My guess is Jax is forced to work at the fast food restaurant and deal with customers like Orbsman instead of going on the haunted house adventure with the other circus members, probably as punishment for letting the fudge monster in the Candy Canyon Kingdom in the previous episode.

I don't see how anyone else could abstract if theres only going to be 9 eps. So far, each episode comes the next day after the previous episode, so Multiple characters abstracting within the space of just over a week is very unlikely, especially when jax says in ep 1 that they've all been there for years, and if people tend to abstract so much that 2 abtractions can happen in 9 days, there would surely be no-one left in the circus. The only reasons I think this might be wrong is: - The episodes mightn't always be set the next day - Kaufmo abstracting or Pomni joining may have somehow changed things

i feel like theres a difference between AIs and NPCs. Not much of a difference, but if you think about it, the NPCs are *designed* to have feelings and interact with the players and enhance the digital circus experience, whereas caine is kinda just there to make the adventures and stop them from leaving
my theory is that Episode's 7, 8, and 9, will be OC episodes. maybe 3 lucky OC's will have their own episodes. maybe Yipp will be in episode 7, Matriz will be in episode 8, and myself (Randy Brewer) will be in episode 9. and there might be season 2 of TADC
