    Thank you for sharing this review :) This is the only BC sealer in the market in Taiwan right now. It's always comforting to know the pros and cons of the products before laying hand on them.

    Is it retreatable if we used Endoseal MTA?
    Have you retreated before ?

    Thank you so much for your review! I'm curious how much this sealer costs relative to BC Sealer. I believe a syringe of BC costs about 150$, and according to Dr. Nasseh's youtube video, a one 2g syringe of BC sealer can fill 57 canals with bc sealer. How much does a syringe of ENDOSEAL MTA cost? And how many grams in the syringe? Thank you very much! I look forward to watching the rest of your videos!

      Hi Jon, thank you for watching! BC sealer retail in Boston is closer to $200 retail. Marichu EndoSeal MTA is $100 according to their distributor in California. The syringe is 3g for the EndoSeal MTA. Something to consider: I find BC sealer more stable in the syringe. I never feel like I have to bleed out before use. With the EndoSeal, you sometimes need to bleed out. I guess that's the trade off between slow and quick set. Because EndoSeal MTA is quick set, it's possible some will be wasted for bleeding. I can't say how much though :)

    I thought that bc sealer is more flowable than endo seal MTA ??

    • @KevinDental
      @KevinDental  5 років тому

      It's the opposite actually. BC sealer is thick as compared to EndoSeal MTA and AH plus.

    Retreatment?

    I think bc sealer has a fast setting reaction than endo seal MTA especially if canal is slightly wet ??!

    • @KevinDental
      @KevinDental  5 років тому

      It's actually the opposite. There are studies that show that BC sealer does not set in experimental conditions, even under humid conditions. EndoSeal MTA sets for sure. And, it sets quickly, like AH plus.

    Which is better Endoseal MTA or Ah plus regarding your points in the video ?

    Is bc sealer more radio-opaque than Endoseal MTA? I used to use AH Plus Jet before switching to Endoseal and Endoseal appears faint on x-rays compared to AH plus. Your thoughts?

    • @KevinDental

      AH plus may be a tiny bit more radio-opaque. But EndoSeal MTA should be more radio-opaque than BC.

    Can we use Endo seal MTA in hydraulic condensation technique??

      Yes, you can! EndoSeal MTA is the same family as BC sealer.

    I have some questions
    1 is it ok if it extrudes beyond the apex
    2 what about retreatment
    3 is. It resorpable
    4 can it be used with open apex cases ( apexification or apexigenesis)

    • @KevinDental
      @KevinDental  6 років тому

      Hi Hasan, 1) It will be okay. Just be careful as one would usually do with other sealers. Try to limit the amount of extrusion and be more careful in areas close to anatomical structures like IAN or maxillary sinus. 2) Yes, this can be used for retreatment 3) One of the benefits of this setting so quickly, especially compared to BC sealer, is that you know it will set. And thus, this won't resorb. Of course, this goes back to point 2 that one should be careful in certain circumstances not to overly extrude. 4) This will work well in open apex cases. If you have apical hard tissue, you can actually use this to backfill the entire canal, just like what you would with BC sealer.

      KevinKuoProductions thanks for the reply ... but my point for the retreatment is that how does it dissolve in case of failure as the bc sealer is very difficult to bypass...

      I understand what you are saying now. I've retreated a few BC sealer cases. In those situations, I didn't notice much of a difference between retreated BC cases versus cases with other sealers. The Gutta Percha in the middle creates a glide path to apex allowing the provider to use NiTi instrumentation to adequately remove the BC remnants laterally. What I don't know is how difficult it would be if the apical 1 mm was only BC sealer. I haven't come across that situation yet.
