- The #reMarkable2 hardware has a solid and pleasant feel. The software just seems to work as advertised. However, almost every feature of this product relies on a connection to reMarkable's cloud -- the future of which is uncertain, as with any smaller tech company. #remarkabletablet

Thanks for the review. I'm thinking of getting the reMarkable 2.
FYI, in the setup section where it asks if you're LEFT or RIGHT handed. This puts the tool bar on the opposite side of the hand your write with.
I totally agree with you on them making it open-source. It would suck to own this and they go out of business. I really want it but debating between this device, Supernote and the Boox Note Air. I love the design and style of the Remarkable2 and the pen looks like it’s really smooth writing. Great review!!!!
Just as a thought, when the device cannot transfer files via usb or cloud support, and in the case RM goes bankrupt, the resell value of the RM2 is non to nothing. That is very disappointing seeing the price of the unit + subscription model (where connect lite doesn't even make sense ) - for a tablet with limited functionality. Look at the Onyx Boox Note Air 2 for comparison, it just throws RM2 out of the window based on functionality.
I agree, the BOOX Note Air2 is like a reMarkable 2 on steroids!!!
(Edit: plus it fits my workflow better)
You might have dysgraphia! Great review by the way!
It seems there aren't any good reMarkable reviews out there...? What about reading the manual before spreading false information? "almost every feature of this product relies on a connection to reMarkable's cloud" - ?? You can access files locally over Wifi using their Win/Mac/Mobile Apps or through a built-in webserver. To me handwriting recog, screen share and cloud is optional stuff and not required to use the tablet for what is was designed for - replacing my paper notepad.

Thank you for your honest review. This product is not worth of anything.
The total cost in Australian dollar is near $1,000AUD. Where we can get a iPad within $900AUD range.
The product is complete failure, doesn’t matter how good the technology is. The over priced device and pen, unnecessary subscription costs and poor pen replacement policy made me hate this product.
Not sure what the reMarkable thinking, it seems the they decided to start sucking on customer’s tits before they got even ready.
wiffy? come on bro...
