This is powerful Sam. From the moment we met a few years ago I have been impressed by your ability to tell your story with vulnerable authenticity, but this is getting deeper and you are a messenger for regaining our humanity. Still love you Sam. Mart x
Hi Mart, this is my first time seeing these comments - it's wonderful to read your reflection and feel the love. I really appreciate you - let's stay in touch. Love Sam xxx
"Gone are the days of being an angry activist" LOVE this. I relate to this so much. Now more than ever we need to have open and empathetic conversations. Only then will we see the difference between genuine hate and honest mistakes.
Hi lepo, this is my first time re-watching the video and reading comments. Thanks so much for your feedback. Please do stay in touch. Sending so much love xx
Sorry I am an old guy so I do not know who this person is but I love her. She touched my heart with her story. I can always use a good reminder to be humble. Thank you.
Knowing our roots, paying respect to our elders and being guided by our spirit. We all need some of that right now. Your talk couldn't be anymore timely.
Feeling so much love and sharing it with you Kogor. It's my first time reading comments here, thank you for taking the time - do stay in touch. LOve xxx
Brilliant Sam! You are opening hearts and minds, you are an example of vulnerability being strength and showing the door to reassessing what you think you know, so that we can all look at ourselves in a fresh way. Well done. Big love for raising the vibration.
Hi dear Talitha, this is my first time reading the comments here! I really value your reflection and friendship!! Thanks for taking the time... Here's to seeing eachother again soon - maybe by some trees again!? Sending love xxxx
wow. she went through quite the ride to get where she is. talk about soul searching - she is doing so many people proud. i hope she's the one that gets to throw the huge party once every one has finally united
Thank u so much for ur honesty Samantha. The truths u speak throughout this talk are ones that will help ppl gain some perspective. U r a really good soul.
Although off topic - one of the best outfits I've ever seen. You seem like a really humble person, it was really refreshing to hear your story, the mistakes you've made and reiterated just how important it is for us all to educate ourselves. Thank you Samantha.
absolutely brilliant. had this sent to me by a friend. we are doing our best to educate ourselves and figure out how to help and move forward. this talk couldn't be anymore timely. thank you Sam
I can't even begin to imagine what it would have been like for you during your burnout - having those realizations would have been so harrowing. You're an amazing speaker Samantha, I believe your story could really help a lot of people who are out of touch and unaware gain a different perspective. You're a beautiful soul, thank you!
I've been reading a book called "Decolonizing Solidarity" and although written by a white woman, has given me so much more understanding and perspective. This talk however, has blown my mind a little, for all the good reasons. Samantha, you are a hero. Your passion and drive has reminded me of why I'm checking my privilege and trying to do better.
There are a lot of hard to swallow pills going around at the moment... The fact that we can all do it together while educating ourselves should make it easier though. If we can decolonize, we can actually move forward towards a more balanced society. Thank you Samantha, I've been inspired to educate myself more.
All people have the right to nationality and to realize their independence as a nation. Peace and Love from Magreb Al Aqsa Morocco 🇲🇦. Nationality and unity in uplifting fallen humanity
I don't know exactly how qualified Sam is to educate anyone on decolonization of the mind. The whole "don't go to burning man. Go to Africa" really didn't sit right with me. Going to Asia and Africa for soul searching and to "find themselves" is in my opinion the epitome of 20-something year old white hippies unreflected post-colonial behavior. Africa isn't exactly comparable to a festival and not a prop for your spiritual/social justice awakening. I do think she seems like a lovely person tho and she is certainly eloquent and very charismatic. As she said herself she hasn't studied this topic and maybe it could actually help to read up on some theory. Right now it seems to me that she is unintentionally conveying a message that is the opposite of decolonized thought
Thanks for sharing your experience. I just wonder when you mention Yoga or Ayahuasca is from the Western Point of view and understanding of it or from OUR understanding and experience...as you said Native people are all around the world.
I'm not sure I get it. I mean, a lot of the advice in this is just generic good advice. "Get exercise, build a community, don't worry so much about money or fame. Be generous. Travel and experience different cultures." I grew up white and American and I don't feel like any of that is missing from my culture. I'm sorry she felt like she hit a "glass ceiling" but breaking in to business is hard for anyone if you aren't already rich or famous. Most new businesses fail. I've lived in a foreign country long enough to experience being treated differently (both as an oddity to discover and with resentment and with genuineness). I don't think that is unique to England. So... what was I supposed to learn about decolonization that I missed?
I am sorry says really nothing much about decolonization. Decolonization I'm afraid is hard talk of you still have a whole audience cheering you are not talking about decolonization. It has very deep roots and should not be taken lightly. The San ppl cannot tell you about colonisation really its the deep rural in Zim that has the real stories. I suggest to get tips from the guy who die the African Apocalypse. Decolonization takes you facing the real stories about what happened and them heal together. You tried I guess
When your a hugely successful, international, promoter , within UK and beyond...but call a reversal of fortune " oppression" ??? Lol. Welcome to the blame game. What this lady experienced is called life, not " oppression" .
u obviously didn't watch the video. she fronts her flaws right from the start and how she needed to do better. it's a lesson to all of us. especially u by the sounds of it

Spectacular use of buzzwords and euphemisms which are certain to mislead just the people you intend to mislead.
