Awesome version of the plot. The last part had me in my feelings. Such a great power couple. Both leads had chemistry and I was thoroughly entertained. I could've watched 2+ hrs of this drama. With a sweet open ending...on to the next!!!
I love this plot but damn they keep changing ml's jobs... At first he used atleast have a big animal farm or something that can make sense that he became rich but this time he repairs bicycles... Damn he became billionaire by repairing cycles .. amazing😂

what i like about those drama travel back in older times is that it shows us the humble beginning of the richest man/woman in th future, they work hard to get were they are-because money do not fall from the tree.

This one is a reborn drama to the 80s/90s that is not adapting the unwilling mother/stepmother script (I love that one, but so many versions already).
I love that FL was a reporter. The job required her to have lots of knowledge on many important events, making it natural for her to know & remember lots of important past events.
Another thing that I love is, how that there are setbacks despite the supposedly smooth life (spoiler!!! E.g her rescuing Wang boss' son, he didn’t ended up losing both his wife (through death) & son, but he doesn’t necessarily become even richer than before. Instead, he got caught up in gambling). As ML background was being rich out of poverty step by step, it would be absurd if he didn’t encounter any hardship despite him being a genius (especially with him being an idealist kind hearted person, aside from the cousin, there must be many people tried to take him down).
Another spoiler! And random thoughts of mine.
The part where FL chose to divorce to safe ML until the very last scene is so perfect! Such a perfect storyline!
It also makes me think, watching so many dramas having the victims being blamed no matter what era (female victims being accused for seducing while male victims being accused for forcing). In the era of being accused for rape/sexual harassment can lead to death sentence (if what depicted here is based on actual regulation, I know nothing about China's law history) it must have been hard for wrongly accused victim to prove their innocent. On the other hand, despite this law intended to protect women in that era, the contradiction of people still blaming woman for being responsible (seduce the man) is also still there. Just suddenly feel sad thinking about it.

The kindness you show to people but they don’t appreciate it😢.See the drama gives a good example here ,the Ml save his comrade’s life but still what he did ,when Fl asked the man about both Ml and his daughter’s character ,he knew but couldn’t took the decision there and this shows not everyone is worth your sacrifice .Anyway the drama could have skipped that comrade part and show us the growing of Fl and Ml like that it was showing early on,but after that arc started it was like what they are doing business? Where did the clothing brand of Fl went? What happened to the Rich man’s dream? I hate the father of the 2fl green tea that showed up in the last part. Tell me what did he gain by supporting every evil of her daughter? He lost the precious comraderie between him and ml. I hate parents like these the most who do not have any spine to correct their children. You know these children only have the audacity to threaten for self harming. But they will not self harm in real. They are only extremely stubborn. You should have left her on her own devices for a while. Literally you have destroyed the precious friendship for supporting the tantrums of your child.
