I'm not even an active 3D artist. But I'm always so hyped for new Poligon content because it's simply mindblowing what you guys put out!
haha thanks mate :)
You are a god. I've only just found your videos but after watching 3 or 4 I've learnt more about CAD than I did from my time at university.
It's good for a artist who's already had the basics
Every time I'm struggling with how to model something i get a notification from either Blender Guru or Poliigon that instantly solves my problem. How is that even possible? You got a spycam in my house?! 😂😜
We can neither confirm nor deny any tapping
Also yes
That's a really cool idea. I don't really work with fabric much, but this could in handy some day.
you could also scale up your base meshes before bringing into MD, or set your object scale to 1000% on export. Try it! MD's simulation seems to kick out much smaller folding details on a larger mesh than it does when you simply reduce the pixel distance.
This works, but don't make the mistake I made thinking 10 is a safe particle distance at this scale. Hoo boy, that took a while to unfreeze. Start at 30 and work down if you need to, but 30 is already like a 5 at regular scale.
@@MoogieSRO what, you don't have a quantum computer?
WOW!!!! That realtime cloth moving on the bed is CRAZY!!! What the hell!! So, thats a reason to use marvelous designer, seems like you can use a big combination of sotware, damn.
I absolutely love your poliigon content... keep it up guru 👌🏼
I'm totally not the audience this is meant for, but somehow I am totally fascinated by this?
Maybe it's time to pick it up as a hobby then ;)
Good presentation of the product. But it actually quite possible to get small detailed wrinkles in Marvelous! All it takes is adjusting a few parameters, such as pressure, wreft, particle density and fabric presets...
But you can still enhance it even further by sculpting.
@@Cloganart Yeah but once you have enough wrinkles that make the model look realistic, why would you go futher, you know?
@@pineapplepen3542 Going the extra mile to make it realistic?
very smart you are the coolest human ever Andrew.
Got these the second they came out. Love them.
This makes life so much easier.
Poliigon never dissappoints :D
You're making cool stuff faster than I'm learning how to use them, I need to work harder!
You are the best. As always. Its such a pleasure following you
Oh my god is that Marvelous Guru?
Just bought my subscription tonight have to give these a try soon!
That’s mind blowing.
Thanks man for sharing these valuable stuff, so important for improving the portfolio of people. Congrats
*I love this ad !!*
ah ha ha ha ha ha ha ha, you said it man!!!
Wish you guys had a GumRoad pack for this instead of a weird credit system to download individual "brushes"
I really love to see this , You working really hard as always hope your success .
Thank you so much for the brushes
Lifesaver
oh my dear lord THIS is incredible!
Thank you very much for these brushes, this is amazing !
Just fantastic guys well done !!!
TBH you can get pretty fine detail if you max out the settings, just need a beefy computer
just depends how much patience you have
Finally, I can sculpt bed sheets
R u from blender guru?
BTW u really helped me 😄
Lava Dasher yes, he’s Andrew Price. He’s Blender Guru, now go back to making your donuts in Blender
@@Zi7ar21 Nah, Don't make people confuse. Andrew Price is the blender guy. this is another person. His name as Anderson Cost.
Should change title to "How to make Marvelous Designer fabric look more realistic in Zbrush"
Now someone needs to buy me Marvellous Designer
Great stuff, thank you!
A very nice set!
Thank you)
Kind a wished it would be a bundle.. could not be bothered to hand pick one at the time to purchase them all.. will pass...
This is so great! Thank you very much!
Andrew Price Always Great!
Poliigon has the best ads B)
Andrew, you're awesome
Great work once again.
That's amazing.
wow nice....i will be getting this. :) great work.
Can you make a video on how realistic 3d clothes are being made eagerly waiting.
I see you
Got used to the “terrible” zbrush interface , Andrew ;)
This will help arch viz greatly. Manually sculpting folds and creases is tedious and takes a long time to complete.
Hey Andrew, what if I want to animate to cloth I mean won't the brushes just make look just funny. Big fan
Thanks for the free brush
Amazing work!
why not just decrease the particle distance??
full course about rendering please
Thanks great tips, and product.
Of course now Marvelous has their own sculpting brushes.
very good idea
Wow that's really cool!
Thank you for sharing this cool stuff...
Oh he also does zbrush work? know him from blender guru, used to make his blender tutorials.
crazy dude thank you..
Thanks, really nice!
why are the top 3 comments just a few days/hours old?
Maybe reupload?
@@RevCQ7 No, then the original comments wouldn't exist and the upload date would display the video's reuploaded date
@@eggibot Probably people coming in from a combination of BlenderGuru's new 2.8 donut tutorial and the UA-cam algorithm recommending this.
Thank you!
Good job
Thanks for sharing
Wonderful.
Good video, tho your link to the tutorials on installing them in Substance and Blender seem to be missing.
or just lower the particle distance...
in the object browser go to default fabric and change srtrech-weft: 47 strech-warp:47 shear:99 and particle distance: 5 , more info here's the link www.marvelousdesigner.com/community/forum/ShowoffandLearn/5227
thanks~!!!
useful thanks!
Genius!
If you increase polygon density in MD - you'll get more realictic result.
Can you make a tutorial on how to set up all Mats from the website on unity please :D
thank you
Can you make a tutorial of these brushes in 3D coat.
Hey blender guru 😁
AWesome!
The link to the full set of brushes isn't working. It says page not found😢. Help plz i need those brushes
Please teach me how to combine city textures thanks
I've been looking at some of the textures at Poliigon.com. I just subscribed yesterday. I was interested in downloading the grass blade textures but I'm not sure how to apply them. Are you able to make a tutorial video for textures like that, or have you already? lol
Andrew, what about fabric folder directory on mac?
I only get the stitches brushes to work. The other ones, like arms, legs, armpit etc just gives me an error because it failed to load the brush
Cool!
ty bro
mayaguru. Jokes aside, amazing work as always
I think youre suppose to put a Map on youre marvellous model to add texture, still cool though!
Displacement Maps causes some issues, soo thats basicly the best option
@@maximilianschaffler9981 Oh, when I went further in the video, I saw what he ment.
nice one, man, can you also use these inside C4D sculpting tools?
Hi there. Yes, they should work well with C4D.
IT really looks "Marvelous' but very tedious work, also we need zbrush. Can zbrush core even load brushes? I tend to use a wringle or fold map in the as normal map. This helps quite a lot and is 10-100 times faster setting up. But having these brushes available is AWESOME
PS thanks for the samples, the preview vid does look really great!
Actually, you can use these in Blender as well. poliigon.helpscoutdocs.com/article/68-using-brushes-in-zbrush-blender-or-substance
-Reynante Martinez, staff and artist
Yes, i noticed after watching the full video :) I tend to head over to the comment section quite fast, to fast most of the time. Thanks!
Damn the quality and realism which Andrew outputs is so much better then his old days. I was always a bit freaked out that he used to model every like a bit like so and so, not taking real measurements into account. Though ive learned so much from his tuts, thanks again Andrew!!! Keep it up!!!!
Cannot wait when Marveous designer either goes open source and merges with blender. And there is no more marvelous designer but only blender. Or when somebody develops this stuff for blender. And we no longer need Marvlous designer. The thing is. All of it's functionality is in blender. Appart from one. Dragging the damn cloth in real time. PLEASE DO IT.
There is already cloth simulation on blender and there is an addon that does garment like Marvellous designer if you need to dress up characters.
The link to all 78 brushes on Poliigon does not work 😒
now that Marvelous Designer 8 has sculpting, is there any chance that these brushes might be able to work directly in MD8? MD also has a python API, which may increase this possibility.
This is awesome! As a soft goods designer (sofas, furniture, etc) my pipeline was getting rather long. 3DSMax, MD, Zbrush and on and on. My question for you Mr. Andrew Poliigon. Look at a video of Artem Gogolov on UA-cam. He is modelling and producing incredible sofa product models and renders. Can I do the same quality in Blender?
Can you make it tutorial, how to use it in blender. Thanks
Hi did you solve this? If yes, can you please share?
Just export as obj and import it to blender
ok yes but how do i install them in blender
Greetings, where can I buy them? the link is broken.
Can u suggest good tutorials to learn zbrush for archviz? thx
Look up classes by Paul Gaboury, his courses are insanely informative and complete. zbrushworkshops.com has some of his classes on it.
I have a question. What do you do when you have a animated character with cloth. If you brush all the smaller detail in there afterwards and use it as a normal map. All the smaller detail are going to stay the same true out the animation. Witch makes it look unrealistic. How do work around that problem. Thanks for this video!!
So I know you posted this two years ago, but just in case you never found a solution here's how I would approach that :)
- create 2 or 3 variations of the cloth detail normal map, trying to keep them consistent for scale.
- if you are making the maps for a specific animation (like a run cycle), make sure to factor in how the fabric will stretch during the animation and sculpt details accordingly. If it is for a variety of animations keep your sculpting generic.
- now in the shader, blend the normal maps together and animate the blend amounts. You can either do this by hand, or by "set driven keys" connected to your rig which can automate this for you
Gets recommended this.
"What the... What?"
Watching the video
"OH IT'S 3D"
Blender days are over ? Why using zbrush
How'd you like them apples?
But how to do the same in Blender?! )
you don't :)
why you what do this in blender, blender is for regular 3d poligon modeling, sculpting in blender is very bad. Don't use one software for all. I know, free, popular but not full profesional for some tasks. You can editing video in blender, but why? ;)
I wouldn't say the sculpting in Blender is bad, once you get used to the tools and such you'll be able to sculpt nice characters/objects, etc. Look up Yann Sculpts for example. Adding the brushes to Blender is possible too I think, I don't know how though.
Michal , Sculpting is actually Really good in Blender , and forget about the video editing , it's there but it doesn't slow anything down , I'm not saying you should try blender or anything , but I just wanted to let you know it's really really good in every aspect , I do Professional 3D works of all kind , all inside blender , and I also use marvelous , it's just that it breaks my heart when I see someone doesn't quite know blender yet , checkout the art station of the blender artists , have fun there btw friend
These work just as well in Blender! We created a tutorial on loading them in here: poliigon.helpscoutdocs.com/article/68-using-brushes-in-zbrush-blender-or-substance
Just know that they work best with a highly detailed mesh (which is where Zbrush has the advantage). So I'd recommend using Dynamic Topology.
How to snap or angle settings in marvellous for rotation
Oh, my gosh! Now we're talking!
