    This was great and really sums up impressionism. Regarding the sun, Monet painted his sun in Impression: Sunrise with a red-orange color to convey the "feeling" of a warm sun. Tonalists will paint the sun with value instead of color, aka, blazing white. Your painting is beautiful.

      Thank you Lynne! Your comment is very thought provoking...I didn't even think about those things but all of a sudden something clicked in my head, thanks for that.

    Great video! But it would be even better if you talked in the video instead of writing so we can focus on the painting and not reading. Thanks

    That is absolutely awesome, great video, I think your impressionism style is much better than other artists, for you are not going for realism, but as Monet intended, a quick glance. Awesome.

    How would you do leaves or convey falling leaves?

    • @DecompressArt
      @DecompressArt  6 років тому +1

      Hi, funny you said that, the other day I was looking at all these fallen leaves on the ground and was thinking about how beautiful they are with the various red and orange and yellow tones. Maybe I will do a still life painting with them? We will see...

    Would this work with oil paints?

    • @DecompressArt
      @DecompressArt  6 років тому +1

      Yes the technique would be very similar! Acrylic dries very fast, but while it is wet it feels very much like oil.

    that is more like close to expressionist art with impressionist theme because of your art application but it's nice though.

    Nice painting. I found it impossible to read the text and try to look at what you were doing at the same time. If you could slow down the vid a bit and talk over it instead in future that would be much appreciated as the content is great just badly executed xx
