    I came back from Metz doing the course last weekend and feel like sharing a few words.
    If you catch yourself watching Anti Pilote de Ligne Droit videos more than twice, it's time for you to plan yourself a trip to France. :)
    It will be more than worth it, you will learn a lot and acquire fantastic new skills which may also save you from a possible future crash, if you rely solely on countersteering to turn and one day slippery surface betrays you.
    This is more than just riding a motorcycle, it's about increasing overall awareness and proprioception about you and your body.
    If you have ever done any martial art in your life, you'll find strong resemblence, it's about finding that fine delicate feel for things and perfecting it.
    Yes, this is a martial art, and Clément is a sensei. A motorcycle Yoda which will show you your way to become a Jedi knight. :)
    He'll take you into the deep dark forest where 2+2=5 and you cannot (!) fall of the motorcycle.
    You'll be up exploring the uncharted territory through a series of challenging tasks and brilliant exercises and each will grab you way out of your comfort zone but at the end you will manage!!! :)
    Come fit!
    The body effort needed to lean the motorcycle Japanese style is very tough on your core, as you need to hold your body yourself at all times, so better come as fit as you can, do stability exercises, planks, side planks and push-ups.
    Come prepared!
    Study all the major Anti Pilote de Ligne Droit videos so you can ask all the right questions.
    Take your girlfriend/wife with you!
    Metz is a beautiful place and France at its best!
    The closest international airport to Metz is in Luxembourg, which is only 1h train ride away.
    That's a convenient way to arrive.
    My advice: take a week off and do two courses on two consecutive weekends!

    Another excellent video. Just wish I could stop fighting the handle bars during the turn. Just like you said I don't get to full lock until late in the turn. Still allows me to do 18' u turns with my 2018 Goldwing DCT(most of the time) but I know I'm fighting the falling effect which prevents me from turning tighter. Can't wait for your next video.

    Excellant demonstration of precision turning a MC and accurate english description of the many actions that occurr. I think you do need ONE more important descriptor, The imbalance timing and duration give you complete control of the MC, but to ensure enough quick lean angle for your desired turn, the LEVERAGE of the hanlebars do that very well.. This involves all the actions you describe and be sure to mention the importance of using the handlebars as LEVERS. I think it was Achemedes that ensured that we all how important and powerful LEVERAGE can be. Thanks a million, this is an important tool for all riders to study.

    • @AntiPiloteDeLigneDroite
      @AntiPiloteDeLigneDroite  3 роки тому

      Thanks :)
      But I don't use the handlebar at all.. And the bike has a better reaction of lean angle when I remove the weight I have because of the protection that are on the handlebar :)

    Any chance for online course? I have practiced your exercises but would be great if I get a feedback. Perhaps to make a video and send it to you for comments / advices. Especially as today I have dropped the bike onto my right ankle. Good that I have been with the moto boots and the ankle has been only slightly twisted 😅.

    • @AntiPiloteDeLigneDroite
      @AntiPiloteDeLigneDroite  3 роки тому +3

      No, sorry... a very important key is the control of your body, and we don't have all the same understanding of our body. So when I say to somebody "do this movement", I can see as much different movements than people lol The course helps me to fix this, by taking people behind me, to make them feel, and I can fix the correct musles, by moving peoiple hand to hand :)

  • @sucramsucram3558
    @sucramsucram3558 3 роки тому

    Thank you. Much to think about. I have some questions please. How are you unbalancing the bike countersteering, or body weight. If bodyweight, are you doing the Japanese style leaning back to one side from the hips, or something else? Can you do a video about body weight on the bike? 😀

    • @AntiPiloteDeLigneDroite
      @AntiPiloteDeLigneDroite  3 роки тому +2

      I am not counter steering, I try to do the Japanese way of leaning, playing with shoulder, back, hip , leg, ankle. At this speed, it is very easy to make it unbalance, I mean, no matter your movment on the bike. But the key, is to work on the same movment any time to make it normal.
      About doing a video, it is very hard, as everybody will understand something different from what I say... Thanks to my experience dring the courses, when I say the same thing to different people, especially about body, I can see so much difference between people! So for now, for this part, I prefer to teach it "man to man", I mean being with the peron to fix their body position and movments. This is why we take only 4 persons per course, the, I have time to follow everybody :)

    I agree this idea that a tight turn need imbalance to fall bike. This is very scary for beginners.

    • @AntiPiloteDeLigneDroite
      @AntiPiloteDeLigneDroite  2 роки тому

      The imbalance effect doesn't come from the rider, as he is to light to move the center of gravity of the bike enough. The self rotation of the handlebar is the doing the counter bazlance.

  • @xandervanced6058
