- Nothing to yammer on about today, so decided to cruise in third! Motorcycles are meant to be RIDDEN, and despite all the comments about my shifting.... I REFUSE! Third all day my friends... third. all. day.

Hey Rocketeer. Have to say, your Vlog pushed me over the top, brought home a 2024 R two weeks ago. Doing some of the same mods (MotoDynamics Light/Tidy) and strongly considering the low seat. Just spoke to Leo @Brooklyn. he's passing my contact info, hoping we can meet on one of your Island rides. The drop in height would be really appreciated but worried my 62-year old knees will feel the pain... sadly had to sell my VFR1200F. she just got to painful to ride.
Hey Pat! Glad to hear you have joined the triple family, and glad I could help! Congrats!! I used the low seat for about a month, and then switched back. The drop in height is confidence inspiring, but it also changes how the bike handles. The width is also wider than the stock seat, so I got a little chafing of the inner thigh, which was not pleasant on longer rides. Anyway, happy to talk seats, but I don’t really meet up with people from here (or social media in general) unless it’s at a public place. We can talk via instagram if you have an account (my account is @the_rice_rocketeer), or If you want to meet at the dealership, I would be game!
Also, sorry to hear about the VFR. It’s an awesome bike. We had one at the dealership, and I thought it was so cool. Very futuristic looking! Congrats again on the new STR, and hope to talk soon!
heyy im gonna be bringing my motorcycle up here hopefully by july (fingers crossed!!) do you have any routes that you suggest in or outside nyc?
I have mostly been hitting Bear Mountain area, and random roads in Jersey. My plan for this year is to do more upstate NY/Connecticut to expand my terrain. I just recently went to seven lakes, which was great. Lots of different roads all around the same area.

Niiiiice! That bike is SO much fun. We had one at the dealership I was working at, and I got to ride it around the neighborhood for a little. Wish I had done that as my first bike. It’ll be super fun up in the twisties.
