Thank you for the positive support. I really appreciate that. The BearHawk is a really interesting design and very much similar to the certified "MAULE" aircraft which was the very first aircraft I ever flew in! (Maule MX-7) Good to see you returning J P!
Really nice panel. Great covering job so far. The Stewart system works great without fumigation. Well edited. Craig Buttery needs to see this. Nice job Rob.
Nice work on the skeleton.. The minute i saw those 2 engine stands i said to myself , Harbor freight. Excellent choice for something light like what you got there. and the u joints , good idea. Good luck. looking forward to seeing more videos.
You've just created a convert - Stewart Systems for me from now on! Thank you! Already a long time fan of the Bearhawk, really more remarkable an aircraft than people realize, I have two friends building the 4 place and coming along really nicely in their builds but my experience has been on tin can airplanes, built an RV7A in 2.5 years. I am a 'slow builder' but I can't get my head around builds that take 10 sometimes 12 years, to spend that much of your life building what is ultimately just a machine that could ultimately come to naught in just seconds just doesn't add up but the passion and dedication has to be admired.
Thanks Darren for taking the time to watch and for your comments here! I really appreciate it. The point is to build, own, fly and aircraft regardless it it takes you 1 year or 12 to get it done. But yes... end goal is to fly but have fun along the journey as in life. If you haven't already... I built a T-211 in just under 14 months but that's a very advanced kit (not available as a kit anymore) with pre shaped and pre drilled components for everything.
Gary Myers Thanks for sharing that. I had never heard of that aircraft...had to look it up. Very interesting. Too bad it isn't in production anymore! Thank you for watching this episode! Please... Experimental Aircraft Channel sorry lol, autocorrect strikes again! I meant I (dig) the modified engine stand lol. As for my own build I’m just starting down that path with likely a single seat wooden vw powered machine based around one of the many established designs. Though I am tempted to buy an abandoned project near by that’s similar in concept but steel tube fuse and an ae81 Subaru on the nose. It may just save time and money but we know how that tends to go lol.
Brent ... I am hoping to return to cover this YES. Very much looking forward to seeing Rob's Bearhawk fly. Thanks for watching! Please....if you haven't already, SUBSCRIBE and help me build this channel to be able to get more people involved in aviation.
Becky Okoro Well no time like the present. START NOW. There are many kits out there that you can try your hand at just one components to start. Example would be a Rudder Kit or a Tail Kit etc. Thanks for watching! SUBSCRIBE as there will be many more KITS covered in the future.

Bear-hawk is a good plane with a big big payload. Wag aero’s Sportsman 2+2 is another good plane with big payload. I do love those beautiful tail draggers with utility and bush capabilities.
Dave Bottita WOW! A true plans/scratch builder! Can't wait to see yours completed! Yes...Rob may have chosen the Quick Build option but there is still plenty to do. Really looking forward to seeing your aircraft and Rob's in the air soon! Please... If you liked this video SUBSCRIBE and help me build this channel to get more people involved in AVIATION!
172's are GREAT airplanes. But... there are more/better/other options. Maybe it's time to consider BUILDING something! :-) Thanks for watching! Please... If you liked this video SUBSCRIBE and help me build this channel to get more people involved in AVIATION!
Great project. Point of order on airfoils: NACA (The National Advisory Committee on Aeronautics) was never pronounced "NAKKA" but always as the "IN-A-SEE-A". Pick up a pre-1958 aeronautical engineering book and "the" will proceed references to the NACA in the text - always.
Jim Daniel Thank you for pointing out that bit of history! Very interesting. I have heard both "Spoken" but more often than not the more "modern" way as mentioned in this video. That is fascinating, I just learned something myself...I don't think though you will have much luck changing the language of the culture of millions of experimental builders, designers and enthusiasts past present or future, I've heard "NAKKA' as you put it from the mouths of greats like Rutan, Dick Van, Tom Arnold and the like it's certainly become the right way to pronounce it regardless of the true history.
Honestly it's all over the place. This one...works mostly from home and in management so he does get a bit more opportunity to build and stay engaged daily.
@@TheBaldPilot iPads have a tendency to slow down and fail over time. If Apple even decides to make a new mini I'm sure the sizes will be different likely requiring a modification to the bezel. Having a few spare used iPads of the same type can't hurt.
@@ginacalabrese3869 Oh I realize the iPad has a limited life like most of the disposable electronics we all use in the portable category. The good news is this iPad is not a primary flight display and can be easily replaced including while in flight with either another iPad, or an iPhone. The FAA now recognizes the use of tablet devices for flight planning and navigation and refer to them as EFB's (electronic flight bags).

Omg a English teacher among us. Come on man. I know your right, but is your name Cliff Calvin?
Did I hear him say IFR for a small plane? In falsetto,*FAAAAANNNCYYYY*
Hi , ifr not mean to fly only FL600
Quick question: is there a bladder type tank mod for the BearHawk?
@Bearhawk Life can you answer this one Rob?
I'm not aware of the mod you are referring to.
