Great reaction! It's Christmas, PLEASE would love to see you guys react to Oh Come All Ye Faithful. It really is amazing how they did this, and Avi's bass is insane in it. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
It's such a beautiful song, and they really do it justice!! As someone who grew up listening to Mark Lowry (the guy who wrote the song) and the Gaither Vocal Band in church, this has always been a special one to me.
Another great reaction to a classic PTX Christmas song. It is performed often on Mall music or other background vocals . Some people have no idea it is them so I am glad you realized it was them by their unmistakable vocals ❤❤❤❤❤ Merry Christmas to you both and your families
Beautiful reaction!!! You guys should do more of Pentatonix. Check out- Oh Holy Night, Christmas Time Is Here/Pure Imagination, Please Santa Please or a ton of other Christmas music videos. Thanks guys!
Thanx guys! That's quite the endorsement to want them to upgrade every song there ever was!! They have made it through about 200 pieces so far! More PTX Christmas music, please!!
This is my favorite Christmas song from them (and that's saying something, because their Christmas song catalog is absolutely epic!). One feature of the cinematography was after the halfway point, they often framed Kirstin's head against the opening of the cave... the way it almost perfectly matched the shape of her head reminded me of the classic portrayal of Mary in artworks with the halo around her. That was definitely no accident!
For something a little bit different for Christmas, check out "O Holy Night" as performed by Avi Kaplan (the bass in the video you reacted to here) in concert in December 2022. He'd had to postpone the three Texas shows on the tour due to a family emergency, so the shows were rescheduled to the end of the tour in mid-December. As a thank you to Dallas, Houston and Austin, he did this arrangement of "O Holy Night" on the fly, adding a Texas touch to it, and he and his touring band performed it as the final encore. ua-cam.com/video/5cvb2qOU0o0/v-deo.html
For info on the cinematography, look for a blog article by Vashi Video, who did the editing and color grading. He gives a lot of technical details and says the director filmed it using only the candlelight and the one light from the outside of the cave (which is Bronson Cave in Griffith Park, Los Angeles).
I saw the title and hit "subscribe", like, notification bell. Thanks for a great reaction video to one of the best groups out there! Merry Christmas!! 🎄☃️
The part where "Mary did you know" was sung over and over is not in the original song. PTX sang it this way first and now it seems all the acapella groups sing it this way as well. PTX just upgrades all the songs, they are absolutely AMAZING!! Best group ever
Just a by-the-way, that cave is where they used to shoot the old Batman TV series...the original Batcave.
It’s in Griffith Park

Agree! Oh Come all Ye Faithful
Ditto
Simply beautiful!
The acoustics inside that cave had to have been fantastic

Classic epic PTX! Absolutely no one like them on the planet- such a gift to the world for those lucky enough to experience them!
Fun factoid: this was filmed in the same cave used in the 1960's (I think) Batman TV show! 😅
Movie. The first one that I think had Ben Affleck in
@lesaahrenstein6360 not the movie, it was from the TV show. You x an google it
If you want to ascend to heaven on Pentatonix harmonies react to their cover of Imagine. You will hear the PTX wall of sound

Awesome guys! Merry Christmas!
You should check out their cover of the song " Shallow ". Kevin is beat boxing at the same time playing the cello.
The cave is the one and only 1960's BatCave, with Adam West.
I thought radio won’t play a Capella music.??
They do at Christmastime. Unfortunately it's the only time they do.
Johnny...PLEASE take Jeremiah's ability to pause away from him...for ALL our sakes! Please 🙏
They have to pause every so often for copyright. More likely to get a copyright strike if they don’t stop it.
@ Thanks…I know that. It was a joke because he always pauses….a LOT. This one wasn’t too bad.
Maybe stop pausing every few seconds....
