Cool but I’m totally lost. 😂 I need to watch approximately 100 more times. I get why but you go so fast. 😵💫
Our apologies! You can actually slow the speed of the video in the settings by clicking the gear and then clicking "PlayBack Speed" - Dawn
That’s what I do. Works great!
Right. I’m more confused
Basically you make an outline of your image with HTV, then place the sublimation image on top of the HTV. The htv sticks to cotton and the image sticks to htv.
Also, start and stop as you do the steps in the video while you do the project “with her”!
I would appreciate seeing more on editing designs. I enjoy all your videos. So helpful. Thanks!
awesome...this is very informative. I am real close to getting a sublimation printer and this has been the best video so far I have seen. Thanks so much.
Love easysubli! I use it on my cotton tees and washed them several times. No peeling. Hasn't faded. I made mistakes in the beginning. But it is worth it.
Thank you for sharing, Deana! We would love to see the photos of your projects in the Facebook group: go.designbundles.net/facebook_community - Dawn
Knowing that htv can be layerd, I took some white siser easyweed and heat pressed on a piece of fabric just long enough to tack it and peeled off the clear plastic sheet. I then put a piece of htvront clear sublimation vinyl on top, tacked that and then also peeled clear sheet. After cooling, I put my sublimation picture on and pressed at about 200 for 60 secs. which was not hot enough for my image to completely transfer. I reapplied my image and pressed at 350 for 60 secs. I got ghosting because of previous removal of image, but it worked!!! Don't know if this works out cheaper than siser easysubli but I used what I had on hand.
Wow so interesting! We might have to try this! Thank you so much for sharing this hack! - Agata
All your videos are great, thanks. It is good to see different ways of sublimation. I have tried a number but wearing the t shirt is not easy as it is either stiff or the logo is creased. The best and easy method is just colour on a white poly t shirt. 😍
Very true Stephen! We like Easy Subli quite a lot but you are right all of those methods are not as great as sublimation directly on polyester - Agata
When do you use parchment paper vs butch paper on htv? Thanks
Love it ❤
Guys for whatever reason I'm not getting notices of your videos!!!
Crystal 🔮 this is another great video! The design is cool on the holographic vinyl. TY for sharing!!
Hi Joy!!! Oh no!! I know you are subscribed so that's strange! We have a new premiere today at 4pm EST! - Dawn
Love it! Thank you.
Yay Thank you - CrystalAnn
I tried the Holographic hack and it did not turn out as I would have liked - however you used different settings - so I'm going to try again. Thank you for doing these - super helpful!
Hi Laurie! Thank you for sharing your experience and we're glad you are giving it another try! Let us know how it goes and happy crafting! - Dawn 🙂
Thank you for the fun & awesome files. I truly appreciate your informative videos as well. I would love to see a video of how to edit it before we have completely brought the image into design space. Much, much appraise to you and your team of people.
Thank you. Shelly
Very nice video , I’m trying to do this and I seem to be running into a problem, when I sublimate my image keeps coming out too big for the paper and I was wondering how I can fix this issue , what’s the biggest size image I can use and how can I center it so that the full image fits on the sheet, thanks in advance for your help
Do you think this method or the sublimation dtf works better and lasts longer?
Great video! I think I would line up the sublimation on the holographic before putting the holographic on the shirt. It looked like the image was about 1/4"- 1/2" to low. I just don't think the 2 second tack down was worth not being able to see exactly where the image would be added.
Hey Holly! That's true and that's a great fix suggestion. Thank you for watching with us today and happy crafting! - Dawn
Great video. Question for you. I am new to sublimation and want to sublimate on dark fabric. Have you ever done a comparison of Sisers Easy Subli vs HTVRont? From what I am seeing these seem to be the best 2 products but I haven't found a video comparing the 2.
I'd love more videos on how to customize sublimation prints!
Hi Dawn! We will add this for our list of tutorials for our upcoming videos. Any design program in particular?
@@DesignBundles Hi! Canva tutorials would be awesome.
Love the video, thank you! Could you do a video on how to design an SVG from the scratch please?
Great suggestion! Noted - Agata
Why does it look like the holographic vinyl changed colors after pressing? It has an orange tinge instead of the pearlescent color
Hi there! The heat may have something to do with the change in color! - Dawn
So I have a converted epson that I use for sublimation. Would this work? I have bought a bung from your website for tumblers but I'd like to make some shirts when I get a flat press
This is an awesome video, you do an outstanding job giving directions to newbees like me. The first shirt that I attempted came out really dull and there was A LOT of ink still on the sublimation paper. Do you think this is from low temp/not enough cook time in the press?
Hi there! You may need to adjust the amount of ink through your print manager! - Dawn
Good video. Did not know cam sublimate on holographic vinyl. Will give it a try. Have use subli vinyl and it works beautifully. Only downside is it isn't flat and smooth as vinyl. Color lasts long.
Not particularly my taste but it's great to have material/supply options!!! Thanks for all your videos🤩😍
Hi Karla! Thank you for your feedback! What types of projects do you prefer? We are working on ideas for new tutorials so any project ideas would be great! - Dawn
@@DesignBundles I'd really like to see more Sublimation hacks on DARK 100% cottons (shirts, sweatshirts hoodies). Black, navy, red, dk. grey etc. Thanks so much!
Thanks so much for the full video. So you are able to use siser easy subli with regular sublimation ink? I thought it only worked with Easy Subli ink.
Hi Kathy. No you can use it with any sublimation ink. We only tried sawgrass so far but it works perfect! - Agata
@designbundles I followed your steps everything worked but my ink looks faded/dull. I found videos on changing color setting in printer did that. I am using the Epson ET2800 printer and koala sublimation paper and cricut heat press. What am I doing wrong???
Hey, I was wondering is that just normal HTV Holo vinyl?
So my question is I want to sublimate a dry fit dark color. How can I do so? I know I would need to add white htv vinyl underneath but will that work for dark dry fit shirt. I know there's tons of videos with cotton dark shirts.
I would like to see a video on how to manipulate the design to fit my needs. Thanks
Hi Ismari! Noted ! - Agata
Can you tell me what is this program Canvas?
What about in washing?Does the stamp still stay ?
what is everything i need to start, printer, software, PC requirements, shirt press?
Can I sublimate on 100% polyester black tshirt using white sublimation vinyl?
Can we do the same process when it comes to putting a picture of someone on the shirt as well?
Can I do HTV on a Modal 68 Polyester 29 Spandex 3 shirt?
12:06 how do you get it to peel the image out of the holographic. Is it a setting on the printer can any Epson do this?
Thank you so much for your videos! I have a question, I see a lot that say Nana but I'm Nona. Can you change that as well?
Hi Ellie! You can personalize any of your designs within your own design program! If you like a design with the spelling of Nana, you can reach out to the designer who may be able to change it for you! - Dawn 🙂
I have a Scan N Cut machine I how would I go about cutting it out on white printable vinyl.? - great tutorials tyvm
Hi! We have a video on how to use printable vinyl and which one is best here - ua-cam.com/video/cn89v2DgOZs/v-deo.html Hope it helps :) - Agata
Will any holographic htv work or only the Expressions brand?
Hi Lorri! Any holographic htv will work! - Dawn
So I am new at this. I am trying your inkjet trick on a white shirt but if I was putting a plain white logo on a black shirt, do I have to use the white background?
Hi there! You may want to first use white HTV and then put the log outline around it. Sublimation printers won't print in white!- Dawn
I'm trying to not use a cricut. Can I print and iron on dark fabric. With these sister sheets
Could you have also cut the design on cricut after printing to make lining up easier?
Yes you definitely could! - Agata
Question, can you sublimate on the door mats that we do the flex seal on? If not do you know any type of door mat that can be?
The polyester gray and black doormats from Home Depot sublimate beautifully. Look for videos
You might be able to sublimate on the coir door mats however I'm not sure how well it would hold up as the substrate needs to be polyester. -Brittany
What was the sublimation paper you used? I used a sublimation paper on shiny iron vinyl and the paper stuck to the vinyl. I had to use water and scrub brush to get the sublimation paper off. Please help.
Hi there! We recommend True Pix sublimation paper available on Amazon! - Dawn
What was the purpose of saving as a PDF instead of justing printing from Cricut design space?
I thought the same thing lol. This video was confusing and normally I can pick up on 1st watch but think I need to watch this few times to get to grip with it. I liked the design but when pressed on holographic one it did ruin it what other colour htv back grounds can u sublimate on . On dark fabric
That made no sense to me. Why not just print initially?
How cool
Thank you Andrea! - Agata
I went by instructions but my paper sublimation design did not peel off of HTV, it stuck to the base (offset) design
I'd love to see more editing please
Yes, another customer had suggested this as well! - Dawn
I cannot get my Subli Jet ink to dry on the Easy Subli. I have tried the hover method, letting it dry for days, a blow dryer--nothing works. When I sublimate the ink smears. Do you. have any hints or ideas? I have wasted so much easy subli and shirts. Thanks
Which sublimation printer and ink are you using? - Agata
I sublimated on cricut brand white glitter htv with cricut brand galaxy infusable ink transfer sheet. After a few washes, it bled. There is no white boarder anymore, but that's alright, I guess. I just hate that it didn't stay the way I made it since it ended up being a $50 hoodie.
Can ANYONE tell me exactly what all I need to start this business? I was looking at the VEVOR Heat Press. But what else do I need? What kind of printer do I need? And do I want sublimation or DTF? Because I will be printing tshirts for a musician so probably a lot of black Tshirts. Can someone help me please?
I'm fairly new to HTV, but one of the things concerning me is that I've seen warnings about not pressing HTV at too high of a temperature or for too long, but then I also see people doing sublimation over HTV like this, with a significantly higher and longer exposure to heat than HTV instructions would have you follow.
Is it generally fine to press HTV at that long of a time at 400 degrees?
I press my shirts at 320 for 20 seconds, and press each shirt twice(before and after peeling) and the htv sets really well and looks great, but my concern is with longterm durability from the adhesive.
Hi there! Which press are you using? - Dawn
@Design Bundles currently I'm using an HTVRont auto press
I have 100% black polyester aprons.
I used EasySubli......315 degrees for 15 seconds. The EasySubli looked great.
Then I used A-Sub that was put through the printer with sublimation ink. I ironed the A-Sub at 400 degrees for 60 seconds. It looks terrible.
It looks like everything melted together. The colors are terrible.
Any suggestions, please?
Hi there! We would have suggested the same time and temp. You may want to reach out to the manufacturer directly to see if they suggest a lower temp or a shorter time - Dawn
Sheesh I need this in slow mo! Lol
It’s it technically sublimating on the htv not the garment
Yes, technically 😊 - Dawn
Cute
I would like more videos on easisubli
Hi Lois! No problem! We are working on our next set of tutorials as we speak. We appreciate your feedback! - Dawn 🙂
I used holographics once and my design crinkled so much after the first wash that you can barely make out the design. I hope I just did something wrong because I love the idea. I will try it again.
Try with different holographic vinyl it might just have been the brand- Agata
@@DesignBundles Thanks, I will. I am pretty sure it was Cricut brand. It is pretty much the only kind of vinyl I use.
Are you saying it doesn’t matter which brand but as long as it is holographic HTV?
Most holographic HTV's should be ok with this as well as glitter - Agata
can this work on a scan n cut
Hi there! Do you have a sublimation printer for the design or were you looking to use something more like printable htv? - Dawn
So are all htvs sublimatable??
Unfortunately no, not all of them have a polyester coating - Agata
Is there a way to know?
Hello, hopefully someone can help me, I have followed all the steps and watched so many videos with no help. My issue is when I finish ironing on the sublimation, the final product comes out wrinkled. I don’t prewash, I’ve taken off the lint, changed heat settings, tried different vinyl, but it’s always the same outcome. Whenever I sublimate with just sublimation on a light shirt I have no issue. But when I do it with iron on vinyl as a layer, it’s always wrinkles at the last step. Hopefully someone has some answers
My cricut design space won't let me save to pdf what am I doing wrong
Hey Tracie! Would you mind sharing a screenshot of your options with mail@designbundles.net? We can better help troubleshoot through email or chat! - Dawn
So why not just send it straight to the Sawgrass from DS... what's the advantage of saving it as a PDF then printing it?
Hi there! This is showing another way in case the crafter doesn't have a Sawgrass 🙂 - Dawn
@@DesignBundles Oh ok...I thought maybe I had missed something, Lol..... Thank You!!!
Ye but u dont need sublimation for that design.u could just cutt in htv vinyl
U just made more work qnd it cost more
I wish you would show in Silhoutte......
Hi! Just trying to get in the swing of things with Silhouette since it's easy to forget how to use the software! We are working with Crystal on bringing more Silhouette videos so stay tuned! - Agata
Anyone ever had your EasySubli COMPLETELY change colors after pressing?! When it first printed, the colors looked like they were going to be accurate after I dried it under the press and weeded it but after I pressed it, the taupes and pinks and blues turned to yellows and olives and grays :( Direct printed to easy subli then pressed at 311° for 15 seconds with medium pressure.
I'm not positive, but I would be concerned that drying it under the press may have been a little too hot and messed with the inks before they had a chance to sublimate. Only a guess though.
The colors are supposed to get brighter with sub ink because the heat turns the “ink” into a gas.
So much extra work. Background is already black, u could have just cut the design on that vinyl and the background gives u the black needed..
mirror? not mirror? did any one catch that
Thats not sublimation tho
Hi Josh! We are sublimating on the HTV as another way to be able to use sublimation designs on darker shirts - Dawn
It looks cool, but it looks wrinkle after 1st wash
Hi Diana! Wrinkles are easy to remove after the wash by lightly going over the shirt with an iron or heat press, while being careful to not burn the image! - Dawn
Mirror don't mirror? Got lost
Hi Helen! Yes both should be mirrored :) - Agata
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD CAN SOMEONE LINK ME TO A VIDEO THAT DOESNT DO TO MUCH TALKIKG 😢
sorry just stressed with searching for what I need
Sorry but the instrumental music during a DIY is very distracting !!
Noted! - We will lower the music in the future videos - Agata
what you are doing is vinyl on the shirt, not
sublimating on the shirt.
Speaking WAY too fast.
Sorry but the worst design ever
Thank you for the feedback. Was it the coloring or design that you didn't enjoy? We are always looking to improve so we appreciate hearing our customers' opinions - Dawn
@@DesignBundles I couldn't really see the flower at all. Maybe that is what they are talking about?
Not sure what the design has to do with the creator. She is very clear and helpful
You talk to much without sense
you talk too fast why are you in such a hurry? Slow down and your videos will be much better.
What type of paper are you printing on? Is there special paper or is it regular printer paper?
Hi there! It's True Pix Sublimation paper! - Dawn
