Really enjoyed listening to this after watching him at the nations. What happened with the ending? Seemed to just stop half way through the chat without the sign off at the end.
Kay de wolf is my new Hero. I am 50 years old but brother I am pulling for you and can't wait for you to come home to America. Your new home lol. Great idol for kids to look up to. Humble, gracious. May God bless you sir
Ropes😂 A movie scene recreation is needed. “Damn dirt bikers” 😂 And how happy they were to catch them. Such a waste. “We really got those guys having more fun than us in the woods on Xmas.” 🙄
You have the best podcast in the world my brother. Keep up the awesome work. You are the definition of authentic. Kay de Wolf is authentic to the core. Bad Ass
1:17 something so satisfying about hearing a champ praise the skills of other riders, with the details of specific things they do on track. Fire gypsy pod 🔥 Prado pod is also crazy good
Jase dude. The biggest smile came to my face when I logged on the tube and this was first up. Shitttty week but this makes that go away!!❤️much love bro
I met Kay this year at the GP of Czech Republic and I can tell you, that he is the most humble and friendly guy of all racers I have met there. He was the only one, who talked to all of his fans and took some time to take some pictures and have a quick chat with him. I just can say, that I am a big fan of him and I hope, that he will have a injury free career and to see him race SX in the future 🙏🏻 I wish you all the best Kay, I hope we will see each other next season at the GP in Loket again 😁
This guys amazing. Love his view on deegan. He kept it so real and honest. I personally think he could beat deegan but it depends on the track, the conditions, starts. Lots of variables
what an episode Jace! thank you for getting all different walks of life from moto and action sports in general...rather than interviewing the saaaaame guys every week like other media outlets do...like how's your gear, how's your off season training going, how's your bowl movements. KDW was a heck of a listen, such great conversation, and his story telling was impeccable! when i'd switch to different tabs, it sounded like Herlings was talking, they sound eerily similar. looking forward to the next ✌
Absolute rocket, this guy is so authentic and such a free spirit racing dirt bikes! You know he wants to race AMA, can't wait... great content as always!
You made a good point about the #1 plate, Jase! I hope he does it! After watching him at MXoN and listening to this podcast, I've definitely become a fan!
Great interview. I love how Kay also shows respect to the GPs, as it is where he was able to make a lot of progress. The GPs have more factory support than ever, in the sports history and their television has millions of views. So it isn't all bad, as Jase would like to think. I think Jase has been to like one GP in his life, and would love some of the places we visit.
The number 1 convo was blowing my mind. There’s no question you’re #1. I vote run it. No question. Cheers guys! Great episode. So much fun with the raw riding memories. Why we are all here 🍻
Not to be that guy but to correct your math, it was actually roughly 7 hours a day he rode that pit bike during that 6 week break. He said he trained on Wednesday and raced Sundays, so assuming he didn’t ride the pitter much those two days. So basically 5 days a week for 6 weeks is 30. 30 days X 7 hours a day would be 210. 🙂
Great podcast Jace, awesome guest yet again. Here’s something for everyone to think about: Prado, who is now a 2x MXGP Champion can test out supercross and race 4 races at the highest level of the sport before defending his title. But, Kay De Wolf, who will be the defending world champ, is testing out supercross, but, he can’t race paris supercross due to the risk of crashing. You could crash at the practice track or on a road bike ride. Come on KTM.
I listen to these on Spotify, don’t think I’ve ever watched a whole podcast with the video before!!! This was awesome!!! Haha 🤣 found it funny though when Europeans talk about how hot it is though when in certain areas. I think He mentioned one riding day it was hot at 30ish degrees which is around 85 Fahrenheit…. Man that is a cool summer day on the USA… and for the people down south or down under that is Fall weather… people work outside for 12hrs in 90+degree heat
Us euro fans know what Kay is about I’m glad so many Americans have taken to him so fast. The dude had it trust me he’s gonna end up in the states and win titles just wait!
I love how he was impressed by Nico Dercourt! Nico is a good dude, so funny! He and his dad have a car repair shop so he doesn’t ride fulltime. He was a badass in 125, finished 2nd in EMX championship back in 2013 in front of a bunch of good guys.
This Episode Was so Sick 🤙🏻‼️ Kay is Funny A.F 😂😅.... really awesome conversation 👏... Dope little shout out to my homie Michael Docherty @MikeDoc19 🇿🇦
I really like how Kay gives shout outs to unkown riders. This is something that absolutely undoubtedly has to change about the GPs. It used to be that everyone who qualified got enough money to make the trip worth their while. It's absolutely shameful that there are 34 dudes at the gate in France when we know that the national championship is so fucking stacked. Same for the German championship and the italien and the dutch. This is what MX is supposed to be about.
lemme ask this…theres 2 events on…gp riders and ama riders, same weekend, you have to pay 10pounds,euros,dollars whatever to watch one event, one event has say 100k to win outright, the other has a trophy…where does your 10 pounds, dollars or euros go on pay per view?
@@Familytube90 No he didn't Tomac had a title on the line, and both of their mental approaches to that weekend were totally different. Did Herlings kick ass? Yes he did! But Tomac just dusted the living **** out of him at MXON.
91kmh is less than 60mph. Even if he meant 91mph, he is not hitting a 7 iron 205 meters. Not unless it was a crazy strong lofted 7iron at like 21° which is actually a more strong 4 iron loft. 3:01
Im an Aussie living in the Blue Mountains, yeah like he said about enduro riding. National Parks essentially killed motocross up here. There was an official track basically in my back yard and trails all over the place. Basically everyone rode dirt bikes. Parks didnt like the track, for the environment and erosion they said, wouldnt even negotiate and tell us what they wanted us to do to bring it up to spec and maybe keep it going. There was a 99 year lease from the government for the land but it was overruled. There is almost no motorbikes riding around anymore, its sad. They allow some mountain biking, but no formed tracks they all need to be pretty much natural terrain
Environmental police are really strick out here in New England too. Massachusetts EP tackled me off my bike and many other riders have been charged and bikes taken… wild and pretty absurd
It's interesting there was no talk about Lucas Coenen, who is 3 years younger than De Wolf and he was faster that De Wolf towards the end of the MX2 season and he even was faster than De Wolf at the MXON until he fell and sustained a bone fracture. Interesting because De Wolf obviously asserts himself as the fastest MX2 guy in the world as he said "if Haiden beats me then he is the fastest".
Lucas has to stay off the ground. He didn't have anything to lose because he was like 80 points down on Kay. He's the real deal though. Wouldn't be surprised to see him get 5 MXGP wins this season
Lucas definitely impressed me with how fast he was but also the dude crashed alot, Kay have been alot more consistent then Lucas, not as fast at all times but speed doesnt matter if you cant be consistent
Kay is a great champion, person and ambassador of MX. Awesome story. Just for me, Jase steered this conversation too much into complaining about infront while I would love to hear more about rivarly with L. Coenen… 🤷🏻♂️
Dude, in Ohio in the late 80s we would run from conrail, the train company.. It stopped when they shot my buddy. In the leg with salt pellet.and they had 2 quadzilla's Suzuki. They would chase us on an XR 100 Cr 80 3wheelers ,it was so fun. Until the salt pellets
Only issue i see when talking "fastest in the world" is that Lucas Coenen actually faster than de wolf.. so rather see him and Deegan square it up. Which will probably happen earlier aswell.
Opened my eyes, i thought you guys got paid prize money when you win a race. When i used to go to the Gps' there would be hundreds of people all lined up to watch, now you don't see so many, and thats because it is so dear now, and all the safety bull shit puts people off, great interview guys..
Great interview this guy is solid what a awesome personality. I have been following him for the last couple of yrs he reminds me of the Jeffrey Herrings when he was younger. I can't wait tell he comes over here to race he will be a champion in sx/mx. He would be a great asset for either Triumph or Duc. Someone sign this young man up because he is going to be a Hugh commodity.💪✌️👍
nah deegs got it kay gunna be servin fries at mcds after deegans done with him lol jk cannot wait to see him and deegan battle one day, more exciting than deegan vs jett
100% against anyone promoting these bikes as part of the sport.. they can be a separate racing category like gncc, NOT a part of mx and sx .. ebikes... this will no doubt b the future of our sport ONE DAY .. I have all intentions to make that day as far into the future as possible and anyone not about that goal has lost any support they’d get from me bc I believe those bikes will destroy the sport but mainly bc i want that day to be as far into future as possible as in like after I’m dead, I’m a healthy ish 34 year old sooo jus sayin ..
Man hearing about these commies in other countries truly makes me happy and blessed to be American. At least we are still more free than everyone else. I ride my 250f to the store all the time no plates cops in my area don’t care.
listening to kay talk on the gps in his opinion just put iny mind right away, greed from the lungos again, cramming so much in theres no time for safety? fix the track? the emx is great racing, full gates, better actually than mx2 an mxgp but run them in there own seperate series, like it used to be? your still robbing them blind in fees to ride so im sure theres enough to run an emx series around europe? the gps are getting more stale year by year from commentary, the schedule, tracks, amount dwindling on the gates, crowds it is dying
This was so good. Kay is the man! Please do me a favor and SMASH the LIKE button. Believe it or not it makes a massive difference to the views ❤
So it sounds like he doesn't have any interest in coming to the USA full time 2026!
Really enjoyed listening to this after watching him at the nations. What happened with the ending? Seemed to just stop half way through the chat without the sign off at the end.
love love love watching Kay ride. so sick, so much style and speed. he did earn the #1 but #74 is iconic too - his own brand forever.
I like the rivalry with Deegan, but is being the fastest 250 rider really a coveted title? All of these guys are looking forward to 450 racing!
Why does the video end so abruptly at 3:01:24? something is missing. The parts: 03:04:26 Dutch Motorsport Fans
& 03:08:13 Outro. WHY???
Kay has just made millions of new fans, his demeanor and professionalism is off the charts. Can’t wait for next year’s season ❤🇺🇸😁
