I think it would be of greater help to viewers if the location of the local apartment on Google Maps was also presented. Your video was of great help to me. Thank you. I clicked subscribe and like!!
Great video. I'm enjoying the channel. I've been to Thailand a few times but haven't been to any of the nearby countries. I guess Singapore is about as close as I have been.
Thanks for video. My wife is Laotian, the prices are way too high compared to surrounding countries. This is like china, ghost buildings where no one is buying or renting. Once they realize, the prices will go down. The rooms do look clean though but so small. Appreciate the tour. The gym looks good.
$100 bucks for that place is less than Ideal. Spacewise, I have seen places in thailand that just a studio and a bathroom with balcony and no A/C for $45 to $65 bucks. Plus you have all the vendors and beach not to far away with a view. For a $125, you get something WAY better in Malaysia or Thailand. What the appeal here? Even the doors have these big gaps on the bottom. Not really what I would call a place I would pay a hundy for. But thanks for showing us! 🙂
Thx for the info on Thailand. That’s very informative. No oceanfront property in Laos, but there are some fantastic eco tour offerings in the North and South of Laos. Check out our playlist on Southern Lao road-trip! Southern Laos ua-cam.com/play/PLykUnpNJ2maMmZw04MCzyZQCI4gEO924P.html
This was great and helpful. I would prefer 3 bed 2 bath outside of the, city, center but glad to know you could live graciously for $650 per month . wow 😮
As a foreigner, you can own the home, but not the land. There are agreements you can enter for long term. More in this video: ua-cam.com/video/1RM2va5L8v4/v-deo.html
Great question! Dues are $1 per sq meter. The studio is ~28 sqm, and the 1BR is ~38sqm. So that would be ~$28 per month dues for the studio, and ~$38 per month for the 1BR. As for the property taxes: no annual taxes…maybe because this is technically a land-lease agreement for 62 years (based on the land use rights in Laos and the agreement for this Condo). More ?’s tou can contact the condo mgr directly…contact info in the video description. Thanks for watching!
Thx for watching! Since prices vary throughout the year, I would suggest contacting the mgmt office directly: For more info on the condo at Vientiane Life Center, contact: Khamouy Thammamonty sale.asst1@landmarkvientianelifecenter.com
You need to make the journey back to Laos and look at some of the homes you want to buy or rent. It could be a vacation home for you when you visit Laos.
That specific one is no longer available, but you can check Facebook groups for local offerings: Vientiane Apartment, Rent in Vientiane, Direct Apartment Rentals in Vientiane, Rent & Let in Vientiane…
Probably one can rent a decent place under a $300 per month , ine would prefer Thailand cambodia Vietnam under 500 a month, why Laos? If rent is under 300 then it's considerable....your cut per month seems to be very high
Interesting cost info on other countries. You can definitely find offerings at the lower end in Laos, just not with the Western amenities. The hongtel shown in the video is an example of offerings on the lower end. Thanks for sharing your info!
Land use rights are similar to Thailand: Foreigners are allowed to own condominium units in Laos under the “Law on Land,” which covers the land use rights of condominiums, allowing foreigners the right to purchase and own the rights to a unit inside a condominium for the term of the agreement. You own the condo but not the land underneath. In this specific case, I believe the term duration is 62 years, after which the agreement can be renewed. You might consider this a long-term lease. Thx for the question!
I think you would love a regular homestead. Just install some solar panels on your roof. Grow your own fruits and vegetables. Raise chickens. The warm climate is nice.

Great feedback! Glad the video was helpful. Thanks for watching, and happy to have you as a new subscriber!
Crazy how it cost as much as the midwest 😂😂😂...
There’s a range of options, but it is interesting what you can find at the top end!
I think the Midwest is more expensive because of the inflation in the USA.
Thanks for the video and information, very helpful 🙏

Can foreigner buy townhouse/townhomes?

Thumbs up 👍 Javier….would you happen to know how much the condo dues are as well as property tax on the condos are?

Did the woman tell you $95,000 for new 1 bedroom?
850 USD a month is way too expensive!
Definitely on the higher end, but good to see there’s a range of accommodations available for different budgets. Thanks for watching!
Expensive but living nice. Someone to clean, restaurant, gym and on pool on site. Live like a king not bad for $850
@@vellabella1 King of what? New Delhi? Dude!
WHAT ARE U SMOKING!
Do you think it costs $5 bucks? This is a luxury condo. It's for rich people.
@0306 that watertank?? that window divider between kitchen and living room should be removed to feel open.
Thanks for the comment!
We’ve seen that concept in similar condos in Thailand.

Can foriegeners buy condo in Laos? I'm talking about buying ( not leasing for 30-50 years / buying on Laotian wife name.)

Afraid of heights so condominiums are not for me because if I get drunk I might think that I can fly😂😂😂
Haha - Yes, you might have to worry about that if you’re not careful. Nice view, though!
