I literally cannot believe they were talking about brides in the 1980s without mentioning Princess Diana. I wasn’t even born and I still know how iconic/influential her look was during the era.
PLEASE call this what it is, your MODERN interpretations of "100 years of makeup!" You really downplayed most of the looks and while they're pretty, they don't represent what was actually popular in the decade.
I especially love the look at 2:43. The olive green, and natural look, with the tiara headpiece. Although, I'm not sure if I'm correct in calling it a tiara when it is worn this way. The models are beautiful, and talented; they looked like they enjoyed the shoot. The makeup and hair artists did a great job. Talented people on this shoot.
the brows are highly inaccurate, I feel like these are modern makeup looks inspired by each era. And the 80s... No one wore such colors for their wedding, light blue, white and silver eyeshadow with some kohl was popular.
@@eaqua56 Yes, I have my parents wedding photos too, my mom almost wore no makeup, the dresses however were often in the centre of attention, they had big puffy sleeves. Just look at princess Diana on her infamous wedding day, wedding subtle makeup.
Whenever one of these videos comes out, I'm always curious to what look actually looks like the era its from or if they're just playing up the dramatization for views.
I love that there is diversity in the models cast skin color and hair type. They should put more big girls though, since brides come in all shapes and sizes too. Great video!
Thank you! I'm the 2010 model 💕 someone commented that I looked fat but I told them that I'm a curve model with two agencies and healthy so I so appreciate this kind comment. 💕Some people can be so inconsiderate.
Wedding Makeup in the 20th century really depended on the time of day your wedding was! If your wedding was during the day, a less bold look was key, if you wedding was during the evening, bolder makeup was fine!
Nice video. I liked all the looks (even though they don't seem historically accurate) except the 2010s one - I thought it would have been prettier (I'm talking about the make-up only, not the model)
i really like the 1920 make up. but that be because it looks so amazing on the model. it probs wouldnt look that good on me at my wedding next year lol
Most of these where so historically innacurate,it HURT.especially the 20's and 30s.Also these "facts" that you guys put in the corner probably aren't even true facts.
Beautiful. Some ideas that would be good are 100 years of wedding dresses for women, 100 years of tuxedos for men, 100 years of wedding hair styles for both men and women, 100 years of wedding outfits for flower girls and ring bearers, and/or 100 years of maid of honor, bridesmaids, best man, and the other men who are with the groom. I would also like to see 100 years of beachwear along with other clothing for special occasions like the holidays such as Christmas, Halloween costumes, Independence Day, Valentine's Day, Easter, and others. 100 years of school clothing would be good too as well as 100 years of play clothing. I hope to see these videos in the future and it looks like all the women had fun doing this video.
I am someone who is afraid of marriage, I am someone who doesn't like doing makeup and UA-cam is recommending me this video...but I liked their look, they are looking beautiful...
But in my country, Brides just swim on foundation then 100 of lipsticks very dark blush, creepy eyebrows, dark eyeshadows I don’t get it we just use too much makeup
I love the throwing the bouquet transition between brides
same its soo satisfying
Me too!

ballpointpen 9000 ikr!! They are basically insulting her
Then they insulting her by mention someone that leave her dad and married a prince to be famous
Sopharath Samita AAAAAA IKR
EXACTLY!
Her dress was epic but definitely not her makeup!
I watch these as a guilty pleasure, I know they’re not historically accurate but they’re so fun
I’m just here waiting for Karilina zebrowska to make a commentary on this video to see more accurate looks lol
Exactly haha
same!
Oh my God! You too are a child of the meme mom! ♡♡♡
Same :))
You took the words right out of my mouth! 😄💖
PLEASE call this what it is, your MODERN interpretations of "100 years of makeup!" You really downplayed most of the looks and while they're pretty, they don't represent what was actually popular in the decade.
Holly thank you!
I think they have their own makeup/hair stylists as opposed to hiring vintage ones.
Correct!
@Holly Jackson except the whole point of the video was trying to accurately represent 100 years of bridal makeup, if you care to read at all.
Yes
I don't know why but i'm addicted to this channel
@eshaal emad heheheeheheeh
Yeah same!

They're cute looks but definitely not historically accurate.
Heidi Vining I agree
How do you know?
@@thehamoodiandoctor5792 Ever looked at vintage pictures and fashion plates on Pinterest?
Heidi Vining What makes you think that those are more accurate than this?
Yes
the brows are highly inaccurate, I feel like these are modern makeup looks inspired by each era. And the 80s... No one wore such colors for their wedding, light blue, white and silver eyeshadow with some kohl was popular.
Right! I def have photos from my parents and their friends weddings (the ‘80s). Makeup was much more subdued...
@@eaqua56 Yes, I have my parents wedding photos too, my mom almost wore no makeup, the dresses however were often in the centre of attention, they had big puffy sleeves. Just look at princess Diana on her infamous wedding day, wedding subtle makeup.
Especially the 1930's eyebrows. They were too thick!
*Makeup not clothing*
The video was about the MAKE-UP and not all people are so formal
Whenever one of these videos comes out, I'm always curious to what look actually looks like the era its from or if they're just playing up the dramatization for views.
Watch for decades you remember. That's the best indicator.
And realize the country is huge and fads differ by income and age, too.
Look up Karolina zebrowska
Ааааааааааааа
1:53 she has such pretty shade of green eyes!
One thing is common among all the brides
They all look great!
1950s one of my favs
The 1950's make up was so pretty!
I've always like 50s makeup looks. Red lips, lined eyes and lashes. Simple yet classy.
I love that there is diversity in the models cast skin color and hair type. They should put more big girls though, since brides come in all shapes and sizes too. Great video!
This is so interesting cuz I'm getting married this November!!! I think my fave was the 1950s!
Congratulations! 💍
Casey Finnegan wish the best for you!!
Congratulations!
Congratulations!
The 1950's was amazing. Me and my stepmom are getting that matching make up for her and my dads wedding. Btw congratulations!
I think 2010’s brides typically do more of a glamorous makeup look.
They're all beautiful, I can't 😍🙌
Thank you! I'm the 2010 model 💕 someone commented that I looked fat but I told them that I'm a curve model with two agencies and healthy so I so appreciate this kind comment. 💕Some people can be so inconsiderate.
They all look so pretty but you are my favorite one. You are so beautiful with beautiful features and complexion.
@@lgilbert720 you r very pretty dont listen to haters
@@guccipradaversacedior2643 thank you gorgeous 😘😘 trust me I don't pay attention to anyone who doesn't pay my bills lol!
Had know idea people had fake nails and fake eyelashes in the 30s. I thought it would at least come 20 years later
Same
ikr
Nah, they had em. But they were more for the rich snobs and movie stars that could afford them
@@nuggylikestheeggs I agree that if fake nails were to be had back then, it was movie stars and rich ladies.
Este canal nos enseña la evolución de la moda mientras nos divierte
Es el mejor canal de UA-cam lo amo 😍👏❤💓❣
Honestly,I was afraid of the 80s,but it wasn't that bad.
No. Read my message. My friend did pastels. Her photo was gorgeous.

Well, the rest was pretty bad, but the 50s was actually quite accurate. Maybe they are learning...
Everyone looked so beautiful ❤️
0:41
Every styles are so beautiful but i love this style!
i can conclude that allure has the WORST 100 years videos
Agreed
Why would You said so anyway ?
Any reasons ???
Wanna hear Your explanations badly 😊😊
LITTERALY not everything is gonna be accurate but everything is perfect they do this for fun not to prove an historical point
The red head is stunning
I love how natural the models look. They are so beautiful 💕
Okay, the looks all look amazing in their own ways, but the 30s makeup looked so incredibly dreamy and peaceful to me😍
These brides are all so pretty. 🌹🌹🌹
Cute idea to transition with the bouquet
All these models are stunning in their own way 😍
omg 2:59 is so gorgeous 😭😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️❤️
My fav. Is 1950s and up
My fave ,50's & 80's
0:05 The 1920’s girl looks like Mia Thermopolis Renaldi Princess of Genovia
3:35 she has such beautiful hair!
Thank you ❤️
I am in love with these cute looks
they are all beautiful
my fav makeup shown here was the 1980 look
the 60's makeup is basically just how I do my makeup everyday tbh
You always do the 20s and 30s dirty :( neither of those look anything like makeup from those eras.
I love your profile picture
The last one literally took my breath away MA
1950s would be my style❤️
Cute brides
allure i request you to make videos on 100 years of indian bridal makeup plzz
May eighties fashion never come back so much that the style mentioned for that decade becomes hot again!
Bridal beauty
those flowers were changing
My fav. 1950
Was amazing and keep going
Such pretty brides💐❤❤
Pretty accurate to the look my makeup artist used at the time I was married 💗
Wow I didnt know glamour made a video just for marzia
Love these.
Now they have to make a 2020s section too!!!
1960perfect makeup for wedding
1930 perfect beautiful woooooow OMG 😙😍😍😍😍
1930s "high Greta Garbo arches... False lashes"

Nice video. I liked all the looks (even though they don't seem historically accurate) except the 2010s one - I thought it would have been prettier (I'm talking about the make-up only, not the model)

Brides are always beautiful👰👰🏻
the second model is a woman of very rare beauty
Very good
You know what's really getting me about this video? How awkward and uncomfortable they all looked fake throwing that bouquet! 😂😂😂
Most of these where so historically innacurate,it HURT.especially the 20's and 30s.Also these "facts" that you guys put in the corner probably aren't even true facts.
Really digging all of these Erica Koessler accessories :)
did you put out a craiglist ad for hair and make up?
I’m blessed to be a 80’s baby 💖💖

They legit all have the same look...except for the flower child from the 70s who just got her eyebrows brushed.
Smokey eye was missing the smoke 😆
i especially liked 30s and 70s 😍
Allure : Semua wanita itu cantik - Semua warna kulit itu cantik - Semua ukuran tubuh itu cantik ❤️
Why do the descriptions look nothing like what they applied? That’s 80s makeup was way too subtle. Hello?
the women look so beautiful in these ads

The 1920s look stole the show.
1930's is ethereal
She looks like an angel

the 1930's bride looks like one of Botticelli's painting
Even though I have promised myself that I will never marry anyone, it's interesting to know what other people have done for their wedding!
The 50’s veils are gorgeous but I don’t think a lot of the other decades are accurate
0:40
She looks like Galadriel
Please do Eddie redmayne for 9 things he’s never done before
Why not waiting until 2020?
1920 and 1950 are the best.
“Thick eyebrows” and “high arches” pffffft you mean stick thin and flat?
1950s❤️
The woman at 3:00 is the black version of Angelina Jolie
Everybody is nice and calm till the eighties come around
Every makeup is the same!!!
As an arabic. Let me tell you. Well our bride's makeup always been heavy especially eyes
Stop at 3:33 what is she doing?
But in my country,
Brides just swim on foundation then 100 of lipsticks very dark blush, creepy eyebrows, dark eyeshadows
I don’t get it we just use too much makeup
Is it only me or am I seeing Sebastian Bails as a makeup artist
For what reson did i think that this said brides-_maids_ makeup?
