Nice review Alan. There's been a lot of reviews on the Vevor mill vice recently. Everyone seems to agree it's very good and excellent value for money. I've had my 3" Vevor Aculoc vice for over two years now, and it had been great. Much better and easier to use than my toolmakers vice. Cheers Nobby
Thanks for this review Alan, exactly what I needed at present as I was considering purchasing either the 80mm or 100mm vice of what Vevor call the High Precision 100mm CNC Vice. My mill is a Centec 2B which has a very narrow table (only 125mm) so I am still not sure if the 80mm or the 100 is appropriate. There is not that much difference in footprint between the two sizes but the 80mm just sits much lower. As the mill is horizontal having a pair of matching vices seems to be sensible but when the Vertical head is installed then a single vice is probably enough. Pleased for your comments about the flatness and general quality as at this price having to do some edge relief and cleanup is expected. Thanks for the review.
I've got a Warco WM14 which has a 120mm wide table, and the 80mm version of this vice. The Y axis dial is difficult to see properly as it's covered by the overhang. The 100mm version would make it impossible to see. Obviously not a problem if you have a DRO.
good review Alan, these look like the vise I got off arc years ago but half the price. don`t forget to check across the base of the jaws. you are lucky with your quill test, I think I`ve got the same mill as you but later and my column is way out but luckily the quill is true once i square it up, shocking actually for the machine as it left a rather bad feeling for me with the quality of the mill. 👍
I've never even tried testing how square my mill is when it comes to the drill depth, that's a good point.

Could you plase give me the hieght of the the jaw from the table without the swivel base fitted.
Hi it’s about 96mm
Thank you for the info. It's a little taller than my Vertex one, I was hoping it would be lower.

hmmm, no mention of the plain to see alignment of the two jaws left and right.

I bought china junk and invested my time fixing a band new vice. Then I bought a Kurt DX4 and a DX6. Buy once, cry once.
