    Your finished piece was incredibly dope! I bought one of these from Helmut Lang almost 4 years ago now, it was the first time I have ever seen one and couldn't pass it up. Hardly anyone is onto these and I get asked about mine constantly. Thank you for the tutorial!! Do you guys have an email I could contact you at? Some business related questions. Thanks again!

    @MZDStar87 8 років тому

    Oh wow, this is pretty awesome. I can't wait to make this.
    Two questions: 1-I don't have a serger, Can this be completely done on a home sewing machine? 2-What type of material do you recommend?

    • @ProperFitClothing
      @ProperFitClothing  8 років тому +3

      +Mark Zaino 1. Yes you definitely can use a standard sewing machine. A sewing machine does the same straight stitch as a serger, it just doesn't clean and finish the inside of the seam like a serger.. but since all the insides will be hidden at the end anyway you're golden! 2. The awesome thing about this project is that you can use a huge variety of fabric, as long as it's not too stiff (i.e. denim, twill, woven cotton, etc.) so it wraps comfortably. Knits are definitely easiest to work with and drape very nicely. To start, I would recommend a medium weight polyester/cotton blend that's soft...once you're feeling more comfortable you can get creative with fleece, faux fur, velour, loose sweater knits, thinner summer fabrics.. whatever you're feeling!
