When you install this app it also installed an auv3 version of the instrument that can be loaded into a host like GarageBand, Logic, Camelot or loopy pro. Once open in a host you can then add an effect to the channel the instrument is loaded on. I've been using Camelot lately to use sounds live. The same way you would in a DAW on you computer.
So rich and deep sound....🌿🌷🌟 thanks Todd for share and also for the remembering of Stevie’s shining music..... 🌈 Could youI explain why the size of the app in IOS is only 42,9 Mb..... I don’t understand it..... cause I suppose this dedicated sample work it would be much more bigger in size cause of the samples richness..... generally a well sampled instrument makes the app size much mote larger in size.... Thanks! 😊
It's a great question. I think that goes to show that a well designed instrument doesn't necessarily need to be huge in size. The iOS version likely has less velocity layers per note and probably uses lossless audio compression. Perhaps some clever synthesis methods have been applied to the playback engine to make them feel like more velocity layers are there. At the end of the day.. if it sounds/feels good to play. It IS good! I also use The Nord Rhodes samples when I play live and they are also astonishingly small!
I don't know if you got your question answered already, but VTines uses a mix of samples and modelling, which is synthesis in real-time. Because of this, the space size is incredible light (but requires more processing power).
Todd, plugin is amazing and you take a dope sound out of it. I don't think I'll need more than this. Been using keyscape in laptop but I've been seeking for something even more portable (and less demanding on hardware). As you mentioned in the beggining, you're using a usb external sound module. Would it run using a jack 3.5+lightning port ?. Any particular recommendation on in/out possibilities? Thank you
I think I was recording the audio straight into my computer via the lightning cable. It's also possible to send midi in as well through the computer. When I've used a phone live I usually just use a camera connector kit with an audio jack and a power thru (to charge the phone) they sell them on amazon. They are really cheap. Downside is you might run into buzz.. Probably the better way to do it is to get an iOS compatible audio interface with midi. Or mabye an iRig from IK multimedia.
Great review 😊 I like to purchase a digital piano like a Yamaha CLP/CSP and use the ipad with plugins like vTines for live performance. Do you know if this is possible with just a usb to host cable on a digital piano ? So both audio and midi to a say CSP170 ? A little off topic but just wonder if you have tested this 😊
I don’t know the specific products you mention but it should work fine. You might need the camera connection kit for usb midi. Then just run to audio straight off the iPad output jack.
The accuracy to the Rhodes sound is insane. Wow. Just absolutely incredible
It's my favourite!
Wow! Really nice review and also really really great playing! As a big fan I’m especially jealous of your Chick licks ❤😊
Thanks!
The song title is Peg by: Steely Dan
if i could play like you, I'd conquer the world
Thank you! World domination is harder than expected..

Nice playing and review!!
Thanks so much!
Smooth as butter
Thanks my dude!
Really Great playing! Congrats! How do you manage to apply the DLYM effects to V tines please? can't do this...

@@ToddPentneythank you so much, for your content and for your valuable feedback.
can you stream the sound via bluetooth to speakers?
You could but it would likely add latency.
Amazing. What kind of chord progressions are you playing? Just random ones or from songs?
Mostly improvised. And a few tunes I know.
Hi, such a good video, Great sound and play! At minute 12, what reverb are you using?
I think it’s called AudioReverb.
@@ToddPentneyI see in the App Store an app by VirSyn called AudioReverb, but the GUI is totally different from the one in the video. Is it this one?
Ok, its that one. Gui differs on AUM obviously. I am just starting out... can you help me: which preset to use?

The best!
damn this is so sweet
It’s a great Rhodes sound!
What other phone or tablet kyeboard software do you recomend?
AUM is a great host. Lately I’ve been messing around with Baby Audio BA1. It’s a fun little synth that sounds really rich.
