How does the green band hold up? I've been thinking about getting one for running and mowing the lawn. I just got an Apple Watch yesterday, it's the gold sport with the Midnight Blue band. I kinda just want to save that one for work and going out.
There's a port in the watch where the bands go. It's used for diagnosis at Apple stores and may be used for accessories in the future. Not sure this cleaning method is a good idea. Wetting that port that's usually covered by the bands may be damaging or void warranties. I'm not 100% sure of course. Just a thought.
I've just been using Monster iClean spray and a microfiber to clean mine. the only thing i clean with warm water and soap is the sports band i bought. The port i mentioned before is actually accessible only after popping off a tiny cover similar to a sim tray. But much smaller. Maybe it has a seal or gasket to prevent water? idk not worth the risk for me!
THANK YOU!! I really didn't have the common sense to think about using a Q-Tip. That was my main problem, was cleaning where the band goes in. The Q-Tip worked GREAT! (A question though, how would you kind of "Deep Clean" around the crystal back (heart rate monitor thing)? The problem with that is that I guess when working out and daily activities you sweat under there, and there is like a White build up when it dries, I can never get deep around the back crystal to get it all out, I get most of it out, but not all. If you can help, let me know. :)
juan gracia I have a sports band and a Milanese loop band for more formal occasions. My magic loop cleaning procedures are as follows. You’ll need four common household items. Dawn dish detergent ( I recommend this brand ), warm water, terry cloth towel and soft toothbrush. I recommend dawn because it really cleans the grime and oils. I picked up a nice generic soft bristled toothbrush from Walmart. The towel can be a facecloth or a terry dish towel. I tried a microfiber but found these tend to snag and produce too many lint snags so I had little lint hairs on my band I had to pull or pluck off. Now to clean - obviously, remove the band from your watch first and then run it under warm tap. Next I squeeze a thin line of dawn lengthwise down the entire band ( takes very little soap to be effective ). After adding the detergent I rub it in with my fingers and grab my handy toothbrush. I brush the entirety of the band, both sides in circular motions. If you have a soft brush, this gets in all the loops and really digs out the grime without being abrasive enough to damage the finish. Next step is a thorough rinse again with warm water. At this point I can really start seeing a nice polished shine reappearing and you can see a mucky off rinse of oils and dirt. Lastly, I lay the rinsed band flat on terry towel and fold over to envelope entire surfaces of your band and press length of band. I will let it sit a minute or so so the towel absorbs any excess water. Don’t drag through the towel to dry. Again, I find this will create unsightly lint and often snag. Fold towel over and pat dry. A very last thing you can do if so desired is use some canned air to really ensure you blow out any water that may dry and create a dull luster on your loop. Enjoy your like new shine and clean band!

+Techy Agent That isn't the case for me, even if I get really active and sweaty, due to my overwhelming clean-freak OCD. When I'm at work and getting dirt/dust all over my band and sweat/grime on the watch body, I rinse the band and swab the watch body immediately after clocking out, every time. My Black Sport band still doesn't smell like anything even today, just like when I first got it back in October 2015. While the Sport band is sweatproof, it promotes sweating, due to the material having no breathability. I wanted a band I could wear for casual outings that breathes so my wrist will not get sweaty, so in response, I also purchased a Black Woven Nylon band for my Space Gray Apple Watch Sport 42mm. I've only had the Woven Nylon for 2 weeks, but it's extremely comfortable, stays much cooler, and doesn't pull/grind on the skin. In summary, I clean my Black Sport band almost *daily*, and I often switch out to the Black Woven Nylon for casual outings in which I know I won't be sweating and want a more comfortable & attractive band.

I have an Adidas Peach Tree Watch, there fully waterproof, when mine got dirty I filled the sink up with soapy water and washed it under there.
