, but we really don't like our fans." Well, that is okay. We all know these guys are not going to heaven and will be singing in Christ God's Choir in the afterlife. North America 2023.
Artist who don't give a shit about accumulating fans are the best. Also those who don't give a fuck about Christianity and it shows in the music AND personal life are the real deal.
