Just switched from Premiere Pro to DaVinci this week. Still learning, but DaVinci just makes way more sense as far as UI and effects go.

Amazing video. I'm only experiencing one issue. For the write-on effect, it's not allowing me to highlight the keyframes to compress them. Is there a way to fix this?
After Opening the keyframe panel click on the three dots on the right hand side of the panel then click on "expand tool controls" then select the keyframes and then right click you will find it.

It‘s just a ‚dust & scratch‘ overlay that I added without adjusting the composite mode to work as a background!:)

Is your Davinci Resolve a studio one? I can't even edit my keystrokes so maybe I was thinking that keystroke editing is something that can only be done in studio version
Hey! Yes, mine is the studio version but I'm almost 100% sure that this also works in the free version!
I too, liked the fast pace - but I would have liked a little bit of time at the end, to see the final result again. in some cases, the last effect was applied and you don't get to see what it did (without scrolling back to the head of the explaination

at the end of each film in cinema , there is a clip shows the cast name moving upward. how to create it in davinci?
A very simple way to do that is to use a Text+, drag it onto the timeline and stretch it out to the desired length. Then, in the inspector, type in all the names who appeared in that movie (below each other, not one after one). Now you should have a pretty big list - use the position "Y" under "transform" to scroll all the way to the top and set a keyframe at the very first frame of the Text+ on position y, go to the very end of the text+, set another keyframe on position y and change the y to the very bottom of that list.
You could go more fancy when you go into the fusion page and right click into the "styled text" window and select "character level styling" - then jump into the modifiers tab and highlight specific words you'd want to and you can just change size, font, tracking, spacing, color etc, of just that specific word! Hope this helps!
Unable to "drag digital glitch effect onto title." Nothing happens. I can't apply any effects to titles, only to video clips. What am I doing wrong?
I‘m guessing you‘re using the „Text“ instead of the „Text+“ Title - the Text is a plain title, the text+ is a fusion title that lets you add effects!:)

How do you do that background!?
It’s an overlay - you can just google dust and scratches overlay and you might find some for free, but 2 versions are also included in my title pack called ‚niklas christl titles‘ :)
how do you highlight the keyframes?
As shown in the video, left click with the mouse, hold, and drag a box over all of those keyframes - the let go of the left click
Is there a way to get more text or something? I don't have any of these effects or text.

It's super simple:
The flash transition is just a "light leak overlay" and the sound is a Soundeffect called "camera shutter" that I got from artlist! :)
I really like the old film like animation, even though I came here for the text effects, can I do the the old film effect thing in davinci too?
I was trying to do the "Write on" but cannot find the time streaching in the keyframes window. You know why that may be? I found a work around tho, by making it a compound clip and speeding it up so it can fit in the desired timeframe.
For the Write On Effect, I can't seem to find a way to select the stroke in the keyframe window. Can't make a box there. 😣 Any ideas?

Hey! It’s just an overlay that you can download from the internet. Just search for ‚dirt and dust overlay‘ and there are a trillion to choose from on the web 😅

Die sind eigentlich alle ziemlich frei selbst erstellt. Auf der Website unter ‚Titles‘ gibt es das Modern - Minimal Title Pack, da sind ein paar der Cinematic titles als Drag - and - Drop Titles für die Edit page mit drin.
Falls du mehr zu den Cinematic titles lernen willst, ich arbeite tatsächlich gerade an einem längeren Tutorial, das kommt voraussichtlich am Donnerstag um 14 Uhr raus - da erkläre ich 2 verschiedene ‚cinema‘ Titel Animationen!:)

Moin, klasse Video über das ich gerade gestolpert bin. Allerdings bekomme ich es nicht hin, dass die Buchstaben beim Cinematic nacheinander erscheinen. Bei mit erscheinen alle Buchstaben alle gleichzeitig von 0 langsam auf Sichtbar. Ich würde aber gerne, dass sie wie gedacht in zufälliger Reihenfolge erscheinen. Ich habe alle Einstellungen so übernommen, außer einen anderen Font. Kannst du helfen? Grüße aus Virginia

Hast du im modifier auch die order auf Random but one by one gestellt? Das erzeugt nämlich den Effekt, dass die Buchstaben zu unterschiedlicher Zeit erscheinen.
Oder den Delay im modifier nochmal etwas erhöhen, das sollte dein Problem lösen!:)

danke für die schnelle Antwort. Ja, habe alles so eingestellt wie beschrieben.
Habe dann noch mit dem Delay und einigen anderen Variablen rumprobiert, immer dasselbe Ergebnis. Dann alles gelöscht und nochmal eingegeben. Immer noch das Ergebnis das alle Buchstaben gleichzeitig erscheinen.
HAbe es gerade mit dem Montserrat Font erneut probiert. Jetzt fuktioniert es. Nochmals danke fürs Tutorial und die schnelle Antwort

You have to right klick exactly on one of those marked keyframes, not anywhere in the free space
