She starts out the solo just like the classic one.. for like 10 seconds.. then just kills it in her own way. Try to listen to that solo 3 times in a row and hear the elegance in her version. I won't say it's better, but I will say it was a joy to listen to and that audience got a real treat that night!
It’s better. Boyd was never a technical player he was often out of tune, off key and screeching all over the place. This right here is how violin on this song is supposed to sound
@@dshesser Agreed, Ann Marie is leaps and bounds ahead of Boyd as a violinist. Boyd's entire appeal was the energy that he played with on stage. Ann Marie has plenty of her own energy so it makes it all the more awesome. And I'm sure Dave could get a lot more behind the idea of the fiddle in his right ear actually being in tune.
Love it.Sounded great and DMB is like a fine wine .....It gets better with age, See them every year and im 60 i have been to a lotta shows. There music lifts me to a different place Thank You D,M,B, for the 2022 tour, Woodstock this year was Beautiful
😭🥰😍😍😍🤩 Ann’s solo brought weeping tears of joy to my eyes, I LOVED it SO SO MUCH… maybe TOOOO MUUUUCH!!!! Please, please, PLEASE… let her join the Band permanently! That sound has been missing for FAR too long!
That was incredible. Hasn’t been played with that much energy in a long time and I’m so glad they waited for just the right person to let this happen. Must be a little strange for Dave and Carter especially.
Thanks for capturing this moment! I’ve watch the violin solo 3 times already and chills each time! I knew I missed the violin sound but didn’t realize how much until now!
They need a violinist/fiddler. Please hire her or someone else! This seems like some kind of homecoming right here. Tim/keys/violin, everything back once more. Also, I have to laugh that Rashawn is getting a video of her solo on the breakdown. haha
Boyd should be embarrassed by this performance. She played more notes than he did on 10 songs combined. Ask her to join the band please! As a bonus she probably doesn’t beat her spouse either.
Unpopular opinion but I think this proves that the band doesn’t need a violin player. It didn’t add much in my opinion, and her energy isn’t there for me. She’s clearly a better violin player but I don’t feel the soul/energy as much as Boyd. Boyd used to throw everything at the fiddle, and even though it was out of tune, you felt his passion to that moment - I didn’t feel the passion here.
If nothing else came out of this night; it’s that 90% of fans believe the fiddle needs to return.
I am a big fan of Boyd & yes, I miss the fiddle terribly. Anne Marie rocks!
Anne Marie is a much better violinist. She's doing things with that fiddle Boyd could only dream of. So incredible!!!

Dude that was my same thought too!! I was like whoa this is the solo from Under the Table and Dreaming!! she freakin nails it wow
@@dshesser Agree. Ann Marie is a classically trained violinist who has mastered her instrument.

O my Lord... The Violin belongs in this band.
And this lady does it really really awesome.

O, my exactly my thoughts too.
Please let her join the band.
This is what was missing all the time.
I was there. It was incredible. People were weeping... to have a violin back!! Great video! And I LOVE how Jeff and Rashawn are video-ing!!!
Hello, nice meeting you

I was here and she was superb!!!👍❤️😎🎻
Does anyone else just love how Rashawn was looking out for her during the intro? Getting the sound guy’s attention to turn up her feed
OMG this night was absolutely magical! I cannot stop watching. I can't wait to see him again tonight!!!
Finally, an in tune violin!
5:10 to hear her crush it!!!! 😍
😢 👏🏻
Boyd who?

You ever see Boyd first time with the band? Same thing. He grew into his major role
definitely the unpopular opinion. this band isn't the same without a violin.
Boyd was definitely the better violinist.
Glad I didn’t just hear the audio…. Wow! What a trip
Ps the Campbell voice is bazaar.
Shouldnt be callin the lady DuMB tho. Yall on too many BS games.
