Thanks for watching the video. Hydration is essential for maintaining cognitive performance, energy levels, and for helping to remove toxins from the body which can contribute to brain fog and inflammation. It's important to find a balance in water intake, as both too much and too little can be detrimental to your health. The general recommendation is to aim for about 64 ounces to a gallon and a half of water per day. However, individual needs can vary based on factors such as activity level, climate, and overall health.
It's also important to note that hydration plays a significant role in mental health. Dehydration can lead to symptoms such as fatigue, sleep changes, increased pain perception, reduced immunity, low mood, low motivation, brain fog, and difficulty concentrating. Chronic dehydration is surprisingly common, with a significant portion of adults drinking less than 4 cups of water a day.
To ensure adequate hydration, it's recommended to consume around 60 ounces of water per day, ideally non-carbonated. Keep in mind that caffeinated beverages can act as diuretics and may contribute to dehydration. It's always a good idea to consult with a healthcare provider for personalized advice, especially if you have specific health concerns or conditions that might affect your hydration needs.
