- The Lexus LFR is an upcoming supercar that serves as the successor to the iconic LFA. Expected to debut globally in 2026, the LFR is anticipated to feature a twin-turbocharged V8 engine paired with hybrid technology, delivering a combined output exceeding 800 horsepower. This powertrain aims to provide exceptional performance, positioning the LFR to compete with European supercars like the Ferrari 296 GTB and McLaren 750S.
The design of the LFR is inspired by the Toyota GR GT3 Concept and the Lexus Electrified Sport Concept, showcasing a cab-rearward layout with a long hood, aggressive LED headlights, and a sculpted rear end featuring a prominent lip spoiler. The interior is expected to blend luxury with sportiness, drawing cues from the Lexus LC's cabin.
Built on a carbon-fiber monocoque chassis, the LFR aims to achieve a lightweight yet rigid structure, enhancing its performance capabilities. The vehicle is currently undergoing testing, with prototypes achieving sub-8-minute lap times at the Nürburgring, indicating its high-performance potential.
The Lexus LFR is set to mark a significant milestone in the brand's performance lineup, blending advanced technology with a design that honors its motorsport heritage.
