Brilliant video Colton! Awesome observation! Lately, I been doing a lot of nature macro photography the small worlds in our bigger world. Especially Spring time with all the flowers, details in plants and occasional insect! Thanks for sharing! Never looked at those books much but now interested in the photography!
I bet they have a macro nature one. A lot of the shots in the book are macro, even some that are intended to appear full size! Are you doing insects or nature?
@@ColtonMatocha Mostly flora and fauna! Here in the North East US, had a very long cloudy winter, Spring has been rainy and is late! When it is sunny out, I get out and photo!
Man! The uber-day-glow frontispiece on this video.... Made me think of what i'm really waiting for - the release of 'Matocha Rarities: The Missing Black and Whites'. Loved the lobster swarm, btw. Good vid, too - good thoughts in a direction that i don't often go in (probably because 'my' world tends not to be the constructed world, unless it's the work of spiders). Hope you're having a great day - 0600 and pitch black here still and i've yet to figure out where to go for some early morning shutter therapy.... Cheers.
The lobster swarm was a lot of fun to do! They didn't taste very good though, yet I ate them all... Curse of the sweet tooth. It's becoming an occupational hazard for me. 😆I hope you find some good shutter therapy moments today!
@@ColtonMatocha The lobster swarm, and this is not to disparage any of your other meals, has gone to the top of my list of your candy arrangements. I attribute that to its authenticity, which resonates with my interest in the natural world - so it worked in several very different ways, for me. And thanks... think i got a couple of nice images on my first tentative venture out into the cold and damp. Two more sessions to come today, however, so anything is possible. All the best, Hombre.
@@ColtonMatocha My shooting varies quite a bit - every day, and often twice or thrice. That said, it typically averages about 50 frames per day - excluding burst shooting which most of what I look for doesn't warrant. But i'm learning - I only came back to photography 14 months ago after not really shooting for 30 years - so my practice is continually developing and changing. I'm very committed, though! Cheers. Ps: don't ever c u going after chocolate... u got some sort of problem with chocolate, bro???

@@luzr6613 Yeah that's an interesting observation! I'm glad you got some good stuff! You have three separate sessions in a day?
