London Vlog - My Weekend Break Away + Retro Gaming Market - MJG

Welcome to another one of my Videos. I have done some day out Vlogs, but here is something new, Jamie having a 3 day break away in London? That's a rare occasion, well being MJG, lets plan some Events and see how things go.
The main reason for the Trip, was the Retro Gaming Market which I booked my Ticket a few Months back. This will be the second time I've attended this Event. So lets make a Weekend of it.
Everyday provided its own set of challenges, but it was most certainly the Break I needed.
I don't add much Music to Day Out Vlogs, but there was some Music I had to mute out, so I added some Music to those bits of Footage.

Thank you. I wasn't sure how to finish the Video off. I wanted footage on the Train, but I was so warn out from it, then I decided to do what I did. A bit unprofessional with the moving of the Camera, but Jasper was awesome at the end.

24 years away and I still miss London. It looks all so familiar, yet different.
When you showed Buckingham Palace I remembered that when I was like 20ish at silly oclock in the morning on a weekend, I rode my bike at somewhere between warp factor 9 and plaid, went the wrong way around the roundabout and GTFO there before anyone decided to chase me. Aahhh the good old days lol.
@daishi5571 Cheers for watching Paul. It's been a while since I was last at Buckingham Palace, and the weather was perfect for my latest visit. 24 years, wow. Renting a Bike is something I've never done in London. It certainly would of saved my Legs.
@@MorganJustGames I use to work near the palace so to me it was just a busy obstacle (especially when the queen was moving around) when I needed to get somewhere. I guess living and working in London changes your perspective. I saw when the bridge was raised! to me that mean that the traffic was backing up.
I take it they made the roundabout at Buckingham palace pedestrian only now, so my motorbike would stick out lol.

I have to admit, I got a bit teary when I watched it back. He is a little Gem that Jasper. Mum looked after him, and she liked looking after him as Jasper so friendly and enjoys a fuss and is a purrrrr machine.
So happy you got a holiday. Loved the Lego exhibition. Only half way through the vlog, so still much more to enjoy! 🎉😊😊

Was better than the last time I went to this event. I bought 4 items last time and 1 of them was a PS1. This year was much better.

Jasper rocks. SEems to have been loads of SMS stuff in the market. That first hotel house thing looked pretty sketchy, glad you found somewhere better
@spudliet There was loads of Master System and Mega Drive. I was really surprised at how well the conditions were and apparently they were accepting trades at the event also, but only certain systems. There was a guy looking to trade some PS2 games, and they said no.
Awesome video and so cool that you got to take a break! Although that first place wasn't what you had in mind overall it seemed like you managed to see and do lots :) Looking forward to the unboxing video for it :)
I didn't spend enough time searching for hotels. I was on a tight budget and had no idea where was best to go. The Photos on the Site were of the larger rooms, not mine, so I assumed all the rooms were the same. Was partly my fault, but some of its features were easily missed.
@@MorganJustGames Seems like most was missed in that room, basically just a bed and a wonky wardrobe
Nice trip mate :) That BNB sure was overpriced for such a sparse room. Rummaging thru crates of old games are fun. I'll be doing the same on Aug.17 an 18 :) And I'll meet a legend one of those days...Chris Huelsbeck himself :)

Nice vlog, felt like I was there myself looking through overpriced retro products lol.. I'm just jealous because I couldn't go and no one around me is interested in anything retro related. 😹 Good to see you had an exhausting yet great time! Jasper is obviously very happy, he thinks you've been out hunting!

What a classic video to add to your oeuvre - hotel from hell lol. Might as well stay in a youth hostel. Yeah it was pretty dire and tbh I wouldn't have stayed the first night and just gone somewhere else due to the echoey sterility and posibility of eavesdroppers.
@seanp8220 Part of it was my error, but the Photos online were of the larger rooms, so I assumed that was what I was receiving. The kitchen wasn't a problem, but I was expecting a Bathroom of my own as every hotel I've stayed at in the past, has had one.

That's a lot of walking Jamie and with new shoes, no wonder your feet in pain.

I looked at the Pictures yeah. The pictures were of the larger Bedrooms which had Sofas, TVs and double the space. The one I was given wasn't on the site, so I assumed all the Bedrooms looked like that. I had a feeling the Kitchen may of been a shared one, but I wasn't aware the Bathroom was. Basically I didn't spend enough time looking around, but I was on a limited budget. At the bottom of the page, I did notice the shared Bathroom, but either I didn't scroll down far enough or I just missed it, it was partly my error, but weird that my Room wasn't featured in the Photos.
@@MorganJustGames Yes they should have had photos of all rooms. Kitchen share can be fine, have had that sometimes but you do want your own bathroom with toilet and shower in a hotel. Otherwise it's called Hostel and has a much lower price :)
Don't forget to give a review on the hotel so other can see what you think about it before they book it.

You live in London? I assume near Greenford?
@@MorganJustGames yeah off Greenford but a 15min walk to the train station into London which takes about 45min or so

The cashier had dollar signs for eyes, so I really hope you do make a video on what you bought. - I had no idea there exists Rampage figures. They're not amazing, but still kind of cool
@Awprod2000 Thank you. I wanted to buy much more but I had to be good. Yeah that Lizzie grabbed my attention as I'd never seen anything like that for Rampage.
@@MorganJustGames Turns out they were walmart exclusive stretch toys released in 2018 when the Rampage movie was released. If you didn't know, there is also a Rampage board game from 2013, which does look pretty awesome

@nickydonaldson670 I don't think it has a name as its a house. I had to ring him when I was outside the property as I wasn't sure if I was at a Hotel or someone's Front Door.
3:10 would have loved to see your face, as you opened the wardrobe, and saw it was your ensuite ;) What was it you booked?
Yeah imagine that. I looked at the Photos and all the Photos were of the larger rooms which had more features. Didn't occur to me that there were smaller rooms. I just assumed they were all the same.
£150 for Super R-Type!!! Christ alive!
I saw an R-Type 3 for £500.
