Petunia flower | How to grow petunias from seeds

I grow petunias from harvested seeds. It took more than four months to record the process from seed germination and growth to flowering.
Petunia is a perennial herb, and its optimum temperature for growth is between 15°C and 25°C. During the growth period, it needs to maintain sufficient sunlight. Under normal sunlight conditions, it takes about 100 days from sowing to flowering.

They need light to germinate.

Why didn't you put the seeds directly in to the soil? Any specific reason?
