- The Amazing Digital Circus is a computer-animated web series created by Gooseworx and produced by Glitch Productions. The series premiered on the GLITCH UA-cam channel on October 13, 2023. Today I wish to discuss and theorize who the villian could be. Jax? kinger? Pomni? Caine? BUBBLE?? gangle? ragatha? Let's find out!

Edit: i swear to god if i get another comment about how wrong i am because of the second episode I am going to hurt somebody. Read the replies. I didn’t watch the second episode, I don’t have any interest in it anymore. It’s hard to believe how dumb some of you are.

@@Changingfatemusic It's hard to tell with only the first episode, but it doesn't really need a villain since the greatest adversity is finding a way out of the digital plane.
I feel like Caine is evil and he knows how to escape and he is just hiding it for his own personal reasons

Or even worse, abstracting makes you completely insane in the body of this monster but with your consciousness still inside, unable to control it, and attack your only friends
That would explain why kaufmo attacked evrything even the gloink queen and I wouldn't blame him all those years of madness being let out is like keeping a bottle of anger and then letting it all out on somone rather than urself and u end up hurting both urself emotionally/mentally and the person or ppl araund u physically WICH IS AWFULL UNLESHYING UR ANGER ON SOMOME ELSE LIKE POOR RAGATHA WHO DIDINT DESERVE IT

I think that Caine doesn't actually know what really an abstraction is, since he can't control nor see anyone's mind, he can't know if the abstracted character is this the person or if it's something else entirely

@@Mr._Dooter Maybe he does and The Cellar is his only scapegoat until he can figure out how to either cure it or figure out what causes Abstraction in the first case so nobody else gets affected.

I have a possible theory.
Okay hear me out, so what if Caine does know how to escape, which is abstracting, but he hides the abstracted because he wants the rest of the digital circus to escape? If they find out the only way to escape is to go crazy, the physically can’t go crazy. They’ll know that they can get out, but if they know, they can’t go crazy. I hope that makes sense.
He doesn't seem smart enough for that IMO. It seems more likely that he puts them in the basement because he considers them dangerous to the others because he doesn't really know what abstraction truly is
Although if that were the case, he probably wouldn't make daily adventures for the characters, because that helps keep their insanity at bay. I do like this theory though.
There is no escape.
No one can cross from the real world into the digital realm.
The headset digitizes the consciousness of a real person (that just removes the headset afterwards) into the Digital Circus, and that digitized consciousness is unable to leave because it has no real body to do so.
Think about The Circus as the beta version of Black Mirror's St Junipero.
When the character realizes this, he can corrupt his own data, and that is what causes abstraction.
I like your theory but my theory is that the void is how to escape now hear me out cane showed her the void for a short while and then left, when pomni went into the ‘exit door’ it let to the void and cane ‘saved’ her. But if you think about it cane said I don’t like people seeing my unfinished work. He said he made it for pomni. BUT cosmo saw an exit door most likely the same one pomni saw and because we know the exit door appears and disappears cosmo saw the door at some point. Cane didn’t make the door for pomni if cosmo saw it. Cane said that to hide the fact that if you go through the exit door and find your way to the void you can escape.
My second theory is when pomni went through the exit door she saw a headset, most likely the same one she put on to get there. So if you put on that headset then you could escape. But this way is less likely because I don’t have that much to go off from other that when she stared at the headset.
Theory 3
Cane makes people stay there to have fun with him but when you start to find the exit door a lot and lose your mind you only get abstracted because of cane, he knows that your at the breaking point so he lets you go. Again I don’t have much to go off of.
Theory 4
Cane is an NPC of a game that was cansaled so he traps people there because no one can play it so the few people who stumble apawn a headset can have fun with him. Then again I’m only going off of some others theory’s to.

You're right but Cane had said that he hadn't completed the exit yet and I think that if he had completed it. He would have made the exit through the void and out into the real world and maybe he would have even tell the others about it when he had finished it
The way to escape was in the secret room, remember the computer? There was a headset next to it. Maybe if they wear it, like in the real world, they could transport back into the real world.

I think Caine just doesn’t know how human mentality works (he even said that one thing he can’t control) because he’s a Ai. He tried making a exit because he new everyone wanted one but doesn’t know what that is. His goal is to keep them sane, anyway possible, also hides the extractions because they go out they’re way to harm the others and glitch them. Tho he does have enjoyment he doesn’t always knows what’s happening, he just sends them off and does his own thing, he has eyes everywhere but in the pilot he only figured out Pomni was in the void because of his watch. I think this is a very interesting theory and could definitely cause interesting things to go on, but I honestly don’t think Caine is holding that information because he wants them to stay, he’s just doing what he’s made for
Another thing supports this theory is the reason why caine is adding these fun eventful activities to keep the characters sane, preventing themselves from abstraction
My theory: When people enter the void, they go far enough, they leave the amazing digital circus because at the end, we see it panning out more and more and more until we see the real world. The reason Caine “saved her” was so she didn’t leave because he wants to have fun. BUT THATS JUST A THEORY, A FILM THEORY

If I remember correctly, Abstraction is the game failing to process that level of insanity, thus, causing the model's render for the player to import incorrectly.
And in terms of the conscious itself, the code that also processes the player could short circuit, which results in the ravaged state.
It could be that old computer in that room in episode one that Pomni looks at, because it could be so old Caine made it on that so maybe they can turn on the computer and add a real exit door, because Caine can’t just make the NPC’s with his brain.

You forget that you get a first person pov from kaufmo as he spots pomni behind that corner. Meaning his consciousness is still inside that abstracted body. So it’s not an escape. It’s a prison. Just an embodiment of total rage and insanity built up overtime from trying to reach an obtainable goal as Caine put it.
just cause we got a pov doesn't really mean there was consciousness

What if the void is the exit? The void is the exit out of the monitor, when you go far
Caine literally says he is working on an exit (but it is glitchy and leads to the void currently, hence Pomni’s journey in the first episode). Caine also says he tries to keep them entertained in the meantime because he doesn’t want actual humans breaking mentally because they’d be useless when they go back to reality. I personally believe Caine is haunted by how many characters have abstracted and he wasn’t able to save (which seems to be a lot since the pile of abstracted characters seems pretty large. He puts on a smiley face and cheery attitude to distract them from their colorful but nightmarish current existence. I don’t think Caine is evil. I think he’s doing his best with the insane circumstances he has been given.
My personal theory is this:
The facility hosting the Circus was originally meant to be a place where people worked, but would never tire. The office building in the 'exit' door is the original world made for people to be in, but people instantly went insane in that environment, so Caine made the world more 'fun' so they could last longer.
Whether the activities in the Circus are related to actual work being done in the background is unknown.
Even worse, there's no way to leave, because there's no where to go.
The person's body isn't there anymore, whether this is because it's like TRON, or because someone is taking the body (possibly to upload another person's mind into it) is unknown.
The remaining questions are:
-Who is Caine? They say Kinger was the first upload, but if that's true was he running the place before Caine showed up?
-Who is Caine's employer?
-Does Caine have any contact with the real world? Someone has to keep the machines powered on.
Caine is confirmed not to be evil and just an AI ;-;

I think that if you go in the void it will lead to the exit, because Pom I was in that exit door and it led her to the void!
There's a theory that says when a character removes the VR in real life they abstract, since no one would be controlling the character in the Digital Circus
Interesting. I also think it means the user forgot to log out, and putting the abstracted avatar in the cellar is an automatic log out.
My theory is too understand the code and you can glitch the amazing digital circus and escape

(If he realy is evil he dosent think of himself that way or probably thinks that what he's doing isint evil but what if he's just Ai that dosent know any beter? Ai has limits and btw when it becomes self conscious things go south real fast)

I think there’s a “reverse” button of some sort if the whole digital world has a function for every program or line of code
I actually thought of this days ago, mostly because they act like a wild dog and caine cannot put them back to normal.
Caine may have accidentally killed a human, which would be a way to escape. he was traumatized by the possibility of forgetting who was human or an npc and accidentally thanos snapped a person
and it would be giving credence to his name
pretty sure gooseworx confirmed kaufmo is straight up dead, which probably means abstraction is actually dying and not escaping

I think the void might be the exit because when pomni got out into the void from the exit caine stopped her from going farther away and it zooms out of a laptop and the void is the closest to where it zoom out from.
What if you run through the doors like pomni did, find the computer and VR headset, and put it back on. Once you do this, there's a possibility you could A: Break the simulation and Cain. Or B:You could just take it off and leave.
Wasn't it confirmed that Caine isn't evil? Purposefully hiding the exit sounds pretty "evil" to me... it could be that Caine doesn't know that abstraction is an exit and just hides the abstracted characters because their dangerous.
I really think that the creator of the digiral cirus should actually make this the official way to escape to actually make an escape -for some of the characters, this is an amazing theory and i hope its true

It would make sense if cane put the creatures in there so the creatures couldn’t make others abstracted. What if Kaufmo just wanted to help the others escape by abstracting them as well?

He does everything to give the characters as human of a life that an ai could possibly make, and everyone thinks he's evil. Might be true tho, but most likely he's just trying his best to help them.

I think if you go into the void far enough then you can get back into your body and pop out the computer
MY theory Is that these people's irl bodies are still outside the game but their whole consciousness is trapped in the game rather because of some device attached to them. Kind of like a matrix ordeal. As long as their body is still alive and stuck to the device their consciousness is still fed into the game. And when they go too crazy, they die irl or them dying irl makes them go crazy. Once their body dies their consciousness is no long fed to the digital world. Meanwhile their digital body is still alive but their consciousness is gone so what happens is they turn into these glitchy mindless monsters. That or their body has been disconnected from the device and so their consciousness is no longer fed to the game and they finally are back in the real world.

In the pilot didn’t Caine say something* about the void on how he doesn’t know what’s in there
And at the end of the pilot, the camera comes out of the circus threw the void and out of the game

the only thing I would have to say is that if this was a sort of ‘game over’, then I feel like they wouldn’t have shown us through Kaufmo’s eyes. IE, if he can still see in the game, it’s likely he’s still stuck there.
My theory is that the only way out is through the void. Caine references how they’ll get ‘spoiled’ which I think might be a joke on the creators part to where it’s ’spoiling’ us that this is the exit. After all, when the last part of the show went out through the scene, we see the void, more void, and then the outside world.
I think it’s likely that there are different stages to venturing out into the void though, to where you have the first stage, or where Pomni was, just passing through the void. The second stage, or where Caine took her which is just emptiness. And then the third stage, which eventually brings them to the real world. You can also see her ping on the ‘wacky watch’ on a location, inferring that he still has parts of that void mapped out, but further out would mean escape. Additionally, it’s clear he doesn’t want them there.
I think it could then also be inferred though that the void, or staying in it as long as you would need to exit, would lead to insanity either way due to the way Pomni was when she was inside the void. I think that means it would either lead to the way Kinger is now (just insane but not abstracted) or lead to actual abstraction. So while I think there could be an actual exit, there’s no way for them to actually use that exit, which I think would be more dark and twisted in the long run.
I’m pretty sure the void has something to do with escaping, though than again I might be completely wrong
The way to escape could be trying to take off the headset in the void

Thank you so much! I do believe Caine is incapable of abstraction but it would be fascinating if he secretly could be driven to some artificial madness and abstract himself, letting all the residents go free

I know how to escape. The digital circus seems to be a video game. If it's a video game, then maybe you can get the video game to CRASH. How do you do that? Remember that flower pot going underneath the floor and making a lot of collision sounds? What if we got a lot of pieces of furniture doing that at the exact same spot. If a lot of furniture were in the same spot causing a lot of collisions, it would be intense for the game to handle, and the game would crash.
Caine hides the abstractions to keep everyone safe as they seem to be violent.
Also caine just puts them in a different dimension.
It would be an interesting concept, but I doubt it would be this.
Though I could be wrong since it's only on its 2nd episode right now

So the C and A label might be the company where pomni worked at before getting in the amazing digital circus. Caine could be one of the CEOs of C and A and the other person that has something to do with the A in C and A and from the bible story caine and able the second CEO is able who was named after caine and able which is a story of greed and jealousy so this could be the case they are both brothers and Caine was the first brother to founded C and A Able was also one of the CEOs but he was jealous because his brother was the one who founded that company so he found a way to create a game to suck in caine in the game and he was THE FIRST ONE to get in the amazing digital circus and he has full control on him for him to be bad good evil but caine still has a little bit of control over him. Remember the computer that pomni sees and goes crazy while looking at it? Yeah thats the same computer that Able controls the characters from and pomni was one of the testers to test if the vr headset is ok for people to use in the VR headset she sees the amazing digital circus and gets sucked in
I think it's possible. Abstraction as a computer term means to take parts away from the code. So if a character escaped, the big part of their code would be gone (the player) and they'd abstract

I mean, Caine didn’t try to keep anyone from telling anyone about abstraction, and didn’t seem horrified as if a secret had gotten out when they mentioned dude had abstracted. Rather he expresses disappointment that he hadn’t been told about the abstraction sooner, as if this was a regular occurrence. I don’t think “abstraction under the rug”the theory holds water. Still, worth mentally testing. You’re not dumb.
