    I live in North Carolina for most of my life. I lived in Tennessee when my petunias die off the seeds fall into my pot and they grow the next year. There is no starting them over because they do that on their own. They have done that on their own every year, you don’t have to worry about starting new petunias They are perennial😘

    How should I set the little vent holes on the cover? Open? Closed? Half & half?

    • @TADAGreenhouseandNursery
      @TADAGreenhouseandNursery  10 місяців тому

      Start closed. After the germinate go to half. After a week of half remove the dome

    After they germinate, do you leave the heat mat on or turn it off? Thanks!!

    • @TADAGreenhouseandNursery
      @TADAGreenhouseandNursery  11 місяців тому +3

      I leave it on for another week then cut the temp down to 75. After 3 more weeks they come off of the heat mat

    I need help lol. I did all this. Germinated them in a heat pad in my basement. 2 four foot lights on 24/7 and they germinated and looked just like yours. Well, Its been a month and they have not grown one bit since germination. I removed the lid and changed the lighting to 18/6 and turned the heat pad off. My basement is a constant 62 degrees. Why did they stop growing? I mean they are literally an 1/10th of an inch high and are nice and green but just stopped growing. Thanks for the Video.

      Have you fertilized them. After about 2 weeks I start add fertilizer in the water
      Not much nutrients in seed starting mix if any at all. Give that a try and see if that kick them in gear

    good information, thank you. How long do you keep the trays on the heat mat? I was thinking that once they germinate, I would take them off the heat mat? Eva

      I cut the thermostat down to 70. That keeps the soil warm enough to grow in. End of January they will come off of it completely. Thanks for watching. Let me know if I can help with anything
