- Did I tell? My acquaintance with the music of Dissection began with the song The Somberlain from the Live Legacy album. This is the case when I like the live version of the song more than the studio version. In my opinion, it sounds more aggressive and evil.
Tuning - slightly sharp D Standard.
I tuned the strings approximately like this:
4th - 37.25 Hz
3rd - 49.70 Hz
2nd - 66.35 Hz
1st - 88.50 Hz
(accuracy isn't guaranteed)
Lyrics:
I fell deeper and deeper as light now was gone
I could feel the dark embrace my soul
Agony was no more, and so was pain
At this point of solitude I knew I was there...
There where I belong
Belong!
Thus far a long journey through my soul's infinity
It has been a journey far beyond mortality
I have found what I wanted, tranquility
I'll thrive on evil, eternally
I flew over crystal ground
My existence numb
Over orchards of grievance
Sorrow and tears
This beautiful silence...
It calls me now
Black fog devours me but I can see it all
The monument of my past
The land of the seven horizons before my eyes
I reach the land of spiritual rest
Life force
The Somberlain
It's the dawn of descending
I am the Somberlain
Down to evil divine domain
Lord of infernal, gather my strength
Carry me through the gates
It's the dawn of descending
I am the Somberlain
Down to evil divine domain
For I'm eternal night
I'm the Somberlain
Precede my evil divine domain
I've been waiting for this...
key to the gate by burzum bass cover when
maybe someday, but definitely not in the foreseeable future
@@Eitrigg okay man take care i love your videos
@@ImThorels thanks for watching
Awesome cover and tone dude! How did you get that tone?
Thank you. I'm not good at explaining such things, but long story short, i used the preset Slip Note Wide and Studio Reverb in Guitar Rig 5, and the settings for Virtual Mix Rack as in this video ua-cam.com/video/-aglIy71S5Y/v-deo.html (settings for the first bass track). But in the FG-S equalizer, I increased the decibels in the LMF section.
Why are band names getting harder to read?
Are they just trying to make sure they never sell out since nobody knows who they are?
That's one way to put it. Although I think that if a band writes good music, a hard-to-read name won't stop it from finding its listeners.
