I´ve been a fan for more than ten years now and this show in Munich was my first time seeing FEAR FACTORY live. It was one of the best concerts I had in the last few years, felt just like in the old days where all the people come together and enjoy their love for metal. I´m even in the video at the end - and I caught one of Dino´s picks.
ive been a fan since high school when I heard obsolete..my favorite band all time..FF for life!
Timeless muzikaz and outstanding prodigy band.
So humble and down2earth.
It's always been about breaking mainstream with these guys. I remember being backstage at the House of blues in Vegas back in 99, and that's what they were talking about then, being played on MTV and making it big. Dino was pretty cool and had me hang out at 16! It was an 18 or older show that I snuck into wearing my Brujeria tshirt lol good times. Anyway, later that summer I found out Dino was right. MTV actually had the balls to put them on some wrestling show they were doing for spring break.
My point is they've had their chance to break out. And they sort of did. Now whether or not you blame digimortal's rush to print as any reason for them slowing down, will have to be added to half the other crap going on around the world and music business at that time.
Fear factory were the best band anyone could have ever seen back in 99. I'm literally getting goosebumps remembering those strobe lights perfectly synched to ray's feet kicks. Anyway, a little nostalgic..
FF for life..
+ALEX ALEXANDER You're right, I remember reading tons of press back in the late 90's, it's weird looking back now, but everyone back then thought FF were going to be absolutely massive. I think the main problem is that they just really aren't a mainstream band and when they try to shoehorn their sound into something it really isn't (Digimortal, Transgression) it shows and they just ultimately lose fans instead of gaining new ones.
Killuminati. Aaaaa! lol.
I met these guys twice. Back in 2010 for Meet n Greet and 2012 outside their tour bus. Me and my bandmate gave them our demo CD and business card outside their tour bus. Burton put it in his right shorts pocket,,, pretty sweet. Never heard from them though :/
Dino's like "look kid, i can do cool shit on guitar too" at 1:27
Ha! I still got the Mortal Kombat cd, that's how I also discovered the band. Fear Factory fans are mostly 30+ age, they need to start putting out tracks in the video games, and movie soundtracks to get new generation of fans.
El Superbeasto There's always a movie out there that you could put FF song in, Underworld, Resident Evil, or new Mortal Kombat. Any sci-fi or action movie. It's not even about making money of the song but getting your name out there.
El Superbeasto
I guess it's all about the right connections. Raymond use to be somewhat in the game industry. They use to have songs in video games, and few movies. Last movie I can think of was "Saw".
They had money for this, they got. Don`t worry but all probaly are dead.
